Even Mu Nanxun has moments when he says one thing but means another.
"Although I look like you now, I am still a fox. Dudu, Yu'er, and I are the same kind. Although your human world is wonderful, with lots of delicious food and fun things to do, you still miss the place where I truly grew up sometimes after you've had your fill of fun."
"If Dudu and Yu'er are with me, I feel like I still have a little sense of belonging. But if they're not here, I feel all alone in a world that doesn't belong to me."
"You won't be all alone, you have me."
Mu Nanxun felt the softest spot in his heart touched by Yi Yi. He gently embraced her and planted a deep kiss on her forehead.
...
Three days later, Yi Yi arrived at the Bihai Club as promised.
The club was glittering and filled with shouts of "Go! Go!" and cheers.
However, what Yi Yi didn't expect was that there was also a quiet spot in the club—a small café on the second floor. Although it wasn't large, the environment was excellent, isolating it from the noise of the first floor. Looking out the window, you could see Central Park across the street, making it a great place for taking photos.
Last time I came here to win prize money in a competition, and I didn't have the mind to appreciate the scenery. This time I'm much more relaxed.
She was personally received by the black man.
He had promised Blackie that he would come back to visit often after the competition and occasionally play a match or two. However, since then, Yi Yi has never returned.
"Yi Yi, did you all come here together to play a match here? How about tonight? I can arrange the venue right now!"
The black man was a little excited.
Yi Yi followed behind the black man somewhat embarrassedly, fidgeting for a while before replying, "No, we just came to have some coffee, hehe."
"Coffee..." Blackie's smile froze on his face as he led Yi Yi around a corner and into a private room.
"Coffee, coffee is fine too. Even though this is a club, the coffee here is pretty good. That explains why you guys arranged to meet me here. It's just a bit of a shame, though. You have no idea about those bastards, they're always nagging me, asking when you're going to play again. I'm getting so annoyed!"
"If I have the chance, I'd still be willing to go on stage," Yi smiled.
Blackie waved his hand, "Alright, that's a story for later. Look, we're here, they're inside."
As Yi looked up, the words "Wilderness Jungle" appeared before her eyes; it was the name of the private room.
After saying goodbye to Brother Hei, Yi pushed open the door and went inside.
Chen Dudu and Yu'er waited by the window; their coffee had already been ordered and placed on the table.
What first caught her eye was the layout of the private room.
Dense green bushes, deliberately designed uneven pools, soft mud, and many realistic animal models. It truly lives up to its name, "Wild Jungle."
Yi stepped barefoot on it; it was cool and soft, just like being back in the jungle.
Yu'er waved to her, "Yi Yi, come here!"
Yi walked over and sat down next to Yu'er, opposite Chen Dudu.
Chen Dudu lowered her head and didn't say anything, creating a slightly awkward atmosphere.
Yi looked around and, trying to make conversation, said, "The place you found is nice; it feels a lot like home."
"Do you miss home?" Chen Dudu looked up at her, her eyes full of questions.
Yi nodded. "Mm."
"Since you miss home, let's go back. Today is the day."
