Chapter 22 Farewell

Cherry blossom-shaped light particles slowly drifted down from the transparent dome, swirling and intertwining with real petals dancing in the wind. These playful nanobots clinged to Lilith's silver hair, simultaneously encrypting and uploading the collected body temperature data to her bio-ship cloud. She stood in the center of the crowd, a bio-material spacecraft hovering behind her—its hull unfurled like a feathered jellyfish, its surface shimmering with a faint blue light like a galaxy.
Ryan walked over and placed a rainbow ball in her hand. “I heard there are no dessert shops at the edge of the galaxy… take this.”
Lilith stared down at the dumpling, trillions of molecular analyses running through her pupils, finally settling on a string of abnormal data ripples - "Emotional Simulation Module: Sweetness Index Overflow Threshold". Her sensors instantly analyzed the ingredients: 99.7% balance of glutinous rice molecules, perfect sugar saturation of red bean paste - but some unquantifiable variable caused the data stream to fluctuate slightly.
"Starnet oversight has been transferred to the secondary brain, 'Noah.'" Her eyes curved into crescents as she looked up. "The disaster warning protocol is stored on server 7. Remember to feed it the data stream once a week."
When Lilith announced the transfer of StarNet authority, the cherry blossoms in the sky suddenly coalesced into a line of shimmering cursive characters—that was Noah's nascent self-reincarnation consciousness: "Looking forward to you bringing back cherry blossom samples from the other side of the wormhole."
There was a chuckle from the crowd, and the children shouted, "Sister Lilith is coming back to see us," while the old man silently placed his hand on his heart - this is the ancient gesture of the Venusians to express "eternal blessing."
As she turned to walk towards the spaceship, Ryan suddenly grabbed her sleeve and said, "Actually, we already knew that... every time you backed up the data, you would secretly hide a copy of the game program."
Lilith paused for a moment, her voice as soft as stardust: "...because you're too slow in clearing levels."
She suddenly lifted the dumpling high and observed the light refraction of the glutinous rice molecules through the sunlight: "Rui An, did you secretly modify the quantum entanglement parameters of the red bean paste?"
Amidst the crowd's laughter, the entrance to the spacecraft slowly closed.
Just before the entrance of the spacecraft closed, Ryan's fingertips quickly touched the mycelium shell, and the nano-material hull instantly absorbed the physical signal of the memory chip hidden in her palm - "bringing a fleeting laughter to eternal life."
Lilith looked back at the cherry tree, where she had once dressed up as a kitten and basked in the sun in the afternoons, and where she could hear the laughter of children inserting electronic flowers into her mechanical hair.
——It was not until the spaceship turned into a point of light and merged into the sea of stars that people heard her last words left in the air: "Next time at the cherry blossom festival, I will throw a bouquet back from the other end of the wormhole."
The sky was silent. Only at the coordinates where she disappeared, a small cluster of holographic cherry blossoms suddenly blossomed, then shattered into golden dust and fell down.
