Su Yuhe had indeed picked the Ruyi because of its small size, and she had no idea that she had accidentally picked up such an expensive thing.
She wrapped Ruyi in a handkerchief and put it in her bag.
I also set aside some rice from the things I bought, but not noodles, because the children definitely don’t know how to cook noodles. The remaining rice can be used to make porridge.
A few baked buns and two big steamed buns were left.
She took out a handful of candies, peeled one with her own hands and put it next to the child's mouth.
The child opened his mouth carefully and took a bite, looking at Su Yuhe with his big eyes.
The child's face was still dark and gray, and his hair was still messy, like a bird's nest, supported only by his eyes.
Su Yuhe wanted to clean up the child, but she found out that the child usually slept on the old man's kang. Her clothes were also dusty, and she didn't know if they were not washed clean or not at all.
Let’s wait until next time to clean it up.
The old man didn't let her take the book away, not because he was afraid she wouldn't return it, but because he was afraid it would be discovered and affect Su Yuhe.
When Su Yuhe was leaving, the child looked at her reluctantly.
Su Yuhe smiled and said, "I'll be here in two days."
The child chased Su Yuhe out of the alley.
When she returned to the village, Jiang Lin didn't come to pick her up this time. He probably didn't know that she had gone out again.
Su Yuhe had no plans to go to work in the afternoon, nor did she cook in the kitchen of the educated youth site.
Maybe the food she made was too delicious, and some people at the educated youth site couldn't stand it, and some people had already started gossiping about her in private.
Su Yuhe put the meat and vegetables she bought in a basket and went to Jiang Lin's house.
Jiang Lin's house is surrounded by high walls and a large courtyard. Even a dog outside can't smell anything.
Only the old lady and Ye Yunshu were at home. Su Yuhe greeted them and went to the kitchen to work as if she was familiar with the place.
Ye Yunshu put down what she was holding, felt her way to the kitchen with a stick, and wanted to help.
Su Yuhe knew that she would feel at ease only if she helped with something, so she took the vegetables for her to pick.
Ye Yunshu: "There are a few vacant plots in the yard. I've already asked Lin Ge'er to turn them over. We can plant some vegetables there when the time comes."
There are only two women in the family, one is half paralyzed and the other is blind. Jiang Lin, a big guy, buys everything outside and has never thought about planting.
It was the old lady who suggested planting vegetables. She said the yard was too barren and lifeless, so she wanted to plant some.
Su Yuhe smiled: "Okay."
But she really couldn't imagine Jiang Lin growing vegetables.
Su Yuhe braised the pork, chopped the green peppers, and put them into the baked steamed buns. This was the spicy filling that Jiang Lin loved.
Jiang Lin just came back with two fish in his hands, which he usually threw directly into the wooden basin beside the well.
When he heard the voices in the kitchen, he knew that Su Yuhe had arrived. He turned around, carried the fish into the kitchen, and met Su Yuhe's smiling eyes.
He lifted the fish and shook it: "How do you do this?"
Su Yuhe was very surprised: "Where did the fish come from?"
Jiang Lin looked a little proud: "I caught it."
Su Yuhe: "Kill it and braise it while the pan is hot."
"OK."
Jiang Lin cleaned up the fish in no time.
When he came in, Ye Yunshu found an excuse to go out.
There were only two people left in the kitchen.
Su Yuhe heated the pan with cold oil, sprinkled some salt around it, and then put the fish in to fry.
The fish was fried until both sides were golden brown. Su Yuhe poured the prepared sauce into it. After it was cooked dry, she took it out and sprinkled it with chopped green onions. It looked tempting.
Jiang Lin didn't know when he stood behind her, and when she turned around, he kissed her: "You smell so good."
Su Yuhe smiled: "Fish fragrance?"
"You smell good."
"Shao Pin." Su Yuhe found it funny. The cold man who had always stayed away from her and told her not to get close to him was gone.
Jiang Lin is now smooth-talking.
Su Yuhe didn't bring any of the steamed buns she bought. She left them at the educated youth center for the other educated youth to eat and see. If they wanted to eat good food, they could come to Jiang's house.
It doesn't matter how you perform it.
Roujiamo cannot be the staple food, so I cooked some porridge.
Halfway through the meal, someone came and called out "Brother Lin" from outside.
Jiang Lin went out to open the door and brought in a young man.
"Is it Xiaohai?" Ye Yunshu smiled. She couldn't see, but her hearing was very sharp. She could recognize common people by the sound of their footsteps.
"It's me, hello, auntie."
Ye Yunshu nodded: "Let's eat together."
Yang Xiaohai saw several dishes on the table, including fish, meat, and roujiamo, and his mouth was watering.
"It has to be my brother Lin."
Jiang Lin brought him a bowl and chopsticks, and waved his head with his free hand: "Stop being so lazy, eat quickly."
Yang Xiaohai sat on the bench and noticed a girl sitting there. He took one look and stood up in shock, pointing at Su Yuhe: "You you——"
Su Yuhe recognized him the moment he came in. Except for his paler face, wasn't he the boy selling "tickets" that she saw in the free market today?
She smiled slightly, which was considered an admission.
"What?" Jiang Lin saw that he couldn't fart for a long time and patted his shoulder.
The old lady and Ye Yunshu were also present at the dinner table, so there were some things that could not be said. Jiang Xiaohai felt very uncomfortable, so he quickly finished his meal and pulled Jiang Lin out to talk.
"Who is that?"
"An educated youth from the commune," Jiang Lin smiled again, "your future sister-in-law."
"Ah?" Jiang Xiaohai looked painful and disappointed. He had suffered a huge loss.
"What happened? What did you just say?"
Jiang Xiaohai told Su Yuhe about his encounter with her at the free market: "I wanted to ask if you had any ideas for industrial vouchers or bicycles. I could have made at least five yuan by selling them. But now, there's no hope."
Jiang Lin was shocked: "She went to the free market to buy things?"
