Chapter 180 Mirrors, All Mirrors

The sudden sound startled Nan Yuanman. She turned around abruptly and saw Wei Junchen holding a spatula standing behind her at some point.

A gentle smile, tinged with a hint of helplessness, graced his handsome, rugged face, as if he were looking at a mischievous child: "You can't go in here, okay? I'm resting inside. You'll scare me."

Nan Yuanman blinked and apologized obediently, "I'm sorry, Uncle, I really needed to pee and was looking for a restroom, but I accidentally came here..."

"Uncle will take you to the restroom." Wei Junchen said, taking Nan Yuanman's hand and leading her to the restroom in the living room.

Feng Jingcheng and the other two stood at the door. Xie Yifei was shocked and pointed at Wei Junchen, wanting to say something, but Xiao Qidong covered his mouth.

Feng Jingcheng feigned a calm and helpless expression, suppressing his inner shock and teasing, "No way, Lao Wei, you keep such a close eye on your wife?"

After escorting Nan Yuanman into the restroom, Wei Junchen turned around and smiled shyly, saying, "I have no choice. If I don't keep a close eye on her, what will I do if my wife leaves me? I searched for a long time before finding someone so compatible."

"Let's continue cooking, my wife is probably hungry too."

As Wei Junchen spoke, he casually returned to the kitchen to continue cooking. Feng Jingcheng tensed up for a moment, then continued washing the scallions as if nothing had happened. Xie Yifei and Xiao Qidong, however, did not have such strong willpower and subconsciously took several steps back, keeping a distance from Wei Junchen.

Wei Junchen looked at them with confusion and bewilderment: "What's wrong?"

Xiao Qidong gave an awkward dry laugh: "It's nothing, it's nothing."

Xie Yifei also revealed a simple smile.

After Wei Junchen turned around to cook, he gestured excitedly towards Xiao Qidong and whispered, "Old Xiao! Did you see that just now? He suddenly disappeared in a flash!"

He looked just like a ghost! But he was certain that Wei Junchen was definitely not a ghost!

He just touched him! His hand was warm!

But he's not a ghost, so how could he just vanish in an instant?

Xiao Qidong grabbed his hand, quickly glanced at Wei Junchen, and warned in a low voice, "I'm not blind! You better behave yourself! Don't alert them!"

Xie Yifei took a deep breath, trying to calm himself down. He put his hands in the basin, scooped up water, and washed his face. When he looked up, he saw a mirror hanging on the cupboard above.

He couldn't help but mutter, "More mirrors. I've seen eight hundred mirrors since I entered this room."

Xie Yifei glanced at himself in the mirror and couldn't help but touch his cheek with a touch of self-admiration: "I look pretty handsome like this."

The next second, he saw his reflection in the mirror smile at his reflection outside the mirror.

Xie Yifei: "!!!"

"Holy crap!!" Xie Yifei took a step back abruptly, nearly slipping on a potato on the ground.

The three men in the kitchen all looked at him. Feng Jingcheng frowned slightly: "What's wrong?"

"The mirror, the me in the mirror..." Xie Yifei pointed at the mirror and stammered, then suddenly noticed Wei Junchen's concerned gaze. He quickly swallowed the words he was about to say and instead said, "Damn, so handsome!"

Feng Jingcheng: "..."

Xiao Qidong: "..."

Xiao Qidong's face darkened, and he gritted his teeth: "Thank you! Yi! Fei!"

Xie Yifei had a bitter pill to swallow.

Wei Junchen chuckled, looked up at himself in the mirror hanging on the cupboard, and said, "Right? I also think I'm the most handsome and manly man in the world!"

"Only my wife is good enough for me."

Nan Yuanman, who had just gone to the bathroom and was squatting at the kitchen door observing Wei Junchen, couldn't help but feel a mix of emotions when she heard his boastful words.

Adults are so narcissistic.

Feng Jingcheng couldn't help but twitch his lips.

Xiao Qidong, who often heard him boast, had become immune to it.

A meal was completed amidst the chaos of war.

While setting the table, Wei Junchen used clean bowls and plates to set aside a portion of the rice, which he then scooped into a bowl and took to the master bedroom.

Xiao Qidong extended another invitation: "Why go through all this trouble? Why not just have your sister-in-law come out and eat with us?"

Wei Junchen hesitated: "This..."

Xiao Qidong deliberately provoked him: "What? Could it be that you're hiding it so well because your sister-in-law isn't pretty? Or... do you not have a wife at all and are just pretending to be me?!"

Wei Junchen frowned, somewhat annoyed: "Old Xiao, how can you say that! My wife is the most beautiful woman in the world!"

"Then bring her out so we can see her!" Xiao Qidong continued to egg her on recklessly.

"I'll go ask her." Wei Junchen's expression was somewhat unpleasant. After saying this, he turned and went to the bedroom.

He didn't fully open the bedroom door, only leaving a crack to allow others to enter, completely blocking the curious gazes from outside.

The moment he turned to walk towards the bedroom, Nan Yuanman quickly took out a small yellow talisman in the shape of a human figure from his small satchel and threw it on the ground.

The little paper figure quickly flashed to Wei Junchen's feet and smoothly followed him into the master bedroom.

If Nan Yuanman wasn't sure there was something strange about the house before, she was caught by Wei Junchen just now when she tried to sneak into the master bedroom, even though she had put on an invisibility talisman.

She was absolutely certain that the reason Wei Junchen was behaving so strangely was in this bedroom.

After all... ordinary people don't have the ability to spot her when she's wearing an invisibility talisman.

After the little paper doll entered the bedroom, Nan Yuanman quickly made hand seals with her chubby little hands, muttered incantations, wiped her eyes with her fingertips, and then looked down at the soup bowl that Feng Jingcheng had served her.

The clear soup in the bowl rippled, gradually revealing a scene from the master bedroom.

From the perspective of the little paper figure, the first thing it sees is a mirror.

Mirrors everywhere.

The ceiling, the wardrobe, and even the walls are covered with mirrors.

These mirrors reflected a woman sitting on the luxurious European-style bed, wearing a red dress, with long hair and a graceful figure.

Wei Junchen walked forward, came up to her, hugged her, and whispered something to her.

The little paper figure was stuck to Wei Junchen's feet, only daring to show its tiny head, and didn't dare to move at all.

No sound could be heard from the screen; only the woman's profile was visible. After listening to Wei Junchen's words, she shook her head and rejected him.

Wei Junchen said a few more words, then kissed the top of her head, as if to comfort her, or perhaps to plead with her.

The woman mustered her courage, nodded, and gently pushed Wei Junchen to go out first.

Wei Junchen said one more thing before reluctantly walking towards the door, turning back every few steps.

The little paper doll refused to give up this opportunity to sneak in. Its small body peeked out from under Wei Junchen's feet and strained to look at the woman sitting on the bed.

But then the woman sitting on the bed slowly raised her head and looked in its direction, giving it a strange smile.

The next second, the little paper figure hissed and burned.
