Chapter 71 I'll call you Dog Egg!

The man she saw in her "dream" suddenly appeared in front of her, and even though Nan Yuanman was very brave, she was so frightened that her hair stood on end.

Her short, chubby body tumbled off the bamboo recliner and darted behind it, her chubby little hands gripping the back of the chair as she watched him warily.

Nanmanyuan: Staring (?_?)-

The man realized that Nan Yuanman could really see him. His eyes lit up and he was overjoyed. He subconsciously floated an inch toward her.

Nan Yuanman shrank back further in the chair and reached into his small handbag.

Upon seeing her extreme reaction, the man paused in his movement towards her, retreated awkwardly, raised his hands in a gesture of surrender, indicating that he was harmless: "Don't be afraid, I'm not a bad person."

Seeing Nan Yuanman's movements, even though she couldn't see anything, Yao Xianglu felt a chill run down her spine and froze on the spot, unable to move.

She trembled slightly, her eyes slowly drifting to the side, her voice trembling: "Little...Little Master, is there...is there something beside me?"

What she really wanted to ask was whether there were ghosts around her.

But she was afraid that if she asked, the "ghost" standing next to her would pounce on her and bite her.

Seeing the girl beside him trembling with fear, her face pale and on the verge of fainting, the man pursed his lips and silently drifted a little further away.

Nan Yuanman watched his movements and realized that this strange "ghost" was neither hostile nor threatening. Only then did her tense little body slowly relax, and she quickly comforted Yao Xianglu: "It's okay, it's okay, he's not hostile."

Yao Xianglu's legs went weak, and she almost knelt down before Nan Yuanman, her expression filled with terror as she looked at her.

In other words, there really was a ghost next to her!

Yao Xianglu tried her best to resist looking to her side, but sometimes people's curiosity is not so easy to suppress. Out of the corner of her eye, she caught a glimpse of a faint, illusory figure. It was just a coincidence; she had been having a run of bad luck lately.

Yao Xianglu: "!!!"

Her eyes rolled back, and she fainted from fright, her head hitting the ground with a thud.

Nan Yuanman and the floating man were startled. She quickly ran out from behind the chair, trying to help Yao Xianglu up from the ground.

The man instinctively reached out to help, but his hand went straight through Yao Xianglu's neck.

The man's pupils contracted sharply as he stared blankly at his hands, a bewildered expression on his face.

Is he... dead?

Nan Yuanman was too small and short to lift Yao Xianglu up from the ground immediately. He could only let her lie flat on the ground and pinch her philtrum, saying, "Sister! Don't die, sister!"

After pinching for half a minute, Yao Xianglu finally opened her eyes in a daze.

Nan Yuanman, afraid that the man would frighten her again, took out Xiao Hong, opened the coffin lid, and temporarily put him into the small coffin.

Her chubby, warm little hands gently patted Yao Xianglu's head: "Puff puff puff, don't be scared, rub your tummy, open your little shop, good baby, don't be afraid."

As Yao Xianglu slowly regained consciousness, she recalled how she had fainted from fright. Her face flushed red, and she said shyly, "...I'm sorry, I'm such a scaredy-cat. Did I scare you?"

"It's alright, it's alright." Nan Yuanman patted her head again, making the flames on her head burn a little brighter: "I've put it away, don't be afraid."

Yao Xianglu breathed a sigh of relief: "Okay."

She didn't dare to ask Nan Yuanman where she had taken the "ghost." She sat on the ground for a while to recover, then got up to cook and asked Nan Yuanman if she had any dietary restrictions.

Nan Yuanman patted her little belly: "Yuanman is not picky about food, she eats everything."

Back in Batang Village, when her grandfather first fell ill, she didn't dare leave home too far and stayed by his side. During the time she was starving, she even ate dirt.

It just doesn't taste very good, and it's quite difficult to poop.

The child had just taken a nap, and her neatly combed hair was now loose, swaying as she nodded, looking fluffy and exceptionally cute. Yao Xianglu couldn't resist giving her a pat on the head before happily going to cook.

After experiencing the "ghost" incident, Yao Xianglu was still a little scared. She turned on all the lights in the house and left the kitchen door wide open. She would occasionally look up at the short, stocky figure in the yard before she gradually calmed down.

While she was cooking, Nan Yuanman, with her back to her, released the man out of the small coffin again.

The man who had been wary of the purple zombie in the small coffin suddenly realized that his surroundings had changed, and his gaze fell on Nan Yuanman with a particularly complicated expression.

He wasn't stupid; he realized that the child was capable.

Nan Yuanman lowered her guard, her clear, black and white eyes curiously scrutinizing him, and the man remained silent, letting her look at him.

After a moment, Nan Yuanman asked, "What's your name? Where do you live?"

The man instinctively began, "My name is..."

“My name is…” His expression gradually became confused. He raised his hand and tapped his empty head, muttering, “I… I don’t remember.”

Nan Yuanman was so shocked that her mouth formed an "O" shape: "You don't even remember your own name? Then do you remember how you got here?"

The man shook his head: "I don't remember."

Nan Yuanman stared at him, and the little girl realized that she seemed to have brought back some trouble.

Nan Yuanman paused for a few seconds, and while Yao Xianglu turned around to wash the vegetables, he pulled Old Master Nan out of the small coffin and hid him behind the bamboo recliner with lightning speed.

Before Grandpa Nan could react, his little granddaughter pointed with her chubby little hand and said, "Grandpa, can you help Yuanman see when this uncle died?"

Grandpa Nan's blank mind paused for a few seconds before he slowly followed her hand and looked down, his purple eyes staring intently at the man.

The man felt as if he were being stared at by some large, ferocious beast. His cerebral cortex exploded, his muscles tensed, and he kept screaming to escape.

He glanced at Nan Yuanman, who was small and clumsy, standing next to Old Master Nan, and forcefully suppressed the urge to escape.

Grandpa Nan stared at him for a while before turning away with a look of disdain. When he looked down at Nan Yuanman, his eyes were filled with tenderness and kindness.

He opened and closed his mouth, trying to speak: "Baby, don't be scared, he's alive, he's not dead."

Alive? Not dead? A living soul?

Nan Yuanman looked at the bewildered man in surprise. It was no wonder she couldn't see it; the man's soul still had those black and red threads remaining on it. They were like parasites, constantly moving through his soul, as if trying to find an opportunity to take him back.

His face was covered by black and red threads, making him look like an old ghost who had been trapped in a formation for a long time.

Who knows...

This man isn't dead; he's a living soul!

Thinking of the living soul, Nan Yuanman's mind flashed to Feng Yuli's father. The hair on her head stood up, and she stared intently at the man's face.

The man looked at Nan Yuanman, puzzled, and touched his face. "What's wrong? Is there something on my face?"

"No." Nan Yuanman shook her head, giving up. There were too many fine lines on his face, and she couldn't see any resemblance between this man and Feng Yuli's father.

She shook her head with some distress: "You don't remember anything right now, not even your own name or where you live. I can't help you."

"It's okay, it's fine like this, I feel very relaxed." The little brat's troubled look softened the man's heart, and his cold, hard voice became gentler.

“Well then, I’ll give you a name. You can follow me for now. When you meet someone you recognize and remember, I’ll help you return to your own body, okay?” Nan Yuanman clasped his hands together and asked.

The man nodded good-naturedly: "Okay."

Nan Yuanman's eyes lit up: "Then you'll be called Dog Egg from now on!"

She's finally a coffin maker with a big ghost!

Man: "...This is not good."
