Chapter 51

Jinchu knew nothing about the outside world. At first, all his thoughts were on Guoguo, and then he didn't know when, he was immersed in the whole harmonious and subtle state and knew nothing.

From the moment the moon rises, to the moment it reaches the zenith, to the moment before it sets, there is a slight click, and the stem of the green-skinned fruit suddenly cracks open.

With a crackling sound, the fruit suddenly fell from the branch. The ground happened to be a little sloped, so it rolled far away and rolled into a small concave pit. When it was about to roll out of the pit, it did not have enough power and slid back.

It rolled up and down in this small pit, and finally, after a while, it stopped trembling at the bottom of the pit.

It seemed that the whole fruit was dizzy from rolling, and it took a while to recover. It moved its body left and right to shake off the dirt and sand on the green skin, then slowly raised its round body, as if trying to determine the direction, and finally rushed towards the direction of its father!

It grunted and rolled to the edge of the pit, then suddenly, with no strength left, it rolled back and fell to the bottom of the pit.

After slowing down for a while, it started climbing up again with a groaning sound. It climbed and climbed until it ran out of strength halfway and rolled back.

It repeated this many times before falling back to the bottom of the pit. It lay there dazed and bewildered, looking at the not-too-high slope of the pit, then at itself. It was round and smooth, without even a hair. The top of its head, where it had once been connected to the fruit stem, was completely severed, leaving only a mark, without even a small branch.

I don’t know whether it was shocked by the horrible fact that it had no hands or feet, or was hit by the tragic experience of falling into the bottom of a pit and unable to climb out when it was born, but this big fruit that looked like a small green melon trembled all over and actually started to cry.

This "嘤嘤嘤" is really "yingyingying (one sound)", and the pronunciation is very standard, low and weak, with a vibrato, which is particularly pitiful and miserable. There is obviously no mouth, and no one knows where the sound comes from.

Awakened by the sound, Jinchu's branch floating in the air stopped for a moment, and it curled back to look towards the central branch. Finally, it was shocked to find that it was empty, and then it frantically looked everywhere for the disappeared green fruit.

Soon, the branches discovered Guozi shivering at the bottom of the pit and formed a circle around it. Then the branches disappeared, and Jinchu, who had transformed into a human form, squatted at the edge of the pit. He looked at the little thing below with wide green eyes, "Guozi! Why are you here?"

"Oh, oh, oh!" Seeing his father, Qingguozi cried even louder, jumping up and down at the bottom of the pit. Jinchu reached out and took it out, brushed off the dirt on it, and happily held it in his arms, looking left and right. It was so big, so round, and so bright. It was worthy of being his Guoguo, so beautiful!

But: "When did you fall?"

"Boo, boo, boo!" the fruit complained. "You didn't even know I fell. Where's the fatherly love you promised me? Where's the long-awaited moment of my birth?"

Jinchu could vaguely understand what Guoguo meant, but he didn't understand it clearly. He scratched his head and said guiltily, "Well, I was distracted. Sorry."

"But you ran to stay in this pit as soon as you were born. You must like this pit very much, right?" Jin Chu looked at Guoguo in his arms, then at the small pit that was just barely acceptable. He decided to fulfill his baby's wish. He held Guoguo in his hands and put it back into the small pit. "Then this will be the place where you were born for the second time!"

“???” Guozi stayed stupidly at the bottom of the pit, looking at his father’s face which looked too young. The only word missing from the smooth peel was “confused”.

Jinchu grinned kindly, his little front teeth shining, and with a clasp of his hands, he scattered the fine soil on the edges onto the green fruit.

Guozi: “!!!”

Ye Ruisheng slowly opened his eyes. The waves of mysterious power in the air had disappeared. He stood up and looked at his hands. A powerful force was flowing through his body. He had not felt such a powerful and fulfilling feeling since the accident three and a half years ago.

He raised his head and looked at the unknown place deep in the jungle, the direction from which the mysterious power came, and took a step forward.

"Roar--" A huge creature covered with pitch-black scales slowly stood up in front of him. Its scales were black before, but now, after most of the night had passed, they had turned shiny black, emitting a cold glow. Its body was also a circle larger than before, and its bright yellow eyes revealed a ferocious look.

Obviously, it had also benefited greatly from the mysterious power in the middle of the night.

As this big guy woke up, other wild beasts around him also woke up. The big guy raised his head and let out a heavy and majestic roar. The birds flew away in fright, and the beasts that could not fly away, whether they were hairy or hairless, or had scales, all responded to show their submission.

The big guy turned his head, and his buttery, lightbulb-like eyes looked at the only thing that did not express submission, the skinny, weak, and most hated two-legged beast?

Ye Ruisheng looked at this giant who was taller than two of himself, and felt the murderous intent rising from it. He quickly scanned every part of its body and smiled faintly: "Hello."

The big guy's throat was buzzing, and the other beasts turned to Ye Ruisheng and slowly surrounded him. Suddenly, several beasts jumped up and pounced on Ye Ruisheng.

Ye Ruisheng's eyes lit up, as if several invisible glares were thrown out. The beasts suddenly flew out, rolled a few times on the ground, crawled back whimpering, and looked at Ye Ruisheng with eyes full of fear.

Ye Ruisheng slowly retracted his mental tentacles, and the next moment he suddenly released more, like a cannonball dropped on the ground, the air wave shook the surrounding beasts and all the grass and trees were blown away. The big guy in front was also pushed several meters away, leaving several deep grooves on the ground.

Ye Ruisheng's hair, neither too long nor too short, was blown by the wind, and his clothes also fluttered slightly. He stared at the big guy in front of him with a dark and calm gaze: "Get out of the way."

Handfuls of dirt were scattered on the green-skinned fruit, and it seemed as if it was about to be completely buried. The big fruit finally woke up, shook left and right hurriedly, shook off the dust, and jumped three feet high as if to jump out.

However, while still in mid-air, a pair of hands grabbed him and said, "Hey, where are you going?"

Jinchu looked at his Guoguo in surprise. It was still struggling desperately to run away, but unfortunately it didn't have the strength to even roll out of the small pit. In front of Jinchu, it was just playing with him. So Jinchu came to the conclusion: "Naughty."

He said earnestly, "I'm telling you, the sooner you plant it, the sooner it will grow. The sooner it grows, the sooner it will grow up. Once it becomes a human, there will be a lot of fun to do and a lot of delicious food to eat."

With his teaching, Guoguo will be able to transform into a real human form sooner, without having to take so many detours and eat so many delicious foods like him.

As he spoke, he dug the small hole and buried the fruit in it.

Then he let go of the fruit and it ran out again as if for its life.

Isn't it said that the power of survival is powerful? The fruit, which had been unable to get out of the pit, suddenly rolled out at such a speed that it became a shadow. Of course, it was intercepted by Jin Chu without any surprise.

A branch wrapped around the fruit quickly retracted and turned back into Jinchu's left hand. The fruit was held in his hand and could not escape. In the end, it could only cry again, and the crying became louder and louder, like a dry howl.

Jin Chu was dumbfounded: "Why are you crying? No, how are you crying?" He finally realized the problem. He turned the phone over and over again, but couldn't figure out where the "嘤嘤嘤" came from. He remembered that when he was still a fruit, he couldn't make any sound.

He put his ear against the peel and said, "Wow——" Well, "嘤嘤嘤" turned into "哇哇哇", and his ears were almost deafened.

He was at a loss as to what to do with Guoguo's incessant howling, and he almost wondered if there was a doll with a huge voice inside. "Okay, okay, you don't like this pit, do you? I'll change it for you, okay? A bigger, more comfortable one, filled with layer after layer of the darkest, richest, softest soil."

The fruit paused for a moment, then continued to howl even louder. It didn't want to be buried! It didn't want to stay in the pit!

Jinchu felt a headache and patiently explained to it, "But we all have to do this to grow." He paused, glanced at it, and bluffed, "If you don't bury it in the soil, it'll be fine for a while, but over time your skin will turn yellow and black, become wrinkled, and the whole fruit will become soft and droopy, and eventually rot."

Guoguo didn’t know if she was scared, her voice became softer: “Oh, oh, oh.” Really?

Jinchu said seriously: "Really!"

This is what ordinary fruits look like. They look ugly when they rot.

As for whether the same would happen to Guoguo, he really didn't know. After all, this fruit only appeared once every thousand years, and none of the ancestors with vague faces in the inherited memory would be willing to let their fruit rot.

Of course, not every fruit is that difficult to deal with right after it falls from the branch. Most of them have no consciousness of their own and are very close to the soil. When they fall to the ground, they will instinctively burrow into the soil.

Jinchu himself is like this. In his memory, he was the one who burrowed into the soil. To him, the soil was like home and support. It was the most comfortable and favorite place.

But Guoguo was very different from him. Could it be because she had half human genes? Jinchu thought gloomily, it was all Ye Ruisheng's fault!

Just as I thought of Ye Ruisheng, I heard fluctuations of mental power, roars of wild beasts and sounds of fighting from afar.

Jin Chu looked up and glanced in that direction. He didn't have time to pay attention to the noise. He was thinking about how to convince Guoguo.

The big cat, who was still lying there and sleeping soundly, was awakened by the shaking of the earth. It stood up dissatisfiedly, meowed in a hoarse and low voice, and stomped its paws on the ground. What was it making so much noise in the middle of the night?

The claws stomped on the ground so hard that it shook violently, completely silencing the sounds of fighting in the distance. The big cat also stomped itself awake, shook its head, and came to Jin Chu, looking at the fruit with him.

It shrunk itself and turned into a half-grown orange cat. It jumped onto Jinchu's arm, carefully touched the fruit with its claws, and called out in a delicate voice, "Meow."

Huahua, your fruit is so small.

"It's still young now, but it will grow up soon!" Jinchu defended his child. Seeing that Guoguo no longer resisted, he tentatively placed it in the pit and carefully sprinkled soil on it. "Be good, I'll water you later. You will feel very comfortable. I will stay here with you forever!"

Guozi squatted there, whimpering softly. He didn't want to run anymore, but he looked so depressed that his skin was dull and looked extremely pitiful.

Jinchu felt a little distressed. Should he wait a little longer? Or should he go back to Belfield? This place really wasn't a particularly good place.

He sighed helplessly, and when he was about to carry Guoguo out, Guoguo suddenly felt something, his green skin suddenly lit up, and then he jumped up and flew out.

Jin Chu looked over and saw a tall figure walking out of the dark jungle. Guozi rushed towards him and his head dived into his arms.

It was like seeing a savior.

"Ohhh! Ohhh!" She also made all kinds of accusations and acted like a spoiled child.

Jinchu: ...The smile gradually disappeared.
