Chapter 574: Make an Appointment for a Medical Visit

On the sixth day of the New Year, Jiang Lin was going out and brought a bottle of wine with him.

The quality of that wine is quite high. Jiang Lin usually gives this kind of wine to Su Zeming.

Because Jiang Lin didn't have much of a drinking habit, Su Yuhe rarely saw Jiang Lin bringing alcohol with him when he ate with friends.

Her intuition told her that the person Jiang Lin was going to meet today was not ordinary, so Su Yuhe casually asked, "Who are you going out with today?"

Jiang Lin exclaimed, "It's that old Xu I met last time. His wife is celebrating her birthday and asked me to come. I figured I couldn't go empty-handed."

Su Yuhe glanced at Jiang Lin: "It's my wife's birthday, and you're giving her wine? My wife doesn't drink."

Su Yuhe's words made sense. Jiang Lin felt distressed. "What should I do? I don't know what to give."

"We have to get the wine too. As for the birthday boy, we can't ignore him either. Wait a minute."

Su Yuhe went back to the house and came out after a while with a rectangular box in her hand.

Jiang Lin paused, then recognized it: "Isn't this the one you bought from America?"

"Yes." Su Yuhe nodded. "I bought a few silk scarves and gave some away. The remaining one has never been opened. I just remembered and went to look for it. You can give it to Mrs. Xu."

"Okay." Jiang Lin smiled, "Wife, thanks to you."

When powerful people's families celebrate birthdays and hold banquets, they usually have social purposes.

Jiang Lin brought some things with him on purpose, probably because he wanted to make some connections.

Su Yuhe asked, "During the dinner on the second day of the Lunar New Year, you said it was the first time you met. How did he invite you?"

Jiang Lin replied lazily, "Your man is in Pengcheng now. He's quite famous after all. I saw him last time, and I'm in the capital. Is it abnormal to call him that?"

"It seems so."

Su Yuhe tied a tie for him. It was a cold day, but he wore a suit and tie underneath.

Jiang Lin, who has been in business for a long time, has become accustomed to dressing so formally.

Jiang Lin thought for a moment and said, "I wonder if they'll talk about Mrs. Xu. I asked someone last time, and Mrs. Xu is almost 30 this year, and Mr. Xu is also in his 30s. They've been married for many years, but they don't have any children."

Su Yuhe: "Did I ask you to take me there?"

"I didn't say anything. I don't know if I'll bring this up." Jiang Lin hesitated, "If I talk about you..."

Su Yuhe continued, "Speaking of me, please make an appointment. I will report to school after the Lantern Festival, or before the Lantern Festival."

Jiang Lin put his arm around Su Yuhe's shoulders, lowered his head and placed a kiss on her forehead: "Okay. Thank you for your hard work, my wife."

Lao Xu didn't really ask Jiang Lin to bring his partner.

But when Madam Xu saw Jiang Lin and saw that there was no one beside him, she asked casually, "Madam Jiang didn't come?"

Jiang Lin handed over the gift: "Happy birthday, Madam Xu. This is a silk scarf prepared by my wife. This is my first time visiting you, and I didn't want to bring her along for fear of being abrupt."

Mrs. Xu was a little surprised to receive the scarf. Her family was better off than Mr. Xu's, and Mr. Xu's current status was inseparable from the help of her family.

She saw the English on the box and was a little surprised: "Did you buy it at the Overseas Chinese Store?"

"I'm ashamed to say this," Jiang Lin said, seeming a little embarrassed. "I couldn't think of a gift, so I just wanted to go out with a bottle of wine. My wife heard that Mrs. Xu was celebrating her birthday and asked me to bring it. She brought it back from her studies in the United States."

Madam Xu glanced at Jiang Lin and said, "You are quite honest."

Lao Xu likes wine, and the wine Jiang Lin gave him is of great collection value, which just happens to suit his taste.

Mrs. Xu had inquired about Su Yuhe before, but she didn't hold out hope at first.

After all, she had seen famous doctors in big hospitals, but still couldn't get pregnant.

Su Yuhe is just a student, so she probably isn't very famous.

I didn't expect that after asking around, I actually found out something.

Su Yuhe is not only proficient in Western medicine, but also in Chinese medicine. He has treated some people in the circle before and the results were remarkable.

Mrs. Xu has been exposed to new-age thinking since she started her education, and has had little exposure to traditional Chinese medicine.

She has been seeing Western doctors for years. They examined her, gave her injections, and prescribed medicine, but never mentioned Chinese medicine.

Most Western doctors look down on Chinese medicine.

It is considered to be something without scientific basis.

Later, someone suggested to Mrs. Xu that she should see a Chinese doctor.

Due to special circumstances in the past few years, she couldn't find a Chinese doctor.

Traditional Chinese medicine has now been stripped of its "hat", but we haven't encountered any serious problems yet.

Mrs. Xu was almost in despair.

After finding out that Su Yuhe had outstanding performance in all aspects, Mrs. Xu really wanted to see Su Yuhe.

Last time we had dinner, Su Yuhe didn't agree, but judging by her expression, maybe there was a solution.

For this birthday celebration, it was Mrs. Xu who specifically reminded Mr. Xu to call Jiang Lin.

She thought Jiang Lin would bring Su Yuhe with him, but she didn't.

Just as Jiang Lin said, he is now quite famous in Pengcheng. Even if Mrs. Xu didn't remind him, Old Xu would call Jiang Lin.

Someone else came and called out "Lao Xu".

Lao Xu chatted with Jiang Lin casually for a few words, then hurried over to entertain the guests.

But Mrs. Xu was still there.

Jiang Lin didn't know whether to walk or stand.

However, Madam Xu didn't let Jiang Lin feel awkward for too long: "Go sit over there, I have something I want to talk to you about."

Jiang Lin didn't recognize any of the people around him, so he just said hello.

He vaguely guessed that Mrs. Xu wanted to talk to him.

But I didn't expect Mrs. Xu to be so direct. She said straight away that she wanted to see Su Yuhe.

Jiang Lin didn't answer immediately, but pondered for a while: "My wife currently doesn't have a license to practice law and is still studying."

Mrs. Xu thought Jiang Lin was going to refuse her again like he did that day. A flash of frustration crossed her face. She forced a smile and was about to speak when Jiang Lin spoke again.

"But my wife said that if Madam Xu mentioned it, she could show it to you, but she can't give too much guarantee."

Mrs. Xu didn't expect Su Yuhe to be able to guess this. She smiled sincerely and said, "You and your wife have such a good relationship. You always call me your wife."

Xia Yongsheng also attended this birthday party.

Xia Yongsheng didn't seem surprised to see Jiang Lin. He found Jiang Lin with a somewhat apologetic look on his face and talked about the last time he had dinner at Quanjude.

"I drank a little too much that day. I'm sorry, brother. I hope I didn't cause you and your sister-in-law any trouble."

Jiang Lin said no, and did not mention that he had an appointment with Mrs. Xu to see a doctor. He just changed the subject and talked about something else.

The appointment with Mrs. Xu is on the tenth day.

Mrs. Xu wanted to come earlier, but there were many relationships to maintain at home during the New Year, so she could only wait until the tenth day.

The meeting place was agreed to be at Xu’s house, in the family compound.

It’s not the same family compound as Su Zeming’s. This one has mostly people from the political world, while Su Zeming’s is from the military.

On the tenth day of the first lunar month, Jiang Lin had not yet gone to Pengcheng. He was in the capital with Tan Hongren to set the factory's tasks for this year, as well as some other miscellaneous matters.

Once this is handled, I won't have to worry about the capital this year.

He came to Xu's house with Su Yuhe.

Lao Xu went to work.

There are only Mrs. Xu and an aunt at home.

The house is quite spacious, but less popular.
