Chapter 5

Jin Chu once again stared at the unconscious man in amazement.

What happened? What did I do? I didn't do anything, did I? Did I scare this guy into unconsciousness?

Jinchu touched his face. Is it that scary?

He was both angry and worried about this guy. He used limited means to find the cause and finally found that this guy must have been knocked unconscious by his mental power.

Humans are so fragile that they can't even handle this little bit of mental strength!

But after all, he was the one who knocked the person unconscious, so Jin Chu hesitated and finally took out a petal.

This is the petal that withered after his incident. It was originally glowing white, but now it is a little dry and a little yellow. However, in Jin Chu's eyes, it is still the cutest petal in the world.

As a flower demon born with both powerful mental power and physical strength, he can say without exaggeration that his whole body is a treasure. Compared with a total of twelve thousand leaves, the thirteen petals are naturally much more precious.

Moreover, compared to leaves that can only heal the body, petals can heal the spirit. Jinchu didn't quite understand the details, but his inherited memories told him that the petals would be good for this man. But should he give it to him or not?

Give, don’t give, give, don’t give…

Jin Chu was covering his chest, feeling conflicted and distressed, when suddenly, a shrill and frightened cat cry of "Meow--" was heard from afar. Jin Chu was startled and stopped worrying. He quickly collected the petals, stood up and ran towards the place where the sound came from, and disappeared in an instant.

Jinchu quickly found the giant cat. It was lying beside a pit, meowing and looking down.

Seeing that it was fine, Jin Chu breathed a sigh of relief, walked to its side and looked down, and immediately understood.

Below was a lava pool, the red lava was rolling, the heat wave was blowing in the face, and a black ball was being slowly swallowed by the lava. Jin Chu just happened to see the last glimpse of it.

"You kicked that thing in." Jin Chu said after a moment of silence.

"Meow meow." - I didn't mean to do that. I rolled in accidentally.

The giant cat also knew that it was in trouble. It cried pitifully with its chin pressed to the ground, its ears and whiskers drooped, and its big eyes tried to blink out a few tears.

Jin Chu puffed up his cheeks and said anxiously, "But that thing isn't mine." What if that thing is very important to that guy? He just knocked him out, and now he's lost his things. That guy is so fragile, what if he faints again after hearing this news?

"Meow..." The giant cat lowered its face and covered its head with its two front paws.

Jinchu couldn't bear to say anything to it when he saw it like this. "It's okay." He stroked its thick fur. "You didn't mean it. When he wakes up, I'll ask him if that thing is important."

At this point, his eyes suddenly became dead, and he forgot that he couldn't understand what the man said, and it seemed that the man couldn't communicate with him through mental power either.

What the hell are you asking?

"Huh?" Jin Chu's attention was suddenly attracted by the lava pool. This lava pool was too hot. He didn't like hot places, so he had never been here and didn't know what was going on here. But now he saw the red lava below rolling and bubbling.

Jinchu was surprised. What's this for?

He didn't like the very hot lava, but he was not afraid. He opened his eyes wide and looked down. The giant cat also raised its face and looked at him curiously.

The molten lava was seen churning, as if it knew it was being watched, becoming more and more excited. Two "tentacles" dripping with molten lava suddenly stretched out from the pool, holding a soft, bright red and yellow object on top. It was stretched and stretched, then folded several times and placed on a wide board formed by the molten lava. Then the two large tentacles pounded it wildly with a clanging sound, and the folded object was pounded into a thin and wide shape.

The big tentacle grabbed it again, pulled it, washed it in the lava, folded it up, put it on the board and beat it again.

The man and the cat stared at it with their eyes fixed on it, extremely curious but not surprised. Jin Chu knew that this might be because the magma had also developed intelligence.

This wasn't surprising. Old things could become intelligent and spirit-like. Jinchu had even seen a large rock grow legs and run around. So, what was so strange about molten lava growing a few tentacles? He just wanted to see what the molten lava was up to.

He saw this action repeated many times, and the soft red object was being beaten smaller and smaller. He vaguely understood that the molten lava was not beating the black and sticky thing just now?

After a long time, the beating finally ended, and only a small piece was left, which was beaten into a leaf shape, and the molten tentacles became pointed and scratched on it.

Finally, everything was over. The magma tentacles grew longer and longer, and grew to a pool of water in the distance. When the thing was put into the water, there was a sizzling sound, and steam came out. Together with the magma tentacles, the water in the pool was almost scalded dry. After that, the tentacles fished the thing out and placed it in front of Jin Chu in a flattering manner.

Jin Chu looked down and saw that it was a very shiny silver-white object, made into the shape of a leaf, only half the size of his palm. It was surprisingly similar to his own leaf, with veins marked on it, but the whole leaf was a little flat.

"For me?" Jin Chu asked. Then, realizing that the magma couldn't understand him, he used his mental power to communicate with it.

The magma emits emotions of joy and affirmation. It has just given birth to wisdom and does not know how to express its thoughts.

Jin Chu was very happy. He picked up the leaf, which was still hot, very heavy and hard. He tried very hard but couldn't leave any mark on it.

In fact, all newly born intelligent creatures on this planet would give him some gifts. I don’t know who started it, but this is the first time he gave him something he made himself.

Jinchu's previous bad mood was swept away, and he smiled and said, "Thank you!"

The tentacle sticking out of the molten lava bent, as if it wanted to come over and rub against him, but was afraid of burning him, so it stopped hesitantly.

Jinchu waved goodbye to it and returned to the valley. Seeing the unconscious person there, he felt a little tired again.

Fortunately, this time Ye Ruisheng only slept for one night before waking up.

This time Jinchu learned his lesson and stopped getting close to him. He was very careful in everything he did, fearing that he would suddenly faint again.

The way they get along can actually be described in one word - awkward.

Ye Ruisheng: "What's your name?"

Jinchu: I don’t understand, what is he saying?

Ye Ruisheng: "Is there anyone else here besides you?"

Jinchu: If you don’t understand, just ignore it.

Ye Ruisheng: "Your cat is very majestic."

Jinchu: If you don’t understand, just smile at this time.

Ye Ruisheng: "Let's eat grilled fish, do you want some?"

Jinchu: I don't understand. What is he going to do? Why is he going into the river? Is he going to drown himself? Why is he holding a pitchfork? Oh, he's going to catch fish.

Ye Ruisheng finally caught a fish on his third attempt. Before he could lament that his strength had regressed to the point where he was not even as strong as an ordinary person, a thin vine was lifted up from the water with one, two, three... seven or eight big, fat fish tied to it. A young man with light green eyes stood beside him expressionlessly, holding the vine and silently handed it to him.

Ye Ruisheng: "...Thank you."

Jinchu: Do these two sounds mean "thank you"? They sound a bit like what I say. I'm a little happy.

He sat aside and watched the man busy himself, watched him take great pains to build a fire, watched him use a small stone to scrape the scales of the fish and kill the fish.

Jin Chu didn't understand why humans had to go through so much trouble to eat, but from the inherited memory about humans, it seemed that humans were really particular about food. He looked around and found that he didn't have any tools on him. He never used that thing, so he handed over the freshly picked leaf. It was quite sharp and more useful than a stone.

Ye Ruisheng didn't understand what it meant and reached out to take it. Then the silver leaf, which didn't look delicate but looked like a silverware, fell into his hand. He was caught off guard and his hand fell to the ground with a bang.

Ye Ruisheng's face twisted.

So heavy!

My hands are swollen!

Jin Chu watched silently, silently giving him a look that was hard to describe. He had a new understanding of how useless this man was.

Ye Ruisheng: No, I’m not…

Finally, Jinchu helped to clean up all the fish. While Ye Ruisheng was grilling the fish, he looked a little embarrassed and tried to find a topic to talk about. "Let's talk, shall we? I heard your accent before, it seems to be the old imperial language. If you speak slowly, I should be able to understand some of it."

He has a gentle voice, a mature and handsome appearance, and a sincere expression. At first glance, he is the kind of person who is very trustworthy and easy to get along with. If he deliberately asks questions, he can get out a lot of secrets.

In the past, he was the only one who had a cold face and ignored others, but now he tried to find topics in a nice voice. If those people saw him, they would probably be shocked.

However, he chose the wrong person and was destined to be talking to a deaf ear.

Jinchu: So what's he talking about? Can't he just keep quiet? This is going to be really awkward, okay? I was hoping he'd wake up so I could ask him where he came from, who he is, and what his name is. But now it seems like he might as well just stay asleep. This is so awkward, someone help me?

Ye Ruisheng: You are ignoring me again. I feel so tired. Forget it. Let’s eat fish.

Jin Chu, who refused to speak, said: In front of an authentic human being, speaking a self-taught and very unauthentic human language, how shameless of you, right?
