After having dinner with Ling Yiyi, Huang Yanyan's car was already parked in front of the restaurant. Now, the location sharing function on my phone is connected to her and Chu Zhen. She said that she was running errands nearby and just stopped by to see if I was here and if the location sharing function was working.
"Ling Yiyi said that Amy is in close contact with an old man, and I guess that person is Li Guoqiang."
"Lin Dang, don't worry, with me, Huang Yanyan, here, I can guarantee your safety. Wherever you want to go next, I'll take you."
"Let's go to the market and buy some groceries. Chu Zhen has been working too hard lately and doesn't eat much. If it weren't for me eating a lot every day, Auntie would almost doubt her cooking skills."
"Oh, looks like you're planning to show off your skills tonight. Can I freeload off you?" Huang Yanyan asked with a fawning smile.
"Sure, but you'll have to be my assistant."
"Then I'll invite Chen Weiqi over too. It's been a long time since the four of us had a meal together!"
I didn't refuse. Although Chu Zhen and I weren't married yet, my pregnant belly was the best testament to our relationship. Only someone who deeply loves another would have a child for them, and Chen Weiqi should understand that.
I originally just wanted to have a simple meal with Chu Zhen, but now it's turned into a dinner for four, so I bought more groceries. Huang Yanyan picked out all of Chu Zhen's specialties. She often comes to my house to eat because of Chu Zhen's cooking skills, so it looks like Chu Zhen will be in charge of cooking tonight.
After Huang Yanyan and I got home, we started washing, chopping and preparing the vegetables so that Chu Zhen could cook as soon as he got back. It was really a bit of a challenge for Huang Yanyan to do these chores with me in the kitchen given her current status, but she was happy to do so. She said that she could only be her truest self when she was with me.
