Then, a jug made of datura flowers and leaves, filled with clean, clear water, was handed between them.
Subordinate A didn't even look at who was handing him the water, quickly snatched it, gulped down several large mouthfuls, then wiped his mouth contentedly, grinned at the person behind him who had given him the water, and said, "Thanks!"
"You're welcome. Would you like some more? Are you tired? Would you like to rest for a bit? I'll help you with the rest."
The fair-skinned girl smiled sweetly, her bright eyes sparkling and dazzling.
Subordinate A waved his hand and said politely, "No need, we'll do it ourselves."
"No, you're so sleepy, you should rest for a while and get a good night's sleep." The girl rested her chin on her hand, staring at him with a sincere and kind expression.
"Who said I was sleepy? I'm not sleepy at all... no..."
At this point, A unconsciously let out a big yawn, a wave of weariness washing over him.
That's strange. I was just feeling a little tired a moment ago, but now I'm sleepy all of a sudden.
"Are you sleepy? Go to sleep if you're sleepy, you're quite tired," the girl "kindly" advised.
"I'm not...not...not sleepy..." A finally realized something was wrong, pointing at Yi Yi who was squatting in front of him with an innocent smile, "You...you gave me...you gave me something to drink..."
Before he could finish a sentence, A yawned again, his eyelids grew heavy, and he finally couldn't help but fall to the ground and fall fast asleep.
When B saw that A had suddenly fallen asleep, he realized that there was something wrong with the water A had just drunk. Fortunately, he hadn't drunk it.
"You're dead meat! You dare to cause trouble? I'll teach you a lesson!"
B, looking fierce, rolled up his sleeves, ready to settle scores with Yi Yi. Yi Yi grinned, "Don't rush, you're sleepy too. Why don't you take a nap first?"
"Hmph, don't try that, I'm not falling for it. There was something wrong with that water, wasn't there? I didn't drink a single drop!"
As he spoke, B pounced on Yi Yi triumphantly.
Yi smiled and pursed her lips. Just as B lunged at her, the poisoned needle in her hand accurately pierced his throat.
"I told you you were sleepy, but you didn't believe me. Go get some sleep."
So, B swayed unsteadily, made two thuds, and lay down on the ground, fast asleep.
"Done!"
Yi clapped her hands. These two idiots, so stupid, yet they try to be someone's lackeys. Have they received any proper training? Did they pass the assessment? Do they even have certificates?
Really...
After discovering the footprints and poisoned needles by the pool, Yi followed the footprints all the way here. From afar, she saw those two fools tying Mao Mao up with vines and about to hang it from a tree to slowly torture it.
Although she wasn't without a chance of winning against two opponents, she would be in trouble if they used Mao Mao to threaten her.
She hadn't thrown away the poisoned needles yet. So Yi Yi came up with a plan: she found some water and rinsed several of the needles vigorously to make sure the anesthetic was in the water. She then temporarily hid the remaining needle between her fingers.
Later, she knocked out those two idiots in two moves.
"Mao Mao..."
Yi stepped over the bodies of his two henchmen, untied the rattan binding Mao Mao, removed the poison needles from his legs and throat, and slapped his head hard.
"Mao Mao, wake up! It's me, Yi Yi. Can you hear me? Where's Mu Mu? Is he with you? Where is he? Take me to him!"
