The next day, Liang Xunling moved out of the Li family manor in a fit of pique. She hoped to take all three of her sons with her, as if she thought that this would frighten the old master and old lady of the Li family and make them beg her to stay.
However, reality gave her a harsh slap in the face.
The eldest son, Li Muxing, and the third son, Li Muhao, were both unwilling to go with Liang Xunling, feeling that their mother was acting inexplicably.
Why do they have to cause trouble instead of enjoying a perfectly good life?
It was also because of Liang Xunling's constant antics that they, as brothers, felt somewhat ashamed in front of their other brothers.
Only the second son, Li Muchen, who also harbored prejudice against Xiao Xinyan, was willing to leave with his mother.
But when Li Muchen went back to his room to pack his luggage, Li Muxing and Li Muhao took advantage of his momentary lapse in attention. One of them physically restrained Li Muchen, while the other covered his mouth, dragging him into the small, dark room where they used to play hide-and-seek as children, and began to threaten him:
"If you dare to go with Mom, we brothers will be completely estranged from now on!"
The eldest brother, Li Muxing, looked serious and was not joking at all.
The third brother, Li Muhao, leaned close to Li Muchen's ear and whispered, "Second brother, if you continue to help Mom, I'll tell Grandpa all the things you did at school and let him punish you according to family rules!"
Holy crap! Are these two really his older and younger brothers?!
With his body restrained, his mouth covered, and unable to move or speak, Li Muchen could only try to widen his eyes in protest.
However, the protests continued indefinitely.
Li Muxing said in a serious tone, "If he doesn't say anything, we'll take that as his consent."
Li Muhao nodded in agreement: "Yes, what Big Brother said makes sense!"
Li Muchen: "..."
In the end, only Liang Xunling carried her luggage and reluctantly moved out of the Li family manor.
Just then, Li Qirui went on a business trip out of town, and no one in the Li family was willing to give her a way out. She could only suffer the consequences of her own actions.
At lunchtime, the Li Family Restaurant was filled with a joyful and harmonious atmosphere.
The Li family patriarch and patriarch, the second son Li Qiwen and his wife Liu Wanran, the third son Li Qicheng and his wife Zhong Jingyi, the seven Li family members, and the little baby Li Xinyan sitting in a high chair, all gathered together for a meal.
Grandpa Li stood up, picked up a piece of braised pork and put it into Xiao Xinyan's small bowl, and said kindly, "Yanbao, eat a piece of braised pork, and grow up to be plump and healthy."
The braised pork belly is a feast for the eyes, nose, and palate—and it's a huge piece!
It floated past the seven gourd brothers of the Li family and finally landed in the younger sister's bowl. The gourd brothers were so envious!
Tears were almost streaming from the corners of her mouth.
Grandpa was kinder to Yanbao than he was to all seven of them combined.
Not only Grandpa, but Grandma also got up to serve food to Xiao Yanbao, gently instructing, "Yanbao, eat a big shrimp. You need to eat eggs, milk, fish, and shrimp every day from now on. Only with a balanced diet can you grow tall."
"Thank you, Grandpa and Grandma!"
Xiao Yanbao thanked the old man and woman of the Li family, then stuffed all the braised pork and shrimp into her mouth with her chopsticks. Her cheeks were bulging out, making her look like a little pufferfish.
The little dumpling chewed a few times and said, somewhat unclearly, "The braised pork and shrimp are both so delicious!"
Her soft, babyish voice sounded even cuter.
She even smiled gently at her grandparents, her eyes crinkling slightly, looking soft, cute, and adorable.
She successfully melted everyone's hearts, making them smile knowingly.
Only Li Muchen rolled his eyes as if he couldn't stand it, muttering, "Acting cute is shameful! Don't think that just because you're cute you can make everyone like you. I don't like it at all."
After muttering to himself for a while, he forcefully shoveled the rice in his bowl a few times and ate several mouthfuls with a snarling sound.
Seeing that the old lady and her husband were only focused on feeding Yanbao, Zhong Jingyi smiled and advised, "Mom and Dad, don't just keep putting food on Yanbao's plate, you should eat too! I'll take care of Yanbao."
As she spoke, she prepared to feed Xiao Yanbao herself, but was stopped by the old man of the Li family in the next second.
The old man of the Li family looked at Xiao Xinyan with loving eyes and said to Zhong Jingyi, "You don't understand. Seeing Yanbao eating so happily makes me more satisfied than if I were eating happily myself!"
Grandma Li nodded in agreement, smiling kindly, "Your father is right. We're happy when Yanbao eats happily. Just watching Yanbao eat makes us full."
It's clear that the two elderly people really like Xiao Xinyan.
Because eyes don't lie; the way they looked at Xiao Xinyan was much gentler and more affectionate than the way they looked at the seven Calabash Brothers.
Just then, the second son, Li Muchen, couldn't help but say, "Then our family will be able to save a lot of food in the future."
His tone sounded somewhat sarcastic.
It successfully captured everyone's attention.
Sitting next to him, the third brother, Li Muhao, asked with some confusion, "Second brother, what do you mean by that?"
Li Muchen chuckled ambiguously and explained, "Didn't the old man and woman say they were full just watching that little girl eat? Then why don't the two old folks just stop eating altogether and just watch that little brat? If the two adults don't eat anything for three meals a day, wouldn't that save a lot of food?"
Not only was it sarcastic and strange, but it also carried an inexplicable resentment.
The eldest brother, Li Muxing, glared at him without realizing it, his expression instantly turning serious: "Second brother, how dare you talk like that? Are you asking for a beating again?"
