Chapter 21 "You know Chinese medicine? Are you a doctor?"

When a few children saw adults around, they just reached out and spat at the children on the ground and ran away.

"Hey!" Su Yuhe frowned, "Who is this?"

She squatted down and slowed her voice: "Are you okay?"

Dandan looked up and saw Su Yuhe. She was stunned for a moment. She remembered this beautiful sister and gave her a lot of food.

She sniffed: "I'm not a thief."

Su Yuhe was in a complicated mood. She didn't dare to say whether she was a thief or not, but someone snatched Su Yuhe's things.

"I really didn't steal anything!" The child became anxious when he saw Su Yuhe didn't say anything.

Su Yuhe nodded: "Well, no."

She was about to ask the child what he was doing there when he suddenly hugged Su Yuhe's legs and burst into tears: "Sister, save grandpa! Wuuwu, save grandpa!"

Su Yuhe felt a little reluctant: "I'm not a doctor. If you want to save grandpa, you have to go to the hospital to find a doctor."

The child cried even harder: "I have no money..."

Su Yuhe didn't really want to get involved in this mess, but she held the child too tightly and he was crying miserably.

She sighed, thinking of it as accumulating blessings for her child who died young.

Come to the small courtyard again.

The child rushed in first: "Grandpa, Dandan found someone to save you!"

When Su Yuhe entered, the child was holding the old man's hand and shaking it.

Su Yuhe was shocked. The old man was lying there motionless. She thought he was dead.

Fortunately, the old man coughed twice and woke up, but he was out of breath: "Dan, Dandan."

"Grandpa," the child turned around, "I found my sister."

Now that we're here, there's no chance of retreat.

Su Yuhe stepped forward and said, "Grandpa, how are you?"

"Ahem~ No, it's okay," the old man looked at Su Yuhe, "Sorry to bother you, girl, go back."

"No!" The child rushed over and hugged Su Yuhe, fearing that she would leave.

“Grandpa, Grandpa, sister can save you!”

Su Yuhe really wanted to hold her forehead with her hands. She really didn’t know how to save people!

Judging from the old man's appearance, he is not dying, but it seems that they have given up on treatment.

Su Yuhe thought for a moment and said, "Grandpa, what's wrong with you? If it can be cured, go get it."

The old man didn't say anything, and Su Yuhe knew that she was half right.

She continued, "It's a matter of money. I can lend you some, but it's not much, just twenty or thirty."

The old man said: "It's incurable. It's a rotten life. Everyone in the family is gone. I've had enough of living as an old man."

Su Yuhe glanced at the child and asked, "What about your grandson? What will happen to him if you leave? Will he become a beggar on the street?"

As she spoke, Su Yuhe's voice became a little higher.

She really couldn't agree with the old man's behavior. It wasn't a terminal illness.

Don't treat the disease and choose to wait for death.

What's the difference between that and throwing a child into a fire?

The old man's eyes moved, and he said sadly: "It's all fate!"

"Wu...Grandpa, please don't die. Don't leave me."

Su Yuhe: "Do you really have the heart to abandon him? How about this, I'll take you to the hospital first."

The old man shook his head. Su Yuhe was about to start scolding him, asking why he was so stubborn!

The old man just said, "No need to go to the hospital, I can treat it myself, but I can't buy medicine."

"What medicine? I'll go get it for you."

The old man suddenly laughed: "It's useless, Chinese medicine is not available."

During this period, the development of traditional Chinese medicine was severely affected, and many pharmacies faced the risk of suspension and rectification...

"You know Chinese medicine? Are you a doctor?"

The old man didn't say anything, and Su Yuhe understood.

The old man was unwilling to seek treatment, probably because he was disappointed with the environment.

Chinese medicinal materials are indeed difficult to find, but you can definitely find them if you are determined.

"Since you are a doctor, you should know where to find the herbs you want. Tell me and I will find them for you."

The old man suddenly lifted the quilt covering his legs.

The air was instantly filled with the stench of rotting meat.

Su Yuhe couldn't help but dry heave, then realized that her reaction was somewhat hurtful.

She quickly explained: "I'm sorry, I really - ugh -"

The old man's expression remained unchanged. Su Yuhe's reaction was what he had expected. He looked at Su Yuhe and said, "It was fine at first, but then my legs became paralyzed and my other organs started to stop functioning. I've been bedridden for so long that I've developed bedsores."

Su Yuhe: "Can it be cured?"

"We can cure it if we find the medicine."

"Tell me what you're looking for, and I'll find it for you."

The old man propped himself up and sat up. Seeing that he was having difficulty, Su Yuhe hesitated for a second and then went over to support him.

The old man asked Su Yuhe to move the mud vat beside the kang and let her dig.

Su Yuhe blinked. Usually, things hidden like this are treasures!

She found something handy and dug four or five inches of mud before she hit something hard. She stopped digging and looked at the old man.

The old man pointed to the corner and said, "Bring the hammer here."

The child ran over to get it.

Su Yuhe weighed the hammer in his hand, then smashed it down with force.

It took several hits before it broke.

Su Yuhe carefully moved out the broken pieces and took out the contents, which were wrapped in a cloth and contained something unknown.

She didn't open it and put it on the kang.

The old man untied it, revealing the contents: several thread-bound books with gray-blue covers.

Full of traces of time and opened by their owners as treasures, one can imagine how valuable these books are.

The old man's eyes were wet, and his voice was choked with sobs: "These are all treasures."

Su Yuhe listened quietly. The old man pointed out a few herbs and asked Su Yuhe to look at them: "These are all on the mountain. See if you can find them back."

"Can this cure it?"

He shook his head: "It's far away. These are for treating bedsores."
