Chapter 106 "Look at me more, okay?"
Ji Huaishen looked in the direction she pointed, his eyes suddenly sharp.
About a hundred meters away on the sea, there was indeed a blurry human figure on a large foam board, swaying with the waves.
“There really is someone!”
Wen Duo's voice trembled slightly due to shock, and she subconsciously grabbed Ji Huaishen's arm:
"We have to save her! Otherwise she will definitely die."
Ji Huaishen withdrew his gaze from the sea and fell on Wen Duo's anxious little face.
He knew her too well.
That soft heart will not tolerate any inaction.
Although he instinctively resisted anything that might disturb their solitude, but...
"Save him." He gave a brief order to the bodyguard beside him.
"yes."
In less than a minute, two well-trained bodyguards had lowered the lifeboat and were rowing quickly towards the floating figure.
Wen Duo gripped the railing nervously, anxiously watching the bodyguards rowing towards the person in distress, feeling nervous unconsciously.
"It'll be fine."
Ji Huaishen's big hand covered her slightly trembling fingers, and his warm and dry palm conveyed a reassuring warmth.
Wen Duo retracted her gaze, looked into Ji Huai's dark eyes, pursed her lips, and nodded:
"Um."
When the lifeboat returned, blankets and medical equipment were ready on deck.
A young woman was carried up. Her wet white dress clung to her body, outlining her startling curves.
Her pale face was bloodless, but it couldn't hide her breathtaking beauty.
Her porcelain-white skin was almost transparent in the sunlight, and her thick eyelashes cast shadows on her face. She looked like a rose ravaged by a storm, gorgeous and pitiful.
"Is she still alive?"
Wen Duo asked anxiously, unconsciously grabbing Ji Huaishen's sleeve.
The female doctor on board quickly examined her and looked up at Wen Duo and said:
"The pulse is weak but regular. It's dehydration and hypothermia. There are no obvious external injuries. He currently needs intravenous fluids and will be examined in detail after landing on the island."
After she finished speaking, she turned to Ji Huaishen and said respectfully:
"Mr. Ji, this lady doesn't have any ID on her. But...her clothes are this year's high-end custom-made ones, they are very valuable, so her status must be high."
Ji Huaishen frowned slightly, but seeing Wen Duo's worried look, he nodded:
"Take her to the doctor's office."
He beckoned the captain of the bodyguards and lowered his voice:
"Go and find out her identity."
Wen Duo watched the unconscious woman being carried away and wanted to follow, but Ji Huaishen gently pulled her back:
"Let the doctor take care of it. We'll be landing on the island soon."
"But..." Wen Duo bit her lower lip, her eyes following the woman being carried away.
Ji Huaishen's fingers stroked her lips, saving her lower lip that had been bitten white:
"Don't worry, the medical equipment on the yacht is more than enough to save her."
Wen Duo finally relaxed a little, but her brows were still furrowed.
"Then why is she drifting alone on the sea? Did she encounter some difficulties..."
Ji Huaishen's eyes darkened slightly, and he did not answer immediately.
He waved to the bodyguard captain and whispered a few words to him. The other party nodded and left.
"I've asked someone to check the latest maritime alerts and missing persons reports."
When he turned to Wen Duo, his eyes returned to gentleness:
"For now, let's just focus on the upcoming vacation, okay?"
As he spoke, there was a hint of pleading in Ji Huaishen's eyes.
He had been waiting for this moment for a long time, and he really didn't want anyone else to disturb their time together.
In fact, he now regrets it a little.
If I had known this, I wouldn’t have brought my wife to the deck. In the cabin, she wouldn’t have seen anyone floating, wouldn’t have wanted to save them, and wouldn’t have been distracted by others.
Although Wen Duo was still a little worried about the unconscious woman, she finally nodded after seeing the look in Ji Huaishen's eyes.
..........
When the yacht docked, the sunset had dyed the entire sky golden red.
Wenduo stood on the deck and watched the medical staff carry the still unconscious woman onto a stretcher and send her to the castle on the island.
"She'll get the best care, I promise."
Ji Huaishen's voice came from behind, and his warm breath brushed against her ear.
His slender arms were wrapped around her waist, and his chin rested lightly on the top of her head. Wen Duo could smell his cool fragrance mixed with the sea breeze.
"So, don't worry about her anymore,"
His voice was as low as a cello, with a hint of grievance:
"Look at me more, okay?"
Wen Duo unconsciously relaxed in his arms, like a cat having its fur stroked.
She nodded, suddenly realizing that there were bodyguards and crew members on deck, and that this posture was too intimate.
The tips of her ears suddenly burned.
She struggled slightly to get out of his arms, but was firmly locked by the man's strong arms.
"Why are you shy?"
Ji Huaishen laughed softly, and the vibration of his chest could be heard through their backs pressed against each other.
He bent down and kissed the top of her head, his voice filled with unquestionable possessiveness:
"We are already married, Mrs. Ji."
He must constantly remind the little liar of their relationship instead of always wasting his time on other people.
Wenduo felt her cheeks getting even hotter.
Woo woo woo, there are so many people around!
"I...I know."
She protested softly, saying:
"I want to get off the boat. I can't leave if you hold me like this."
Ji Huaishen chuckled and finally let go of his arm, but in the next second he grabbed her hand and interlocked their fingers.
His palm was large and warm, completely wrapping around her small hand.
Wen Duo looked at their intertwined fingers and muttered:
"He's obviously a domineering boss, why is he so clingy..."
"Um?"
Ji Huaishen raised his eyebrows, pretending not to hear, and led her towards the gangway:
"What did Mrs. Ji just say?"
"No, nothing!" Wen Duo shook her head hurriedly and followed him off the boat.
The moment I stepped onto the dock, the wooden floor creaked slightly.
The sea breeze blew in with the sweet fragrance of tropical flowers, and the coconut trees in the distance rustled, as if welcoming their arrival.
"It's so beautiful here..." she sighed softly, her eyes sweeping across the blue sea and white sand beach.
Ji Huaishen turned his head to look at Wen Duo, whose eyes were shining, and asked lovingly:
"Would you like to take a car directly to the castle, or walk along the coastline?"
Wen Duo looked at the towering castle spire in the distance, then looked at the winding beach path under her feet. After hesitating for a moment, her eyes lit up:
"How about we take a short walk towards the castle? We can get in the car when we get tired."
Ji Huaishen raised the corners of his lips slightly:
"As you wish."
They moved slowly towards the windward direction of the castle, the fine sand making a slight crunching sound under their feet.
The setting sun stretched the shadows of the two people very long, intertwined together, and they could not be distinguished from each other.
