"I'm so angry!"
Li Ma slammed her hand on the table, getting agitated, whenever she brought up recent events. She and Yi Yi were talking about this on a stone bench in the courtyard, discussing the gossip spread by those people.
"These blind fools, how can they just spout nonsense? They know nothing, and who knows where they heard it from? Aren't they afraid of biting off more than they can chew!"
"Forget it, Li Ma. People are naturally curious. The more you control them and forbid them from talking, the more they'll think there's something fishy going on, and the more they'll believe what they're saying is true."
Yi Yi seemed quite calm about this. Actually, she was angry at first, feeling wronged and infuriated that she was being blamed for things that weren't hers to do.
But she soon discovered that the more she acted like she cared, the more enthusiastically they talked. At first, they only whispered a few words behind her back, but later they even muttered a few words to her face. So she simply stopped arguing and pretended not to hear each time. This made them quickly lose interest.
"Young Madam, you're quite carefree." Li Ma thought Yi Yi was sometimes like a child, and other times as calm as someone who had seen through the world. She wondered if it was because she'd been with the young master for so long.
Yi Yi was scrolling through Weibo on her phone when she sensed that Li Ma was upset and knew that Li Ma was speaking up for her. So she put down her phone, took Li Ma's hand, and pulled her to sit down in front of her.
“Li Ma, don’t worry about it. Let them talk. It’s not like I’ll lose anything no matter what they say. They’ll get tired of these rumors after a while anyway. We don’t need to punish ourselves for their mistakes, don’t you think?”
"That's true, but the young mistress has always been so good to them, and these heartless bastards repay kindness with enmity. It's infuriating. I can't deal with them, but the young master certainly can. When he comes back, I'll tell him the truth and let him teach those wretches a lesson!"

When Yi Yi recalled the first time she met Mu Nanxun, he was like a block of ice, rarely smiling or even showing any expression.

"You want me to guess where you are? How would I know? You're probably on your way to some meeting or business negotiation again."
Yi propped her phone up on the stone table, rested her chin on her hands, and blinked as she watched the man in the video. He walked with a brisk pace, seemingly very fast.
What should I do? I really want to hug him and touch him.
When he was by her side, Yi Yi didn't feel anything. She was always annoyed that he would touch her inappropriately and that she could see him everywhere.
