When Gu Fan returned to his dorm room, his roommates' lights were still on.
Lin Jie and Liu Qian were both in the dormitory, and the sound of showering could be heard from the bathroom, presumably Huang was washing up.
Upon seeing Gu Fan return, both Lin Jie and Liu Qian clearly sensed that something was amiss.
"Hey kid, why are you smirking like that? It's practically turned into a pout!" Lin Jie looked at Gu Fan with a puzzled expression.
Gu Fan chuckled, then looked at Lin Jie and chuckled again.
Lin Jie: ? ? ?
"Oh no, oh no, oh no, Old Gu has gone mad!" Liu Qian exclaimed upon seeing this.
Lin Jie leaned closer to Gu Fan and patted him on the shoulder: "Old Gu, do you still recognize me?"
Gu Fan gave him a strange look: "Stop messing around, aren't you my son?"
Lin Jie's face darkened: "It seems he really has gone mad."
Gu Fan composed himself, glanced at the two of them, and then smiled, "If nothing unexpected happens, I should be... out of the single life."
Lin Jie: ? ? ?
Liu Qian: ? ? ?
The two of them looked completely bewildered.
"What is it? Tell me in detail!" Lin Jie asked with a gossipy look on his face.
Gu Fan then gave a brief account of what had happened that evening.
Upon hearing this, Lin Jie and Liu Qian's expressions immediately became quite interesting.
"Holy crap! I can't accept this!" Liu Qian yelled, his face fully displaying the image of a jealous person.
"What?! This progress is just unbelievable!" Lin Jie also looked like he was questioning his own existence.
Gu Fan said modestly, "There's nothing I can do about it; perhaps that's where its charm lies."
Both of them rolled their eyes.
"You're really something! You haven't even confessed yet, and she's already kissed you. Is this what they call 'giving away your feelings for free'? You've been hiding it well, Lao Gu!" Lin Jie exclaimed in amazement.
"I was actually prepared to confess my feelings, but she beat me to it," Gu Fan said with a smile.
"So, now that you've found such a cute junior, when are you planning to treat us to a meal?" Liu Qian interjected.
"Okay, okay, I'll treat you to a meal sometime." Gu Fan readily agreed.
Just then, Senior Huang came out of the bathroom and saw the three of them chatting happily, so he asked, "What are you talking about? You seem to be having a lot of fun."
"Old Gu is no longer single!" Lin Jie and Liu Qian shouted in unison.
"Really?" Senior Huang was clearly surprised as well.
"It's true!" Gu Fan scratched his head a little embarrassedly.
"That's something to congratulate you on," Senior Huang nodded.
"Hey, you guys are all in relationships now, it makes me want to date too," Lin Jie sighed.
Liu Qian joked, "If you wanted Old Gu's looks, wouldn't plenty of beautiful women be offering themselves to you?"
Lin Jie curled his lip: "I don't rely on my looks, I rely on my connections."
As he was saying this, he ran off to dig up information about beautiful women.
Gu Fan ignored him; he hadn't even taken a shower yet.
After washing up, Gu Fan lay on the bed and chatted with Jiang Yumeng.
There was still an unspoken awkwardness between the two, but they understood each other implicitly, and their conversations became more ambiguous and intimate than before.
It was finally 11:30 when the two said goodnight to each other and ended their chat.
The next morning, Gu Fan opened his eyes.
For some reason, he slept very well that night.
Suddenly remembering something, he paused for a moment, as fragmented memories of last night flooded his mind.
He smiled, a slight upturn to his lips.
I have a girlfriend.
I turned to look at the others and found that they were still sleeping.
Gu Fan quietly got out of bed to wash up, and then left the dormitory.
Although something good happened last night, I still have to go to work.
Gu Fan bought a loaf of bread and ate it all the way to the flower shop, then resumed his work life.
When Gu Fan arrived at the shop, he saw Li Qiuxiang arranging bouquets and greeted her.
"Good morning, Sister Qiuxiang. Why are you up so early today?"
Li Qiuxiang looked up at him, then suddenly smiled and said, "Good morning! You seem to be in a good mood today, your mouth is practically stretched to your ears."
Gu Fan smiled but didn't say anything. He went to his work station and started working.
After Li Qiuxiang finished her work, she walked up to Gu Fan and stared at him for a long time.
"Sister Qiuxiang, the way you're looking at me is giving me the creeps!" Gu Fan's lips twitched slightly.
"Something's not right, something's really not right. You're acting strangely today, kid," Li Qiuxiang said with a peculiar expression.
Gu Fan was taken aback, then said somewhat shyly, "Is it... really that obvious?"
Li Qiuxiang nodded, then asked gossipily, "Tell me quickly, what good news is there?"
Gu Fan smiled and didn't hide it, saying, "Um... I'm in a relationship."
"Huh?" Li Qiuxiang was stunned; she was caught off guard by the answer.
"You're in a relationship? You mean?"
Gu Fan nodded: "Yes, we're officially together now."
Li Qiuxiang: ...
Like Gu Fan's roommate, she fell into deep thought. Then, Li Qiuxiang suddenly exclaimed, "My God! Is this true? When did this happen?"
Gu Fan is actually no longer single! This is huge news!
Gu Fan then gave a brief account of what happened last night.
"Tsk tsk, what good fortune! To have a girl come to you willingly." Li Qiuxiang clicked her tongue in admiration.
Gu Fan rubbed his forehead: "Actually, I was planning to confess my feelings too."
Li Qiuxiang's eyes lit up: "Confess? Great! It's not too late to confess now!"
Gu Fan was taken aback, then began to ponder.
Li Qiuxiang suddenly patted his shoulder: "The florist just got a new batch of flowers, plus some candles, how about a romantic confession for her? Do you want me to help you?"
Gu Fan was somewhat tempted, but he felt that simply having flowers and candles wasn't quite enough.

At noon, Jiang Yumeng called and invited Gu Fan to lunch.
Gu Fan readily agreed, and thus declined Li Qiuxiang's invitation.
"Alright, alright, you've forgotten about your older sister now that you have a girlfriend," Li Qiuxiang teased before leaving.
At noon, Jiang Yumeng arrived at the flower shop as scheduled. Today she was wearing a JK uniform with a bow tied around her white neck. Her black hair was loose and flowing down her back. Her delicate features were lightly made up. What was even more eye-catching was her pair of beautiful legs, which looked like they belonged in a comic book. Without the embellishment of stockings, they were exposed to the air and were extremely alluring.
After they met, they smiled at each other, as if they were on the same wavelength.
A moment later, Gu Fan took her to a restaurant. They ate and chatted, and the atmosphere was very harmonious.
After dinner, Gu Fan and Jiang Yumeng took a walk together to aid digestion.
As they walked, Jiang Yumeng suddenly stopped, looked into Gu Fan's eyes, and whispered, "Senior, may I... hold your hand?"
Gu Fan's heart stirred. He took Jiang Yumeng's hand and said seriously, "I should take the initiative in this kind of thing."
