Chapter 5 Inflation 4

Su Han was just about to walk to a secluded corner when a drunk man came up to her and bumped into her hard.

The drunk man sat down on the ground, his eyes half-drunk, seemingly confused as to what was going on.

Su Han's expression became serious. "Stop pretending and hand over the stolen things."

The supplies in the portable warehouse were intact, but the backpack suddenly became lighter. It was obvious that there was something wrong with the guy in front of him.

The drunk man acted as if he didn't hear anything and continued to act crazy.

"Do you believe me? I'll throw you into the river to wake you up?" Su Han said with a cold look on his face.

Drunk: "..."

Oh my god! She looks like a quiet girl, but why does she speak so fiercely?

His eyes regained clarity and he asked helplessly, "How did you find out?"

"The backpack is much lighter, so the stolen items should be the steel balls." Su Han said calmly, "If something else was taken, I might not be able to notice it."

The drunk was filled with grief and indignation. What a damn luck! He pulled out a bag of opened steel balls from his pocket and threw it back to the owner. "Here."

Su Han took it and asked curiously, "Aren't you afraid that I will beat you up?"

This guy got caught stealing and he doesn't care?

The drunk sneered, "How tiring is it to beat someone up? No one can eat enough, so let's not waste our energy." Anyway, he is not doing well, and those who are barefoot are not afraid of those who wear shoes.

Su Han weighed the steel ball and asked suddenly, "Player?" The stealing method was too mysterious, she suspected it was a natural skill.

The drunk paused, raised his head, and asked seriously, "Anything to drink?"

"What do you mean?" Su Han was puzzled.

"If you have drinks, I'm just a player and can chat with you. If you don't have drinks, you can leave." The drunk said lazily.

Su Han thought, isn't this a disguised way of admitting that she is a player? If she doesn't have anything to drink, she won't bother with her.

After thinking for a while, she took out a bottle of milk and shook it in front of the drunk. "Answer well, and it's yours."

The drunk's eyes lit up and he was overjoyed, "I didn't expect you to be doing so well!" The fact that he could easily take out milk showed that he had no worries about food and clothing.

"Shut up." Su Han was worried that there was an NPC following him, so he lowered his voice deliberately and spoke quickly and urgently, "Let's find a convenient place to talk. Follow me."

The drunk man showed a nonchalant expression, but he was drooling over the milk and couldn't help but follow.

Turning left and right, Su Han finally got rid of the guys following him. He finally had time to look at the drunk. He smelled of alcohol, his hair was messy, his cheeks were red, and his eyes were swollen. He looked like he was having a bad time. "Tell me, what do you know?"

The drunk held out his hand and demanded, "Pay the bill first."

Su Han casually threw the milk over. But then, she took out another bottle and said casually, "Good answer, this bottle is yours too."

The drunk's face flushed, and he was obviously very excited. He immediately told everything he knew, "My name is Wei Minzhe, a professional thief. As long as I touch the target, I have a 30% chance of stealing something."

"Are you worried that the natives will hear us talking? Actually, there's no need to worry. I've tried it before, and the system will automatically block us if we say the word 'player'. Even if we talk loudly about the game content, if the NPC hears us, they will just think we are talking nonsense."

"And my talent skill, which allows me to steal things just by touching them, sounds really weird, doesn't it? But the NPCs didn't think it was strange when their things were stolen. Instead, they thought it was normal. I think the system should have handled it specially and rationalized it."

So that's it. Su Han looked thoughtful. Then she glanced at the drunk, wondering, "Why is he in such a miserable state?"

Even if you exchanged all 100 points for food and daily necessities, you wouldn't end up like this.

"Don't mention it." Wei Minzhe complained bitterly, "I was screwed by the system!"

"What's the meaning?"

"After reading the character's attributes, do you think you can survive as long as you stock up on enough food and daily necessities?"

"Anyway, food can improve satiety, and daily necessities can improve cleanliness, so it doesn't matter which one I use?"

"Mineral water is useless in the game, why not exchange it for other supplies?"

Wei Minzhe chuckled, then said with a wooden face, "If you have the above thoughts, you are not far from being cheated."

Su Han remained calm, "What do you mean?"

"Mineral water can only slightly increase hunger, but if you drink less than 500ml a day, you will experience dehydration symptoms the next day and lose stamina. But later I found that it doesn't have to be mineral water. Coke, milk, and wine can all be used instead. To be precise, the daily water intake should not be less than 500ml."

"Using a towel and toothbrush can indeed improve cleanliness, but if you haven't used soap or shower gel for 72 hours, the probability of 'infection' will increase dramatically."

"Similarly, eating chocolate and candy can increase satiety, but you must eat staple food within 72 hours. Rice or flour will do. I haven't tried this, so I don't know what negative effects will appear, but I know some players who have failed."

Wei Minzhe spoke slowly, his tone was particularly vicissitudes. After all, these were lessons learned through blood, most of which he had experienced personally.

Su Han couldn't empathize with the situation, but he inexplicably thought of the great value gift package.

The gift package contained soap, mineral water (water resources), meat floss and butter bread (staple food), and medical bandages (medical supplies), all of which were necessities. Now that I think about it, it turns out that the system had already given me a hint!

Because the types of supplies that can be stored in the portable warehouse are limited (ten slots), she stocked up according to the configuration of the gift pack. Unexpectedly, she accidentally did the right thing.

"How come you don't know anything?" Wei Minzhe was very puzzled. "I've been in the game for 7 days. Don't you have any negative status?"

Su Han shook his head, and then said, "I'm at the noodle shop, eating noodles and soup together, and I usually buy soap."

Wei Minzhe was speechless. Noodles were the staple food, soup was considered water resources, and soap was also available. This guy had everything he needed, so of course he couldn't understand the hardships of the lower class people!

Su Han asked back, "You didn't buy the portable warehouse and the super value gift pack?"

Wei Minzhe was embarrassed. "I exchanged all my points for currency and got a total of 10,000 shells. But when I entered the game, I found that although I bought a lot of things, it was not convenient to carry them. And I stockpiled the wrong things..."

"Recently, I can only drink alcohol to get water, but I don't like drinking alcohol. What's worse is that after drinking a certain amount, I will feel 'drunk' or even 'alcohol poisoning'."

"It just so happens that things in the supermarket are sold out very quickly. It's hard to get mineral water, drinks and other products now."

Su Han was puzzled, "Have you ever thought about boiling some water to drink?"

Wei Minzhe suddenly froze.

Su Han continued, "I stocked up on mineral water because I was worried about the water and power outages in the future, so I was prepared in advance. Why don't you boil some water? Fill some tap water, boil it, and you can drink it, right?"

This is how noodle soup is cooked.

Wei Minzhe looked down at himself, and was immediately filled with grief and indignation. He thought he was rich, so he only thought about shopping, and never thought about doing it himself...

God knows that drinking too much will not only reduce your physical strength, but also accelerate the consumption of cleanliness!

In an instant, Wei Minzhe lost all his strength and felt like a fool for ruining a good hand.

"What else do you know?" Su Han changed the subject and continued to ask. In fact, she was already very satisfied, and she asked this deliberately, just to try and see if she could squeeze out something more.

Wei Minzhe said listlessly, "Due to the wave of unemployment, many people can't afford to eat, and theft and robbery happen from time to time. It's okay now, they only rob items and don't hurt people, but it's hard to say what will happen in the future."

"People desperately took out valuable things from their homes to exchange, and finally they were able to get something to eat. But what happens after that? There's probably nothing they won't do to survive."

"Department stores refill their shelves at 6 o'clock every day, but some people line up at 4 or 5 o'clock, so it's hard to grab anything. Before 7 o'clock in the morning, the supermarket shelves will be cleared out."

"As far as I know, some families with limited financial resources have gone to the vegetable market to pick up discarded rotten leaves. Some have also gone fishing and catching birds in an attempt to improve their diet."

"I don't know the rest."

"Thank you." Su Han threw the milk to Wei Minzhe and left in a leisurely manner.

Wei Minzhe couldn't help but smile bitterly. Knowing that he could boil water for himself, it didn't really matter whether he took the milk or not.

**

At 1:30 in the afternoon, several people were fishing by the lake in Four Seasons Park.

Suddenly, one of them showed a look of joy and shouted excitedly, "It's hooked! There's a fish!" Then he quickly reeled in the line.

When I pulled it up, I saw that it was indeed a big fat fish.

The man was grinning from ear to ear and deliberately chatted with the old man next to him, "Old man He, how are you doing? How many fish did you catch?"

In fact, he was sitting next to him and knew very well that his friend's record was zero.

In an attempt to cover up the fact that he was not good at fishing, Old Man He groaned, "Ding, what a joke! You scared the fish away!"

Old Man Ding curled his lips and said, "If you can't catch it yourself, then don't blame others, okay?"

Old Man He was furious.

Old Man Ding continued, "Hey, you said you don't know how to fish, so why do you keep two fishing rods? Wouldn't it be better to give the fishing rods to other people in need?"

"I'm happy with it!" Old Man He stuck his neck out, very stubborn. But in fact, he felt a little uneasy. It had been three days, and everyone else had gained something, but he hadn't gotten anything.

The rice at home is almost gone. If we don’t do something, our family will starve! He is old and it doesn’t matter. It’s just a matter of living a few more days or a few less days. But it’s different for his granddaughter. She is still a child!

Thinking of this, Old Man He couldn't stop worrying.

At this moment, a clear and pleasant female voice sounded, "Excuse me, who owns this fishing rod? Does it have an owner?"

"Not for sale!" Old man He was very annoyed.

"Can we rent it?" the female voice continued to ask.

Rent? Old He looked up in surprise and found that it was a short-haired girl who was talking. She looked very neat.

The person who came was Su Han.

"How do you rent it?" Old Man He said with relief, because he really had no confidence in his fishing ability.

"Lend me your fishing rod for four hours, and we'll split the fish we catch equally." Su Han smiled confidently.

Old Man He was about to say what to do if he didn't catch anything, but he swallowed the words back. He had been leaving the fishing rod next to him all day and had no catch. The situation couldn't get any worse...

"Okay then, just sit next to me and fish." Old Man He thought to himself, there is nothing to worry about, there is nothing to lose anyway.

System (with proud chest): Produced by the system, the configuration is of course the most correct!

Nutritionist: Milk (water resource) + brown bread (staple food) fully meet the system requirements, otherwise how can it be called nutrition, nourishment, learning, and home!
