Chapter 639: Breaking the Window Paper

How about eating just the cookies?

Ye Yunshu cooked an egg soup for Su Yuhe to drink.

After the meal, Su Yuhe felt much better in her stomach and more energetic.

The phone at home rang.

Sun Chang was about to go over to take it, but was stopped by Ye Yunshu.

Ye Yunshu glanced at Su Yuhe: "I guess it was Brother Lin who called back. He called back once around five o'clock, but I didn't wake you up."

Su Yuhe nodded, stood up and answered the phone. It was really Jiang Lin.

Jiang Lin heard Su Yuhe's listless voice and felt sorry for her: "I'm sorry for what happened to the teacher. I heard from my mother that you slept all afternoon. How are you feeling now?"

"Much better. I just ate a lot."

Jiang Lin really wanted to hug Su Yuhe, but the conditions did not allow it: "I will go back to the capital to accompany you to relax after a while."

Su Yuhe couldn't help but laugh: "How can I have time to relax now? Don't worry too much. I'm fine. Senior Brother Xue has been with the teacher for so many years and has a deep relationship with him, but he still has to go on the operating table, right? I've had enough time to rest, there's no need to be so pretentious."

Before Jiang Lin could say anything, Su Yuhe asked him, "What are you doing back in the capital?"

It's not the New Year or any other festival.

"Oh. Actually, I'm going back to Dajiang Village."

Su Yuhe was puzzled: "What are you going back for?"

Jiang Lin smiled and reminded Su Yuhe: "I rented a piece of land on the mountain to grow medicinal herbs. Now there are many that can be harvested. I have to go back and find a sales channel."

Su Yuhe didn't know what to do so she didn't express any opinion, but Jiang Lin's return to Dajiang Village made Su Yuhe's previous thoughts come to mind again.

Su Yuhe wanted to bring Shi Kangyuan and the others to live in the capital.

She expressed her thoughts.

Jiang Lin pondered for a moment: "Didn't we say before that they didn't want to come? Are you sure they will come this time?"

"Do we have to give it a try? I think I'm willing to come this time." Su Yuhe wasn't sure, but she insisted, "I'll give them a call and ask."

In recent years, there has been a new private convenience store in the village.

The boss also provided a phone so I could call back, but of course both calls and answers cost money.

When Su Yuhe called home that day, no one was at home. No one knew where Yinu and Dandan had gone. All they knew was that Shi Kangyuan had finished collecting the herbs and couldn't stay idle, so he carried his backpack up the mountain.

Su Yuhe couldn't get through, and she was busy afterwards and didn't have the right time to call.

Thinking that it wouldn't be too late to wait for Jiang Lin to come back, Su Yuhe was no longer anxious.

After working until midnight for several days in a row and attending countless surgeries, she felt like a donkey! Before she could even take off her sweat-soaked surgical gown, her vision went black. Finally, she held on and sat down on the floor, leaning against the wall.

Xia Hongju happened to come over and was shocked when she saw this scene: "Ouch! Yuhe, what happened to you?"

As she spoke, she came over and helped Su Yuhe up.

I have seen doctors who were exhausted, but this is the first time I have seen an assistant like Su Yuhe so exhausted.

Xia Hongju even closed the door: "Don't let anyone see it, or someone will say you're being pretentious."

Su Yuhe tugged at her dry lips, still feeling a slight pain: "I just had surgery, so I think I have a bit of hypoglycemia."

Why did Xia Hongju feel a little bit unbelievable: "You were never like this before."

"Maybe it's because I'm old, or maybe I've had too many surgeries recently."

"Indeed, you're Director Xue's first assistant now, and you perform a lot of surgeries!" Xia Hongju smiled. "It takes three or four years to go from a resident physician to passing the assessment and becoming a chief resident physician. If you keep working at this level, you might be a chief resident physician in two years."

Su Yuhe: "It's not that easy. Get me some water."

"Oh." Xia Hongju recognized which one was Su Yuhe's water cup, opened it and let her drink some water.

"Are you free tonight?" Xia Hongju asked.

Su Yuhe glanced at Xia Hongju, then looked down at her phone: "It's already past eleven at night. Why don't you go back to sleep when you have time?"

"Ah," Xia Hongju slapped her forehead, "Look at my memory! I thought this was a day shift, and I bumped into you on my night shift. So when are you free?"

Su Yuhe thought for a moment and said, "The night after tomorrow, my shift ends at five in the afternoon."

Xia Hongju also thought about her own shift: "I think I'm free too, I wonder if Zhou Jiaming is free."

Su Yuhe's eyebrows twitched. "Why do you want him to be free? Are you planning to make it public? Are you going to treat me to a meal?"

Xia Hongju blushed and glanced at Su Yuhe shyly: "You know it."

Su Yuhe curled her lips and said, "I'm already a mother, you two can't hide that at all. I'm just waiting to see when you guys will break that window paper."

She asked curiously, "So when did you expose it? And who was the first to say it? You two were like enemies before, always arguing with each other and ready to fight!"

"Hey! Why are you talking about this?"

Xia Hongju looked away uncomfortably.

Su Yuhe pushed Xia Hongju and said, "Why are you still shy with me? Tell me now. I want to know."

Xia Hongju stood up and said, "I'll tell you next time. I haven't finished my shift yet."

Su Yuhe grabbed Xia Hongju and said, "Don't even think about leaving. You just said you were also off work late. You want to hide? No way!"

Xia Hongju's ears turned red. "Oh! Anyway, they got together just like that. As for who took the initiative, it must have been him! How could I, a girl, take the initiative?"

"When?"

Xia Hongju thought for a moment and said, "Just when you guys came back from Guangzhou last time."

Su Yuhe paused. Zhou Jiaming was quite fast.

They confirmed their relationship right after returning from Guangzhou. Su Yuhe thought of what she had said to Zhou Jiaming, and suddenly felt that Zhou Jiaming's enlightenment was inseparable from her contribution!
