The next morning, Xiao Jian got out of bed very early.

"So early... what are you doing up here?" Li Muqing asked, rubbing her sleepy eyes.

"I'll cook for you!" Xiao Jian said with a smile as he quietly put on his coat.

"Oh..." Li Muqing turned over and continued to sleep.

Xiao Jian walked out of the room, slowly closed the door, and then went to the kitchen to start preparing breakfast.

When Li Muqing opened her eyes again, she found Xiao Jian squatting next to her, watching her.

"What? Haven't you ever seen a handsome guy before?" Li Muqing pushed Xiao Jian's forehead.

Xiao Jian grabbed Li Muqing's hand and said with a smile, "Haha, yes, handsome, it's time to get up and have breakfast."

Li Muqing looked out the window and asked, "What time is it?"

"It's almost nine o'clock," Xiao Jian replied truthfully.

Li Muqing stretched, sat up, got dressed, and went to wash up. At this moment, Xiao Jian walked to his mother's room, knocked on the door, and said, "Mom, get up and have breakfast."

Xiao Jian's mother opened the door and said with a smile, "You're already up. Did you find your classmate last night?"

Xiao Jian suddenly remembered that he hadn't told his mother yet, so he quickly thought for a moment and said, "Ah...ah, I found him. He...he couldn't get a train ticket, so he came back. And his family called to say...it's all fine now, so he's staying here for a couple of days."

"Good, good, good. I was just worried that you were too introverted and wouldn't make many friends, and that city people would bully us country folk. Now that I see you have such friends, I'm so happy for you. Has your classmate gotten up yet? Don't let him go hungry," Xiao Jian's mother said with great satisfaction.

"Yes, he's washing up." Hearing that his mother was quite concerned about Li Muqing, Xiao Jian felt a warm glow in his heart and felt extremely comfortable.

After washing up, Li Muqing walked from the yard into the house and saw Xiao Jian's mother. She greeted her somewhat awkwardly, "Auntie, good morning."

"Good morning, good morning," Xiao Jian's mother greeted him warmly. "Sit down and have breakfast. The porridge won't taste good if it gets cold."

The three of them sat around a small wooden table and finished their breakfast. Xiao Jian's mother changed into her coat and said, "I'm going to the market to buy some supplements for your Aunt Zhang. I'll be back in a bit. Take good care of your classmate!"

Xiao Jian nodded: "Okay, be careful on the road!"

After Xiao Jian's mother left, Li Muqing stared at Xiao Jian with wide eyes and asked, "What...can we play now?"

Xiao Jian said, "I originally planned to take you to play in the fields. The fields are so much fun at this time of year. You can catch frogs and rabbits. But your health might be..." Xiao Jian scratched his head a little embarrassedly. Seeing that Li Muqing's face was also slightly red, he smiled and said, "So, let's just do something at home."

"What can we play at home?" Li Muqing asked quickly, trying to change the subject.

"Hmm... I'll teach you how to make pancakes!" Xiao Jian suddenly thought.

"Oh? Okay, I'll reluctantly learn it." Li Muqing nodded.

Xiao Jian led Li Muqing to his kitchen, prepared all the ingredients, and then began to teach Li Muqing how to make pancakes.

Xiao Jian taught her everything carefully, from kneading the dough to making the toppings. Li Muqing listened attentively. In addition, Li Muqing knew how to cook some home-style dishes, so she was quite proficient in the basic operations in the kitchen. Before long, she had kneaded the dough.

"Is this all?" Li Muqing turned her head and asked Xiao Jian, who was making the seasonings.

Xiao Jian turned around and looked at her, then smiled and said, "You have to knead the dough like this to make it chewy." After saying that, Xiao Jian hugged Li Muqing from behind, and together they began to knead the dough.

Li Muqing's face suddenly turned red. While stirring the noodles, he scolded himself for being so useless. He had seen all kinds of men, yet he was still shy. Li Muqing thought that maybe this time, he had really fallen into Xiao Jian's hands.

While explaining the details of kneading dough to Li Muqing, Xiao Jian hugged her and kneaded the dough together. The two stood close together, their intimate moment undeniably intimate. After Xiao Jian finished explaining, he realized that he was still holding Li Muqing. He wanted to let go quickly, but when he thought that they were now lovers, he not only didn't let go, but hugged her even tighter.

"Li...Li Muqing, how come your waist is so thin?" Xiao Jian asked somewhat blankly.

After hearing this, Li Muqing closed her eyes and stomped on the ground.

"Ouch!" Xiao Jian quickly let go, clutching his foot and saying, "It hurts so much..."

Li Muqing looked down at Xiao Jian and said, "Trying to take advantage of me? No way!"

Xiao Jian, having suffered a setback, turned around listlessly and, enduring the pain, continued making his seasonings. Li Muqing smiled smugly and continued kneading the dough.

With everything ready, Xiao Jian said, "Now it's time for the formal production phase."

Li Muqing held a special tool for making pancakes in her right hand, and in her left hand, she scooped up a spoonful of thick batter made from flour and eggs, poured it onto a round pan, and began to make pancakes.

Upon seeing this, Xiao Jian quickly walked behind Li Muqing and, in the same manner as if hugging him, grasped his right hand and said, "It should be like drawing a circle, rotating counterclockwise so that the dough is even and the pancake is less likely to break."

Xiao Jian verbally explained the preparation method to Li Muqing while teaching him step by step. In no time, a pancake was ready.

"How about that? It's not too difficult, is it? The key is practice. Once you get the hang of it, you'll definitely be able to make it taste great too!" Xiao Jian said confidently.

In his moment of triumph, Xiao Jian realized that his face was very close to Li Muqing's. Li Muqing knew what Xiao Jian was going to do, so she raised her foot again and stomped down.

Unfortunately, Xiao Jian was smart this time and dodged Li Muqing's attack. He grabbed Li Muqing and said, "I've worked so hard to teach you, how could you treat me like this?"

Just as Li Muqing was about to say something, Xiao Jian's mother returned.

Xiao Jian let go of her hand and walked out of the kitchen with Li Muqing.

"Son, look who's here!!" Xiao Jian's mother said excitedly as soon as she entered the door.

Xiao Jian and Li Muqing turned their heads and saw that the person standing behind Xiao Jian's mother was none other than Wang Ting.

“I just went to deliver food to Aunt Zhang, and I didn’t expect to run into her, so…” Wang Ting seemed to want to explain something, but was interrupted by Xiao Jian’s mother: “Wang Ting is such a thoughtful child. She treats Aunt Zhang like family. I saw that she hadn’t had lunch yet, so I brought her over. I’ll go make some food now, and after it’s done, I’ll call your Aunt Zhang over so we can all have a good meal together.” After Xiao Jian’s mother finished speaking, she quickly went into the kitchen.

Inside the room, only Xiao Jian, Li Muqing, and Wang Ting remained.
