Chapter 32: Thirty-Second Night

Chapter 32: Thirty-Second Night

"So your guess is that there is a ghost controlling all this?"

Qiu Tingxu asked.

Han Yun nodded, but saw that Qiu Tingxu's smile became more and more obvious, and there was an inexplicable sarcasm in it.

So he glared at her, "What are you laughing at, you little classmate, you have no respect for your elders at all!"

Qiu Tingxu smiled so hard that his teeth were shining. "What do you mean by elder or not? You are our good brother now. Good brothers on the same boat, you know? We don't use the old saying of elder or junior."

As soon as he said this, "good brother", Xu Yansheng raised his eyes to look at the two of them, then lowered his eyelids and returned to indifference.

Han Yun: "...You are really good at taking advantage of others. It's fine if you let me treat you all day long, but now I am not even your elder, right?"

"You won't suffer any loss if I call you brother, right?"

Qiu Tingxu readily accepted the advice: "No loss, no loss, brother! Brother Han! It is our honor to be your younger brother! So can you not charge us for the treatment in the future?"

Han Yun raised his middle finger and said, "You wish."

"Little ghost, so what were you laughing at just now?"

Qiu Tingxu put away his overly white teeth and said, "I was just laughing at this ghost. It's quite strange that it only attacks Xu Yansheng once every seven days."

"And as long as he bleeds, it doesn't matter if he dies or not."

"So does this ghost want to kill Xu Yansheng?"

Han Yun was silent. This was indeed a problem, and it was confusing.

"Maybe this ghost has some mental illness?"

Qiu Tingxu: "If a ghost heard what you said, they would want to get up and beat you up."

He looked at the silent Xu Yansheng, raised his eyebrows and said, "Xu Yansheng, we are discussing a matter of life and death, and it is about you. If you can speak, please squeak more."

Xu Yansheng finally shook his head, and with his slender hands he pulled the messy hair back from his forehead along the top of his head.

Most of his hair was long and neatly combed back, but there were a lot of short strands that were disobedient and stuck back, making his widow's peak look fluffy.

"Not... a ghost."

This directly refuted Han Yun's guess. Han Yun asked him, "Why are you so sure?"

Xu Yansheng pointed at his eyes, which seemed to contain a deep ocean, deep and dark.

"These two... yin-yang eyes."

Han Yun: “……?”

Qiu Tingxu: “……?”

Qiu Tingxu laughed and also grabbed a handful of hair. His hair was originally short, and it looked even more frizzy when he grabbed a handful of hair.

"Good man, how many surprises do you have that I don't know about?"

Xu Yansheng shook his head again: "No...surprise."

Qiu Tingxu suddenly leaned over and listened carefully for several seconds, then exclaimed, "Oh my god, Xu Yansheng, you are as quiet as your mouth. How come I only heard one sentence?"

Han Yun was confused: "What do you mean you only heard one sentence?"

"No, don't you think the current situation is a little strange? Even the Yin-Yang Eyes have appeared!"

Qiu Tingxu said indifferently: "Glass will fly into people's hands by itself, bookshelves will fall down and crush people by themselves, book pages will cut their wrists by themselves, and steel rulers will tease people..."

He paused for a moment, then continued, "Do you think it's strange for a person to have a pair of yin-yang eyes?"

Han Yun really thought about it for a while, then nodded in agreement: "It's not surprising when you put it that way."

Qiu Tingxu turned his head away and smiled secretly. His action was not very covert and he was not afraid of being discovered at all.

Han Yun saw it at a glance: "Qiu Xiaogui, what are you laughing at again?"

Qiu Tingxu tried to control his facial expression, but failed. "Haha, ah, I'm laughing at how Brother Han was persuaded so easily."

Han Yun was stunned for a moment, pursed his lips and looked a little unhappy.

"You guys are so annoying! You can't help but believe me, but if I do, you'll laugh at me for being soft-hearted!"

This anger came out of nowhere, and Qiu Tingxu thought that he had been laughing and not being serious, which really made Han Yun angry.

He stopped laughing and apologized: "I'm sorry, Brother Han, I can't hide my smile in front of acquaintances. If you don't like it, you can just tell me and I will try my best to control it."

Han Yun glared again: "Your apology is not sincere at all, you might as well not say anything!"

Qiu Tingxu immediately rode his donkey down the hill: "So you are not angry anymore? Great!"

Han Yun: "...It's really unlucky to know you."

Qiu Tingxu patted his shoulder and said, "Okay, okay, Brother Han, I'll treat you to a big meal later. Don't be angry anymore."

Han Yun slapped his hand away and hummed: "Hmph."

Qiu Tingxu raised his hand and looked at his slightly red skin, pretending to be pitiful: "Ah~ These days, if you try to please someone, you'll get beaten. I'm so pitiful~"

Han Yun almost got goosebumps from his pretentious tone and rolled his eyes in annoyance.

"Qiu Xiaogui, can you be a little less dramatic? We are still discussing business!"

Qiu Tingxu waved his hands pretentiously and curled his lips: "Okay, okay, I won't act anymore."

After that, he looked at Xu Yansheng again, his eyes sparkling with gossip: "Xu Yansheng, have you seen a lot of ghosts?"

Xu Yansheng's eyes passed over Qiu Tingxu's arm obscurely, "Yeah."

Qiu Tingxu became even more excited: "Tell me what a ghost looks like. Is it as scary as in the TV series?"

Xu Yansheng: "...all kinds of weird."

Qiu Tingxu was stunned: "Ah, your answer seems to say everything, but also seems to say nothing..."

Xu Yansheng didn't care about his disappointment and just hummed coldly.

Han Yun really couldn't stand this person changing the subject anymore, "I beg you to stop talking, can I ask?"

Qiu Tingxu looked at him pitifully, but Han Yun still tried hard to keep a straight face and not look at him.

So he could only exaggeratedly point his finger at Xu Yansheng, eyebrows flying, and said, "Okay, please!"

Han Yun was almost amused by him, and he put his fist to his lips to maintain his serious expression.

"Hey, Xu Yansheng, you mean you didn't see a ghost, you just saw the steel ruler flying out of thin air, right?"

Xu Yansheng answered questions like a robot.

"Um."

Han Yun: "The first two times were the same?"

Xu Yansheng: "Yeah."

Han Yun was puzzled: "...Does your Yin-Yang Eyes occasionally fail to work?"

Xu Yansheng told the truth: "...I don't know."
