Chapter 43 Naming the Border Collie
Today is July 30th. Ye Bai returned to Qiyang City to celebrate his mother's birthday. It was already 10 o'clock in the evening when he returned.
He and Han Jianye happened to bump into each other head-on in the dormitory building.
"Team Han..."
Han Jianye nodded and said that he would go to his aunt's house tonight to pick up the Border Collie.
Han Jianye took two steps and then stopped. His eyes sank slightly, and then the corners of his lips rose unconsciously. He turned around and looked at Ye Bai, "Come with me to a place."
Ye Bai was a little confused, "Where are we going?"
"You'll find out when you get there."
"No..."
"Get in the car!"
Two hours later,
Han Jianye and Ye Bai walked out of the gate of a residential community, with a black and white Border Collie on a leash beside them.
Ye Bai's thoughts were in a mess. He stared at Han Jianye with an unhappy expression and said, "Why didn't you tell me earlier that you were coming to Political Commissar Gao's house?"
"I didn't do anything at the leader's house."
Ye Bai responded angrily: "If you say I won't come, then I won't come."
(╯‵□′)╯︵┴─┴ You bastard!
He was made to feel very uneasy, and the two of them listened to Political Commissar Gao's "political lesson" for more than an hour.
He felt that Han Jianye did it on purpose and brought him here to share this "honor".
Ye Bai sat in the passenger seat without saying a word. He turned his head to look out the window. The evening breeze blew on his face, ruffling the strands of hair on his forehead. His eyes were bright on his well-defined face, but his mouth was pouting in grievance. He had never suffered such "suffering" before.
As expected, when I’m in a bad mood, even the air stinks.
Han Jianye kept driving with an expressionless face.
"Aren't you going to celebrate your mother's birthday today? You should be happy."
 ̄︿ ̄ Hum! ! !
Han Jianye glanced at him and found that he was looking out the window without answering, so he smiled and said, "I'm sorry, don't be angry, I will definitely tell you next time."
Ye Bai was so angry that he didn't want to talk anymore. At this moment, he found that Han Jianye was not driving back to the police station.
This time he finally got alert, "Where are we going?"
"To my house."
"No." Ye Bai refused again cleanly and neatly.
"I need your help with something." He drove the car into the basement of the community, then led the Bian Mule out of the car. He looked at Ye Bai in the car, "Aren't you going to get out of the car?"
"I want to go back to the dormitory."
Han Jianye just said calmly, "I'm going home to sleep tonight."
Ye Bai was immediately unhappy, "Why did you bring me here when you can go home and sleep?"
"I've brought the Border Collie back. I may not go to the dormitory to sleep often after this." After saying that, he closed the car door and walked away.
Ye Bai immediately got out of the car and caught up with a confused expression, "You go home and live, what does it have to do with you bringing me here?"
Han Jianye just looked down at the Border Collie and suddenly sighed, "This dog is so pitiful. It has been running around with me everywhere and has no fixed place to live. You know I'm very busy, but if someone helps me look after it, it won't starve."
"What do you mean by that?"
Han Jianye threw the car keys to him and said, "Drive back to the dormitory by yourself. It's a pity that no one can take turns to take care of the dog."
After saying that, he patted its head and said in a low voice: "You have a hard life even though you recognize me as your master. You go hungry nine times out of ten. By the way, I haven't given you a name yet."
Ye Bai was stunned in the spot. After listening to Han Jianye's words, he understood them. Then he looked at the Border Collie at his feet and suddenly softened his heart. His tone softened a little. "If you don't have time, you can let me come over to help you feed the dog."
After hearing this, Han Jianye's eyes flashed with joy, but he still had a calm expression, "Then come upstairs with me. If you don't go to my house, how do you know where I live? You can also interact with this dog, and he will kiss you. Next time, come by yourself, and it won't bite you."
Ye Bai nodded, thinking that this neighborhood was close to the police station, so he could walk back by himself later.
Han Jianye had already hired someone from a housekeeping company to clean the house during the day. He lives alone in a 120-square-meter apartment with three bedrooms, two living rooms and two bathrooms.
But this was nothing to Ye Bai, except that he had the dog food in his hand and didn't know where to put it.
Han Jianye went to the refrigerator and got two bottles of mineral water. He handed one to Ye Bai and said, "Put the dog food in the corner. I'll clean it up later."
Ye Bai took the mineral water and held it gently in his hand, but did not drink it immediately.
He asked softly, "You just said it doesn't have a name yet?"
Han Jianye squatted down, gently stroked the Bian Mu's head, and replied: "Yes, I'm not very good at naming, I don't know what to call it. How about Zhang Zhiqiang?"
Ye Bai chuckled, "Is there any other choice? It seems to be a female dog."
Han Jianye pondered for a moment, "How about a rice bowl?"
Ye Bai made a suggestion: "Why don't you write a few names and let it choose?"
So the two of them sat on the ground and started choosing a name for the Border Collie.
Ye Bai gave Border Collies several names based on the gender characteristics of their hair: Oreo, Yuanbao, Dove, and Lucky.
Han Jianye was more direct and wrote down two names: Li Fugui and Zhang Guihua.
Looking at these names, Ye Bai couldn't help laughing: "Do you really have to give them surnames?"
Han Jianye looked nonchalant and said casually, "Let it choose for itself."
Then, they put all these names in front of Bian Collie, and Ye Bai patiently read each name to him.
After that, they let Border Collie make his own choice.
Han Jianye sat on the ground with his arms crossed, his eyes cold but with a hint of warmth, quietly observing Ye Bai.
In the end, the clever Border Collie gently touched Ye Baiqi's name "Yuanbao" with his right paw.
Ye Bai showed a satisfied smile on his face and said, "It seems that it likes the name 'Yuanbao'." He turned to Han Jianye and asked, "Captain Han, what do you think?"
Han Jianye shrugged nonchalantly and replied casually, "As long as it likes it."
Afterwards, Ye Bai tried calling "Yuanbao" a few times, and the Border Collie responded excitedly, obviously very satisfied with the name.
Ye Bai looked at his watch and found that it was already late at night. He looked up and said to Han Jianye, "It's too late. I have to go back."
Han Jianye was holding a change of clothes in his hand and preparing to take a shower. "Why are you going back at this time? Sleep here tonight and go together tomorrow morning."
"But I...( ′. ` )..."
Before he could finish his words, Han Jianye threw the pajamas in his hand to him and said, "Wear mine."
Then he thought of something, looked at Ye Bai's crotch, pondered for a while, and walked towards the cloakroom.
Ye Bai was stunned, a little at a loss as to what to do with Han Jianye's behavior just now.
When Han Jianye came out, he took out a pair of unopened boxer briefs and said, "I bought this a size smaller than the one I bought before, but I've never worn it. You can try it on."
"No need..."
"I really haven't worn it. You're thinner than me, so it's just right for you." Han Jianye's answer was indifferent, but in Ye Bai's opinion, it was extremely embarrassing.
Ye Bai's ears turned red as he looked at the boxer briefs. He had never experienced such a thing before. Besides, Han Jianye...how would he know what size underwear he was wearing?
Anyway, the whole night, from taking a shower to going to bed, Ye Bai's mind was empty. He looked at his pajamas, which were one size larger than his own, and fell into deep thought, thinking that he was too soft-hearted and should have been more firm in his attitude.
