Chapter 32
In the chaotic area of Sala City, outside the small courtyard on Yongxiang Street, a man in a wheelchair knocked on the door for a long time but no one came to open it, so he simply broke in.
After entering and seeing the empty house, Luo Andeli's already bad mood became even gloomier. He leaned back in his wheelchair, the sun shining directly into his eyes but he could not feel any warmth. He slightly pulled the corners of his mouth as if trying to force a smile, but failed in the end.
It was a rare opportunity for him to succeed. He was beaten and sent to the hospital for half a month for emergency treatment. He was almost unable to be saved several times. When he finally woke up, he was so overwhelmed by the dual physical and mental feedback that he had no desire to live. There were even several times when he planned to just end it all.
Luo Andeli knew that he had some mental problems. He was definitely not the kind of person who thought that life was meaningless, the world was full of darkness and unhappiness, and he might as well die and be done with it.
He could endure the physical pain, but the mental problem made him very upset.
Since waking up, any negative emotions he has have been infinitely magnified, and the expressions and eyes of anyone he sees will be automatically interpreted with all kinds of nonsensical meanings.
Every moment seemed like he was immersed in a sea of negative emotions. It could be said that his mood was at a low point, and his spirit was at a highly tense level. After a few days, he became depressed and listless.
Because of these problems, Hillianbull has been taking care of him like a baby since he woke up. Unable to bear it any longer, Luo Andeli created some trouble and found an opportunity to slip away. Even though he can't move freely now, it is still easy for him to do something in Hillianbull's old house and slip away.
After leaving the central city, Luo Andeli returned to Sala City without a moment's delay. After dealing with some stranded matters in the black market, he came here without stopping, but he didn't expect that the place was deserted.
After being depressed for a while, Luo Andeli cheered up and opened the terminal. When he was about to call Jiaojiao, he saw the incoherent address that Yin Zheng had left a week ago.
He had seen this message two days ago. There was no text on it, just this address. He was in a very bad state at the time, and since he was confused, he didn't pay much attention to it.
At this time, Luo Andeli turned his head to look at the empty room, and then looked at the address.
I'm convinced too. What would happen if you left a few more words?
In the small courtyard of No. 381 Huapu Street, Tenglong District, Wangcheng, Jiaojiao, who had gotten up early, was inspecting her new home with a bottle of milk in her mouth, while Yin Zheng was preparing lunch in the kitchen, and from time to time he looked up through the window to see Jiaojiao in the living room.
After leaving Sala, his cooperation with Yu Sheng Private Kitchen was over. He couldn't have someone take a seven-hour suspended train to deliver food, right?
Halfway through the meal, Jiaojiao ran in with a half-full bottle of milk as usual: "Daddy, ah."
Yin Zheng took the bottle and seeing that he was still looking at him eagerly, he understood and drank the milk in the bottle in two gulps, then handed the bottle to Jiaojiao.
Holding the bottle, Jiaojiao came to the sink and climbed onto the small stool with great effort. After his father turned on the water for him, he stood on tiptoe with his eyes bent and happily washed the bottle. After washing it, he carefully wiped it dry with a towel before handing it to his father.
When Yin Zheng took the bottle, he picked up Jiaojiao and put the bottle down. Then he walked out holding Jiaojiao in one hand and holding the dishes in the other.
After lunch and digestion, it’s time for a nap.
After being put on the bed by his father, Jiaojiao used his hands and feet to crawl to the head of the bed. He patted the pillow with his little hands. Although he was about to take a nap, his eyes were full of excitement: "Daddy, come up quickly."
After Yin Zheng lay down on the bed, Jiaojiao followed suit, automatically finding a comfortable angle in her father's arms, and began to tell her father a bedtime story in a seemingly orderly manner.
Ever since he told his father a bedtime story once, Jiaojiao has fallen in love with this activity. He insists on having his father tell him stories to put him to sleep at night and he tells stories to put his father to sleep at noon.
However, the stories Jiaojiao told were the ones Yin Zheng had told him the night before.
Jiaojiao has a good memory, but due to his age, he can only roughly remember the outline of the story his father told him at night, and he doesn't remember many details.
So every time Jiaojiao told a bedtime story, it was obviously the story that Yin Zheng had just told the night before, but it made Yin Zheng feel unfamiliar, and sometimes even a little curious.
It is true that the stories told by Jiaojiao are pieced together and mixed with some of his own wild ideas, which occasionally give people a sense of novelty.
Yin Zheng, lying on the bed, fell asleep to the soft voice of Jiaojiao. When he woke up again, it was already two o'clock in the afternoon.
After waking up, Yin Zheng tidied himself first before waking up Jiaojiao who was sleeping soundly in bed.
Jiaojiao, who was woken up, hummed twice like a little animal. After a while, she opened her eyes in a daze, sat up with her hair messy, and stared at Yin Zheng blankly with her sleepy eyes. She looked dazed, as if she could fall down and close her eyes to sleep again at any time.
Yin Zheng skillfully held the still dazed Jiaojiao in his arms, changed his clothes, and took him to the bathroom to wash his face to wake him up.
After washing their faces and getting rid of sleepiness, Jiaojiao and her father sat on small stools at the door of the living room. Each of them held a piece of red watermelon in their hands, eating while looking at the yard in front of them which was empty except for weeds.
Jiaojiao, whose nose and cheeks were still a little red after washing, took a bite of the sweet watermelon in her hand and pointed to the yard in front of her and said, "Dad, the yard is not pretty. We need to plant some flowers."
"Yeah." Yin Zheng nodded in agreement and planned to go see if there were any flower seedlings for sale in Wangcheng tomorrow. If not, he would go to the Endless Sea to dig them.
Time went by slowly. When the sun set and the sky was filled with red clouds, Jiaojiao and her father each took a small hoe, squatted in the yard and started weeding.
It was already five o'clock in the afternoon when Luo Andeli found Jiaojiao and their family's new residence according to the address.
The golden-red sunlight shone through the yellow clouds. He drove his wheelchair to the gate of the yard. When he heard the familiar little voice coming from the door, his tense mood suddenly relaxed for a moment.
He raised his hand and knocked on the door.
Inside the door, Yin Zheng heard a knock on the door, put down what he was holding, walked forward and opened the door. When he saw Luo Andeli sitting in a wheelchair, his eyes fell down on his legs.
Luo Andeli, who was pale and pushing his wheelchair inside, looked at Yin Zheng and said, "Long time no see."
Jiaojiao, who was squatting on the ground weeding with a small hoe, turned her head when she heard the sound. When she saw that it was Luo Andeli, she immediately put down the small hoe, supported herself on the ground with her hands, and stood up with her butt sticking out.
"Uncle Luo An." He shouted and ran over with his short legs.
When Luo Andeli, who was in a wheelchair, saw the undisguised joy on Jiaojiao's little face, his mood, which had been at a low point, improved a little.
"Uncle Luo An, Jiaojiao misses you." Jiaojiao ran up to him and looked up at him.
Luo Andeli didn't say anything, but just bent down and held Jiaojiao in his arms, rubbing her chin on his shoulder.
"Is Uncle Luo An unhappy?" Jiaojiao, sensing his low mood, patted his chest with her little hand and said, "Jiaojiao, comfort him."
Feeling the light force on his chest that felt like a tickle, Luo Andeli hugged the small, soft ball in his arms a little tighter and said lazily, "Guess if your uncle missed you."
"I do." Jiaojiao nodded affirmatively.
Luo Andeli chuckled: "Are you so sure?"
"Hmm." Jiaojiao raised her head with great effort in his arms and looked at him: "Did Jiaojiao guess right?"
Luo Andeli lowered his head to meet his dark, bright eyes and said lazily, "You guessed right."
Jiaojiao instantly curved her eyes and smiled. Seeing him like this, Luo Andeli asked, "Are you so happy?"
"Uncle Luo An misses Jiaojiao, and Jiaojiao is happy."
The little guy is quite good at coaxing people.
Luo Andeli smiled and felt much better.
"Why is Uncle Luo An sitting in this strange chair?"
"I'm sick and my legs are weak. I need to sit in a wheelchair for a while." Luo Andeli said as he drove the wheelchair inside.
Because he forced himself to drive the mecha, his body was overdrawn, his muscles were torn, many bones were broken, and his internal organs were injured. After being rescued, he just needed to rest for a while.
But he is not the type of person who can stay in bed, so he got a wheelchair.
Yin Zheng closed the door and followed the two of them.
"If you are sick, you need to get injections and see a doctor." Jiaojiao said with a worried look on her face.
"I beat her and I watched her." Luo Andeli said as he touched the scar on Jiaojiao's neck, a hint of dark emotion in his emerald green eyes.
Jiaojiao, who was in Luo Andeli's arms, suddenly saw two small black handprints on Luo Andeli's silver-gray clothes.
He first curiously put his little hand on it to compare, and when he found that they were exactly the same size, he smiled. As he smiled, he saw his little hand leaving a small palm print on Luo Andeli's clothes.
After realizing that these palm prints were left by herself, Jiaojiao put her hands behind her back guiltily.
Luo Andeli noticed that something was wrong with him and looked down to see several small black handprints on his chest. After realizing how they came about, he looked at Jiaojiao who had her hands behind her back guiltily.
After meeting his gaze, Jiaojiao, feeling guilty, quickly took out a candy from her pocket and stuffed it into Luo Andeli's hand. Her soft little voice was a little anxious: "Don't be angry, don't be angry."
After saying that, he extended his hand to Yin Zheng again and said eagerly, "Daddy, hold me."
Luo Andeli, who held Jiaojiao in his arms to prevent Yin Zheng from taking her away, couldn't help but laugh out loud while covering his face when he saw his guilty and anxious look.
"Why are you so anxious? No matter how angry I am, I won't scold or hit you." Luo Andeli said, rubbing his furry little head.
Hearing him say this, Jiaojiao, knowing that she would not be beaten or scolded, breathed a sigh of relief. She raised her little hand and tugged at Luo Andeli's clothes, saying softly, "Jiaojiao got it dirty. Jiaojiao will wash it for me."
Seeing him like this, Yin Zheng and Luo Andeli frowned at the same time. The little guy obviously looked like he had been beaten and scolded before, otherwise he wouldn't behave like this.
But so far they haven't found out who the little guy's biological parents are, and who did that to him...
"No need to wash." Luo Andeli pinched Jiaojiao's little face and said, "I wouldn't let a child wash my clothes."
"Hello, Uncle Luo An." Jiaojiao, whose face was pinched, spoke vaguely.
Luo Andeli's expression changed when he pinched Jiaojiao's face and found that she hadn't gained any weight. He held Jiaojiao up and down, then looked at Yin Zheng: "Has Jiaojiao not gained any weight after all this time?"
Hearing what he said, Yin Zheng picked up Jiaojiao and weighed him. To ensure accuracy, he carried Jiaojiao into the living room and put him on the scale. The number on the scale was exactly the same as the first time Jiaojiao was weighed.
After measuring his height again and finding no change, Yin Zheng's face suddenly turned ugly.
For a child in the growth stage, it is impossible for his weight and height to remain unchanged for two or three months.
Jiaojiao looked at her father with confused eyes. When she found out that her father was unhappy, she took out two candies and put them in Yin Zheng's hand: "Dad, don't be unhappy. Jiaojiao coaxed him and gave him candy."
"I'm not unhappy." Yin Zheng, who was squatting on the ground, raised his hand and touched Jiaojiao's furry head soothingly, then picked him up and rushed towards the hospital.
Luo Andeli also drove his wheelchair and followed closely behind them.
There is a hospital near where Yin Zheng and his family live, because the Internet suggests that it is best to raise children close to a hospital, so that it will be very convenient to take care of them if they have a fever, a cold, etc.
It was already seven o'clock in the evening after we went to the hospital and went through a lot of trouble. The final conclusion was that there was no other problem except that he was a little malnourished.
However, after listening to what they said, the doctor solemnly suggested that they go to a better hospital for a check-up, after all, the equipment in the border town's hospital was not very complete.
For symptoms like these that have no known cause, you should go to a large hospital in an inner city.
"Dad, is Jiaojiao sick again?" Jiaojiao, who had just come out of the hospital, raised her hand and touched her little forehead and asked in confusion.
"No." Yin Zheng rested his chin lightly on his furry head, his drooping eyes falling on his arm, which was slightly bruised from the blood draw. "It's just that we have to move again."
"Ah, where are we moving to?" Jiaojiao was surprised and had no idea that coming to the hospital for a check-up had any connection with moving.
"Move to the central city." Yin Zheng planned to sell the two small courtyards in the chaotic area of Tenglong District and Sala Border Town, and then take Jiaojiao to visit the hospital in the central city.
"Where is the central city?" Jiaojiao asked curiously.
"Here." Luo Andeli pulled up a virtual map and pointed it at Jiaojiao: "If Jiaojiao moves over there, we'll be neighbors."
How could his uncle not be there when Jiaojiao went to the central city for treatment? As for the black market in Sala City, he could just ask anyone to take over.
Hearing this, Jiaojiao arched her eyebrows and said happily, "Then Jiaojiao and Dad can go to Uncle Luo An's house to play."
Seeing his happy little look, Luo Andeli's mood also improved a lot. He lowered his head and sent a message to Hillianbul from the terminal, asking him to immediately arrange two houses next to each other, preferably the kind separated by only a wall.
Far away in the central city, Hillian Bull, who was worried and angry because Luo Andeli had disappeared and could not be contacted, saw the news and said: "..."
He gritted his teeth and finally asked someone to go down and do it.
There's no other way. What else can I do if I don't spoil my own troublesome little brother?!
Let’s go to Central City to play!
