As soon as he finished speaking, the old man strode out aggressively, with Mu Nanxun following behind.
Just when everyone in the Mu family thought that Mu Wenya had been kidnapped and almost the entire family was mobilized to prepare for a big fight with the bandits, Mu Wenya returned safely.
She was spotted by one of the men in black at the entrance of the Maple Waterfront Villa area, and then taken back to the villa.
Soon, all the men in black returned after receiving the message. Mu Nanxun and the old man also returned.
When Li Ma saw Mu Wenya return safely, she finally felt relieved and her heart was completely at ease. She squatted down in front of Mu Wenya, her eyes red from crying.
"Young Miss, it's all my fault, I lost you. Where did you go? I was so scared, I thought... I thought..."
"Alright, now that she's back safely, I won't say anything more. Be careful in the future, and don't leave the young lady alone." The old man was also quite startled, but thankfully it was just a false alarm.
Although Mu Wenya arrived home safely, she was somewhat dazed. Her family asked her questions several times, but she seemed not to hear them, and it took her a long time to come to her senses.
The old man assumed she had suffered some kind of shock and didn't ask any further questions. He dismissed the black-clad men and servants who were watching and returned to his room to rest early.
“Nanxun…” When most of the people had left, Mu Wenya suddenly looked at Mu Nanxun, seemingly wanting to say something but then stopping herself.
Mu Nanxun nodded in response, "Mm."
He knew Mu Wenya had something to say. She certainly didn't leave for no reason, heading across the street. Something or someone must have attracted her attention.
Over the years, it seems that only one person has been able to attract Mu Wenya and influence her mood.
After a while, Mu Wenya seemed to have mustered up her courage and asked him, "Do you think someone who has almost disappeared could suddenly reappear?"
Mu Nanxun knew who she was asking, but why would she suddenly ask this question? Was it because she saw something?
After a pause, Mu Nanxun gave his answer.
"I firmly believe that nothing in this world disappears without a reason, nor does anything suddenly appear out of nowhere."
Upon hearing this, Mu Wenya weakly tugged at the corners of her mouth, her smile devoid of any emotion. She opened her mouth and uttered two light words, "Right?"
I don't know whether I agree or disagree.

Ever since Mu Wenya almost got lost, the old man had tried to subtly ask her about it, but each time she gave vague answers and refused to say anything.
After a few times, the old man stopped asking about it.
But Mu Wenya seemed to have changed after that. She would often have Li Ma push her to the small street outside the villa area, where she would stare blankly at the opposite side of the street, sometimes for an entire afternoon. But no one knew what she was looking at.
The search for the masked man's identity continues, but with no progress.
Yi Yi's days at Fengqing Waterfront were peaceful and uneventful. Most of the time, she tended to the flowers and plants, or learned about high-tech products from the human world. When Mu Nanxun was not working, she would wander around with him, meet up with Ouyang, and eat and stroll together.
She hadn't seen Chen Dudu and Yu'er for a while, and every time she called to ask them out, they always made excuses about being too busy.
I wonder what they're busy with.
