Ye Yunshu put herself in Su Yuhe's shoes and thought, if Su Yuhe was her daughter, she would be so heartbroken.
"What's wrong, mother? Looking at me like that?"
"It's okay. Thank you for your hard work, Yuhe. If Jiang Lin does anything mean to you in the future, tell me and I will beat him up for you."
After Su Yuhe cleaned up the dishes, she found that Ye Yunshu was staring at her from time to time. She thought that Ye Yunshu had found out that she was hiding something from Jiang Lin.
Fortunately, it wasn't. Su Yuhe smiled twice and said, "Okay, Mom."
Ding Huai chatted with the old lady for a few words and saw someone walking back and forth outside the door.
He stretched himself, walked out, and saw an old man drying things in the yard.
This old man has some influence. I met him at a wedding.
Because of Su Yuhe, Ding Huai watched the old man picking up some strange things and drying them on the winnowing basket, wondering if they were medicinal herbs.
He strolled out and asked, "Old man, are these medicinal herbs?"
Shi Kangyuan glanced at him, nodded, and said nothing.
Ding Huai wasn't very familiar with Shi Kangyuan, and Jiang Lin hadn't told him much about him. But out of curiosity, Ding Huai couldn't help but ask, "Are you a Chinese medicine doctor?"
Shi Kangyuan ignored him this time.
He knew that this man was brought back by Su Yuhe, but out of caution, he didn't intend to say more to him.
Ding Huai: "Did you teach my sister-in-law her medical skills? She's quite good at it. Just one acupuncture treatment can relieve the itchiness caused by stinging nettles."
Shi Kangyuan finally looked at him. Since Su Yuhe was willing to let Ding Huai know that she was a doctor, it meant that Ding Huai could be trusted.
Besides, Ding Huai was praising his apprentice. He looked very proud: "Don't you see whose apprentice he is! Besides, it's just a simple case of urticaria. My apprentice has treated more difficult diseases!"
Ding Huai was good at saying nice things and had a smile on his face, which made Shi Kangyuan's favorability towards him increase sharply. He was much better than Jiang Lin, that stinky stone!
Look at how other people call each other "old gentleman" when they speak, but Jiang Lin just calls him "old man". He is just a rough country guy, very vulgar!
Seeing that Ding Huai was really interested in the herbs he was fiddling with, Shi Kangyuan couldn't help but talk to Ding Huai: "This is burdock seeds, and this is honeysuckle. They are both Chinese medicinal herbs used to treat urticaria..."
Ding Huai listened silently: "Where do these herbs come from?"
“I dug it up in the mountains myself.”
You have to go to the mountains to dig, which is too hard. Besides, can you find any medicine you want?
What if I can’t find it?
Ding Huai nodded thoughtfully, an idea flashed through his mind quickly, but he couldn't catch it anymore.
Su Yuhe stir-fried a plate of chicken with chili peppers. It wasn't too spicy, but the chicken was flavorful and fragrant.
Stir-fry pork with green onions, stir-fry beans separately, fry green onions with eggs, and mash the steamed autumn eggplants and mix them with the prepared sauce. It looks very tempting.
This eggplant can be used to mix with rice to make three big bowls!
The dining table was overflowing with food, and Ding Huai felt a little embarrassed: "Oh, I'm sorry to bother my aunt and sister-in-law with so many dishes. Just two dishes will be enough. Why go through so much trouble?"
"Don't be polite, we need to eat too." Su Yuhe asked them to sit down and eat, and even called the driver over.
The man knew his position clearly. How could he sit at the table without his master's permission?
Ding Huai waved his hand: "Sit down and eat."
The man then sat down.
Ye Yunshu had already served the rice. In one hand, she held a bowl of rice piled high in a small bowl and placed it in front of Ding Huai and the others. "Hurry up and eat. Yuhe is a very good cook. Her stir-fried dishes are especially delicious."
Ding Huai smiled and said, "I can already smell the fragrance. I won't be polite then."
He thought it was just a polite remark, until the chicken entered his mouth, then he realized that Ye Yunshu was not lying.
He ate several pieces of chicken and pork in a row, but the pork didn't taste like pork at all!
He repeatedly exclaimed in amazement: "Sister-in-law, your cooking skills are even better than those at Songbin Restaurant."
Su Yuhe smiled and said, "How can I compare to you? You just know how to say nice things to please people."
“It’s really delicious.”
Su Yuhe and Ye Yunshu smiled at each other and said to Ding Huai, "If it tastes good, eat more."
Ding Huai was really rude and ate two large bowls of rice, while his subordinates ate three bowls.
Support Su Yuhe with your own actions.
After dinner, Ding Huai was about to leave. After all, he came here because he really had something to do.
Su Yuhe nodded and walked the person out.
When she came back and was about to clean up the dishes, Ye Yunshu sent her to rest: "It must have been tiring to take a bumpy ride in the car and cook a meal. You look a little pale, go back to your room and rest."
Su Yuhe was overwhelmed with sleepiness and couldn't help yawning. Since Ye Yunshu said so, she simply went back to the room to rest.
Only after you have a good rest will you have the energy to deal with people, right?
Su Yuhe took a warm shower and changed into loose clothes. Perhaps she was really too tired, so she lay down on the kang and fell asleep in less than two minutes.
When Su Yuhe woke up again, she felt like she was still in a dream when she heard the sound of crickets outside. Then she heard two roosters crow.
She touched her watch and looked at it. It was almost five o'clock in the afternoon.
Soon the workers in the fields will be leaving work.
Su Yuhe felt very refreshed after a good night's sleep. She got up, changed her clothes and prepared to go out to find Gu Nanshan.
There was only the old lady at home, sitting under the eaves, fanning herself with a palm-leaf fan. When she saw Su Yuhe, she waved to her to come over.
Su Yuhe walked over, sat down on the small stool next to her, and massaged the old lady's legs: "What's wrong, Grandma?"
The old lady stopped fanning herself with her palm-leaf fan, rested her hands on her knees, and looked at Su Yuhe with a serious expression: "Tell me the truth, is there something wrong with Lin'er?"
