The sun was shining brightly, casting a radiant glow on almost everyone's face, except for Liang Xunling, whose face was ashen.
She was utterly enraged and vented all her dissatisfaction on Li Qicheng and Zhong Jingyi.
"Li Qicheng, Zhong Jingyi, is this the good son you two raised?!"
Liang Xunling pointed at her third brother and sister-in-law, her fingers trembling uncontrollably from her anger.
Although what she said was unpleasant, at this moment, Zhong Jingyi was not angry at all. Instead, she felt a sense of relief, as if she had finally vented her anger.
"Does sister-in-law have any objections?" Zhong Jingyi's lips curled up slightly as she deliberately gave Liang Xunling a calm smile: "I think what our Xiao Jun said makes a lot of sense!"
I won't get angry when others do, because anger can make you sick and no one can take your place.
Zhong Jingyi's eyes curved slightly, with the outer corners naturally upturned, creating a distinctly pleasant arc.
She felt that she had raised a good son who could speak up for his parents and protect his younger sister. He was so sensible and well-behaved!
"Yes, I think that makes sense too."
Li Qicheng stood firmly beside Zhong Jingyi, putting his arm around his wife's shoulder, deliberately showing off their affection.
He smiled elegantly and politely reminded Liang Xunling, "Sister-in-law, Confucius said, 'You should not talk about strange phenomena, physical prowess, disorder, or spirits. If you believe, they exist; if you don't believe, they don't.' As long as you firmly believe that bad luck will never find you, maybe you won't be unlucky."
Respect is mutual.
Even though Liang Xunling is the eldest sister-in-law, if she doesn't have self-respect, she shouldn't blame others for not respecting her.
"Good! Very good! Excellent!"
Liang Xunling was so angry that her facial features were visibly distorted, and her back teeth were almost bitten off: "Your whole family is ganging up on me, is that it!"
Hearing Liang Xunling's accusations filled with endless resentment, the old master of the Li family couldn't help but say, "No one is bullying you. You're the one who's wasting your good life and insisting on stirring up trouble and making the family miserable."
The old man's face was etched with displeasure, and his eyes were filled with dissatisfaction as he looked at Liang Xunling. He said in a deep voice:
"You didn't want to come back to this house? Fine, I'll approve it right now. Starting today, you'll move out of the Li Family Manor and start your own household outside!"
The angry patriarch of the Li family, with an aura as strong as ever, successfully intimidated Liang Xunling. Her expression changed, and her eyes clearly showed panic.
"Dad, are you planning to kick out the entire eldest branch of the Li family just to favor the third son's family?"
As the eldest daughter-in-law of the eldest son's family, she always used this title to do whatever she wanted.
The old man of the Li family snorted coldly: "Don't try to pin this on me. I'm just kicking you out. If Qi Rui and the children want to continue living in the Li family manor, they can continue to live here. If they don't want to, then so be it."
After saying that, the old man ignored Liang Xunling and left in frustration.
The old man's word was his bond; almost no one could change his decisions.
Liang Xunling finally realized she had brought this upon herself and quickly said to the old lady of the Li family:
"Mom, are you just going to stand by and watch Dad treat our family like this?"
The old lady of the Li family favored the eldest son's family more, so at times like these, the only person Liang Xunling could rely on was the old lady.
But this time, even the old lady of the Li family couldn't stand it anymore.
“Eldest daughter-in-law, your father and I just want a happy family reunion. We have never had the idea of kicking anyone out of the Li family manor. You have gone too far and made your father angry.”
As she spoke, the old lady sighed deeply, sounding somewhat exasperated:
"Hey, why don't you stay outside for a while, calm down, and reflect on your actions!"
As soon as the words left her lips, the old lady turned and left, no longer wanting to pay attention to Liang Xunling.
The Li family, which originally only had many male descendants, finally had a delicate and sweet little princess, which should have been a cause for celebration for the whole family.
Liang Xunling was the only one who constantly found fault and complained, turning the house into a chaotic mess with no peace in sight.
Perhaps kicking her out of the Li family manor would be a good thing for the entire Li family.
For a time, Liang Xunling was all alone.
Li Qicheng and Zhong Jingyi exchanged a knowing glance, also unwilling to pay attention to this troublesome sister-in-law, and turned to leave.
"Zhong Jingyi, don't be too smug! You have two sons, and I have three. It's not certain who will be in charge of the Li family in the future!"
Liang Xunling suddenly called out to Zhong Jingyi's back, successfully causing Li Qicheng and Zhong Jingyi to stop in their tracks and turn around to look at her.
Liang Xunling inexplicably raised her chin arrogantly, head held high, maintaining her usual haughty demeanor, and said smugly:
“My sons are all outstanding and healthy, unlike your sons, one of whom is disrespectful to his elders and the other is weak and sickly. They may not amount to much. Moreover, my sons are all the eldest grandsons of the Li family, making their lineage even more legitimate.”
The eldest grandson of the main branch...
Upon hearing this term, Zhong Jingyi's lips unconsciously curled into a contemptuous smile. What era is this? This sister-in-law is still insisting on things like legitimate sons and grandsons, passing the throne to sons but not daughters.
They came from humble backgrounds and were deeply poisoned by the dregs of feudal society.
Zhong Jingyi was too lazy to argue with her. After all, they had different values and pursuits, and it was pointless to waste words on each other.
She doesn't expect her children to achieve anything great!
I just want to let things take their natural course; what is destined to be yours will be yours, and what is not, you shouldn't force.
