"Hey guys, let me take a group photo of you!"
As the sun was about to set, the young Taoist priest immediately suggested taking a group photo of Xiao Yanbao and the others. At the same time, another young Taoist priest, about fourteen or fifteen years old, ran out of the temple and said to the young priest:
"Junior Brother, hurry up and lead all the lay Buddhists to the dining room, or Senior Brother will scold you again!"
However, the young Taoist chuckled at the junior Taoist, completely unconcerned. The senior brother's scolding was nothing more than accusing him of playing games and neglecting his duties. But he would soon be leaving this place and heading to the capital, the largest city, to start his professional career. Once he won a trophy for the Taoist temple, he would see if the senior brother would still scold him.
"Ling Qi, from now on, Senior Brother won't be able to scold me anymore. I'm about to enter the mortal world!"
The one called Ling Qi was the youngest Taoist priest in the temple, and he had met Xiao Yanbao and Zhong Jingyi once before. When he heard his junior brother say that he was going to enter the mortal world, he was terrified, as if he was frightened by the other party's words.
The young Taoist priest called for Li Muxing and the others to take photos again. Li Muxing stood in the middle of the group with Xiao Yanbao in his arms. Li Muchen and Li Muhao also turned to the side, wanting to hold Xiao Yanbao with their older brother. However, Li Muxing pushed them away.
"You're all crowding Yanbao, move over a bit!"
When Li Muxing spoke, the brothers looked at him with resentment, and Li Mujun's eyes were almost murderous.
Just as his brothers looked reluctant, Xiao Yanbao laughed and shouted:
"I want to get down, I don't want to be held for photos!"
As Xiao Yanbao's shout rang out, the brothers stared intently at Li Muxing once again, their expressions conveying a clear message that they wanted Li Muxing to put Xiao Yanbao down quickly.
Li Muxing frowned as she looked at her younger brothers around her. She first snorted coldly, and then reluctantly put Xiao Yanbao on the ground.
Little Yanbao trotted to the front of the line, squatted down, and called out to his older brothers again:
"Hurry up and stand still! The sun will be setting soon!"
The young Taoist priest seized the opportunity to address the crowd:
Look here!
Before anyone could even adjust their expressions, the young Taoist priest immediately pressed the camera icon. In the photo, only Xiao Yanbao and Li Mulang had bright smiles on their faces, while the other brothers, except for Li Muxing, all had gloating expressions, and Li Muxing pouted with a resentful look on her face.
The young Taoist then had the brothers adjust their postures and positions, and took another group photo. Ling Qi, who was waiting nearby, immediately stepped forward and grabbed his junior brother's arm after everyone had finished taking the photo.
"Junior brother, you should go in quickly. Even if you want to go down the mountain to have fun, that will have to wait until later! Senior brother just checked your game playing records on the game box."
Holy crap!
"That sixth brother of the eldest brother actually knows how to download a game box to check my game records! This is simply intolerable!"
Just as the young Taoist priest finished speaking, a magnetic voice drifted from inside the Taoist gate.
"Ling Feng! What are you saying? Huh?"
So the young Taoist's name is Ling Feng? No wonder he's so fast at jungling; he must be associated with the wind element!
Li Muchen silently murmured Ling Feng's name in his heart, but Ling Feng's face instantly turned ashen after hearing his senior brother's signature magnetic voice.
"Greetings, Senior Brother!"
In just a moment, the Taoist Ling Feng had already put on a docile smile, and then looked at his senior brother who was walking out of the Taoist temple gate.
Ling Qi, who was standing to the side, also obediently called out "Senior Brother," but Senior Brother ignored the two of them and walked straight to Xiao Yanbao.
"Laymen, please follow me to the kitchen for your meal. There may be thunderstorms later, so please eat and rest early!"
Xiao Yanbao looked at the senior disciple of Cangxia Temple with some confusion. Wasn't there a sunset? Seeing that his older brothers also had some doubts about the thunderstorm the senior disciple had mentioned, he immediately spoke up:
"Hello, Senior Brother! Isn't it said that a red sky at morning means sailors take warning, and a red sky at night means sailors' delight? I remember that's what our teacher taught us. Isn't that a red sky at night? Why would there be a thunderstorm?"
Seeing the group of children looking at him with confusion, the eldest brother smiled silently, then patted his two junior brothers, Ling Feng and Ling Qi, with a flick of his sleeve.
"You all go to the kitchen and help tidy up. I'll take these lay Buddhists there slowly."
Seeing that his senior brother did not blame him, Ling Feng grabbed Ling Qi and ran into the Taoist temple without even turning back to greet his newly acquainted buddy, Li Muchen.
It's clear that Ling Feng is terrified of this senior brother, so he's extremely obedient in front of him!
"As you may not know, the temperature difference between day and night has been quite large these past few days. The water vapor rising during the day will form a large number of cumulonimbus clouds in the sky in the first half of the night, and these cumulonimbus clouds will gather around the mountains."
The eldest disciple paused briefly, his gaze fixed on the golden roof of the main hall, before speaking again:
"Especially here at Yongyang Mountain, the bright red sunset is due to the large amount of water vapor gathered in the clouds."
As if to prove that their senior brother was right, the Li family heard several rumbling thunderclaps from afar. As the thunderclaps approached, Xiao Yanbao quickly smelled the scent of damp earth, mixed with a hint of the fragrance of grass.
