Chapter 7 Sedwick I'm Not a Bionic Man

Chapter 7 Sedwick I'm Not a Bionic Man

Ming Nuo slowly woke up in a small, claustrophobic room. Everything was dark before his eyes and he could not hear a single sound. It was as if he had lost his five senses, which made him extremely panic.

He stood up by holding on to the wall, trembling and rubbing his surroundings, until he finally touched something soft.

What is this? Minodo touched it twice.

"Please don't touch my thighs, thank you."

A gentle and clear voice suddenly sounded, which scared Ming Nuo so much that he quickly retracted his hand and fell to the ground. He was quickly helped up by someone. The person opposite him should be a man with a good character.

The man pinched Ming Nuo's cheek and said, "Which model are you? The artificial skin feels great."

Model? Ming Nuo was stunned. "I don't know."

He also couldn't understand what the man was saying.

"Hub III?" the man murmured. "Then your price must be very high."

Ming Nuo: “……?”

A strange room, a strange man. Even if Ming Nuo was slow-witted, he could realize that he was in a bad situation. Moreover, his lambskin and dagger were both missing. They were probably dropped somewhere after he was stabbed in the neck.

Ming Nuo really regretted going to the auction. It was too scary outside, so he stayed at home and didn't go anywhere.

It was too late to regret now. He tried to leave, but couldn't even find the door.

It's really over now.

Mingnuo sat down passively against the wall, curled up in a small ball. The man beside him was also silent. The room was eerily quiet.

Time passed quietly, and the sound of footsteps would only be heard at meal time every day - someone would come to bring nutrient solution to Mingnuo to prevent him from starving to death.

Ming Nuo didn't know how many days he had stayed here. One day, he was finally taken out of the room. When he was bathed in the sunlight again, Ming Nuo realized that his eyes were not completely damaged. He could still see some blurry light and shadow.

Mingnuo's depressed mood finally improved a little.

But the shop owner's mood wasn't very good when he saw him. He stared at Ming Nuo again and again and angrily questioned the bearded boss, "Didn't I say I only wanted androids? What's going on with this underage kid?!"

"They captured him from a fringe star system. Selling him will kill him anyway, so why are you so scared?" The man didn't take it seriously. "This kid is incredibly beautiful. Sell him for a price, and we'll split the profits 30-70. You get 70, I get 30. How's that? Isn't that fair enough?"

The shopkeeper hesitated. The Perseus Empire had very strict protections for minors. However, the owner enumerated Mingnuo's value, tempting him. "If you're really scared, just sell him as a android. We'll make a quick buck and leave."

The shop owner couldn't help but be tempted and kept Mingnuo.

When Mingnuo learned that this was Perseus's capital planet, his heart was pounding and he tried hard to comfort himself.

His elder brother is the emperor now and is very busy. As long as he acts a little secretly, his elder brother will definitely not notice his existence.

This mechanical repair shop located on Ephir, the capital of the Perseus Empire, does not have a large customer base. Most of the customers bring their broken home robots for repair, while some follow the owner to the underground warehouse to select goods.

"This is the latest batch of bionic people." The shop owner was introducing the bionic person next to Ming Nuo to the buyer. It had the appearance of a young man with a clean and gentle appearance, and clear amber eyes.

"Look at his skin texture, it's just like a real person, and he uses the latest Nexus II electronic brain. You can buy him and use him as a bodyguard or a lover."

The buyer looked at the android's face and nodded with satisfaction. "It's really good. I'll buy it."

Ming Nuo's eyes widened as he listened to their conversation. The man who had been beside him was a android?! Yet, his tone of voice and touch were indistinguishable from a real person.

Ming Nuo was so scared that he broke out in a cold sweat. The bionic man next to him had been taken away, and the shop owner introduced him to the buyer.

"Look at this child, isn't he pretty?"

"It looks good." The buyer was amazed when he saw Ming Nuo, but he looked at the tape on his mouth and was a little surprised, "Why does this bionic man have his mouth gagged?"

The shopkeeper leaned close to his ear and whispered, "This is a pure human, but the price is only 10% higher than a android."

The buyer was horrified and waved his hands repeatedly, "Are you crazy? Are you trying to hurt me? Forget it, forget it. I don't want this. Quickly pack up the one I bought for me."

The shop owner was not discouraged and said okay with a smile. However, after he took two steps, he suddenly felt a chill in his chest, and the smile froze on his face. His strength quickly faded away with the blood flowing out of his chest.

“Ahhhh—”

The buyer screamed. The basement door had been forced open and a pair of well-trained soldiers rushed into the basement. The buyer had a gun to his head and was lying on the ground trembling.

"Don't move!"

"Close the door and don't let anyone escape!"

"Count the number of androids!"

“…”

Ming Nuo listened to the noise around him and suddenly opened his eyes wide. Someone came to save him? He began to struggle violently, but the ropes tied to him were too strong. Ming Nuo twisted and turned and fell off the chair with a snap.

Not far away, a boy with black hair and gray eyes grabbed the shoulders of an assistant who was trying to escape. The boy moved swiftly and quickly removed the assistant's jaw to prevent him from committing suicide, and kicked him in the chest with his long legs.

The assistant fell to the ground in a mess and was tied up by his companions who followed closely behind him.

Sedwick was wearing the slim-fitting uniform of the academy, with deep and three-dimensional eyebrows, a high nose bridge, and thin lips tightly pursed. Even in the chaotic arrest scene, his posture remained lazy.

He heard the noise coming from Mingnuo and turned his head to see the little bionic man with silver hair and blue eyes crawling on the ground, trying desperately to break free from the ropes on his body.

Seeing him staring blankly at one spot, Sedwick's companion patted him on the shoulder and said, "You've earned your credits. It's time to call it a day and go home for dinner."

Sedwick ignored him and strode towards Mingnuo who was lying on the ground. His companions were confused but followed him. "Huh?! Sedwick, we don't need to deal with these androids. There will be special people to dismantle them."

"I know."

Why would you go if you knew what you were doing? His companion scratched his head. He wondered when Sedwick had become so kind.

Is there any extra credits for cleaning up the androids?

Sedwick is worthy of being the undisputed king of the exam, and he never misses any opportunity to get credits.

Ming Nuo was struggling on the ground like a sheep with its limbs tied up. The next second, the ropes on his body were untied, someone lifted him up by the back of his collar, and the tape on his mouth was torn off.

A kind man saved him.

Ming Nuo's grievances suddenly surged up, and tears could not stop falling. "Thank you, thank you for saving me."

Sedwick looked at the tears streaming down his face, raised an eyebrow and asked, "You're not a android?"

His voice is a little hoarse, probably still in the voice changing stage.

Ming Nuo guessed that the kind man in front of him was probably a little older than him, and explained: "I'm not a bionic man. I have a father."

Ming Nuo sniffed, "I was abducted here by them. Can you help me and let me leave?"

Sedwick looked at his red face from crying, and suddenly reached out and pinched his arm. It was very soft, different from the slightly stiff skin of the android.

Mingnuo was suddenly pinched. He looked up at Sedwick blankly and said in a nasal voice, "Don't pinch me."

Sedwick lowered his hand and said calmly, "Sorry, I just wanted to make sure you're truly human."

"I am human."

Sedwick glanced at him and said, "Some androids have had human memories implanted into them, so your words have no credibility."

Ming Nuo didn't know how to refute, he just quietly defended himself, "...but I really am not a bionic man."

Sedwick was half a head taller than Mingnuo. He bent down slightly to look into Mingnuo's eyes and asked, "Are you blind?"

Ming Nuo felt that this kind-hearted person was being a bit presumptuous. "I'm just afraid of light. It's a genetic disease. I'm not blind."

"I'll go get a checkup later."

“…But I don’t have any money.”

“It’s free.”

Ming Nuo nodded immediately. He felt that although this kind-hearted man spoke in a rather domineering manner, he was still a good person.

Mingnuo is now alone and finally meets someone who can help him. He subconsciously moves closer to Sedwick, but is pushed away by Sedwick.

Seeing Mingnuo's aggrieved look, Sedwick wondered if he had done something immoral. He explained, "I don't like strangers getting too close to me."

Ming Nuo always liked to cling to people when he was with Ming Chuan, but he also knew that some people didn't like this kind of intimate clinging, so he took a step back, bent down and apologized, "I'm sorry."

Sedwick glanced at him, his eyes lingering on his slightly chubby cheeks for a moment, then drifted away.

After listening to their conversation and looking at Mingnuo's delicate face, Sedwick's companion was somewhat shocked that someone could really look like this without the help of technology.

When his companions heard that there was a real human among the androids, they curiously asked Mingnuo, "What's your name? Where did you live before? How did you get brought to Ephir? Where are your parents?"

Ming Nuo: "I..."

"Aren't you in a hurry to go home for dinner?" Sedwick interrupted Mingnuo. There was no emotion in his gray eyes. When he stared at people, it was easy to think of gray thorns in the cold wind. "You go back. I'll take him to the police station."

His companion was also familiar with Sedwick's slightly commanding tone of voice. He glanced at Mingnuo reluctantly and said, "Okay, see you tomorrow."

Ming Nuo thought that this sentence also included him, so he nodded naturally, "Yeah, see you tomorrow."

Sedwick: "I didn't talk to you."

Ming Nuo lowered his head, like a little lamb doused in cold water, his fluffy hair becoming wet. "Oh... I'm sorry."

This guy is really hard to talk to, Mingnuo thought to himself. He is even more mean than San. At least San can occasionally communicate with him in a friendly manner.

The news that the Ephi Star Mechanical Repair Shop was wiped out soon reached the ears of the bearded boss.

The boss looked at the brilliant starry sky outside the window, a glass of red wine in his hand, glanced at his panicked subordinates, and said calmly, "What are you afraid of? We'll be back to Saichuan soon. Can they still chase us across the border?"

As he said this, he laughed first.

Maybe if their Majesty knew that they were causing trouble for the Perseus Empire, he would take action to protect them. Everyone knows that the two sides hate each other.

The boss didn't feel panicked at all. It was just a matter of losing a storefront and making less money. Anyway, his family assets were enough for him to squander even in his next lifetime.

Three starships descended into the port of the capital planet of the Saichuan Empire. It was late at night, and the night sky was full of stars. The boss took a deep breath in a good mood.

Ah, this is the breath of hometown.

The next second, artillery fire from his hometown was aimed at him.

boss:"……?!"
