Chapter 33: The Dancer

A nightmare existence.

But, he is his father.

The dancer ran away in fear like a thief.

Escape to another city overnight.

A place where no one knows me.

She wanted to cut her wrists, but when she thought of the baby in her belly, she gave up because of the pain.

The viewing room was silent, and a depressing atmosphere lingered.

The handling of this plot is actually a bit stiff and melodramatic, but the picture is still stable and full of Chu Wen's unique camera language.

Chu Wen's camera language is very contrasting.

For example, when the plot of the film is light and cheerful, the boy thinks about it all night and is ready to take her home. When they are both laughing along the way, it is pouring rain outside the car window.

And when the dancer escaped and left the city, the sun was shining brightly and the clouds were rolling.

Very divided.

But more shocking.

From the audience's perspective, it is really depressing, as if a huge stone is pressing on their hearts, heavy and suffocating.

Crying is not sentimental enough, and I can’t cry.

laugh?

joke?

Can you laugh at this?

In short, it is just like an unhappy life, full of negative energy.

I glanced at the progress bar. The film was only thirty minutes in, and about a third of the way through when whispers began to be heard in the back row.

"I'm a little afraid to watch it anymore. It seems like a horror movie."

"I was a little bit fuzzy too, like, yeah, I don't know how to put it, I've never seen this type of movie before."

"It's very realistic, the details are very accurate, the female lead's acting is good, and she's also very pitiful."

"Shh...keep your voice down, Mr. Lu is looking back at us."

The plot of the film progresses continuously and it is more like a documentary of the real life of a dancer, but it is full of ups and downs, highs and lows.

Whenever the dancer encounters a little sunshine in her life and sees a little possibility of happiness, the director will mercilessly send her to hell.

Sometimes it was because of her original sin.

Sometimes it's her own choice.

Sometimes it's just a trick of fate.

Sometimes it is the ugliness of human heart.

The heart of the viewer is in a state of tension at all times, emotions are completely controlled, and there are mixed feelings.

In this atmosphere...

The whole film is ninety-five minutes long and ends completely.

As the background music started, everyone, including Lu Hao, was still sitting in their chairs, unable to get up.

It feels like the body has been hollowed out.
