Chapter 5 Seven Calabash Brothers

Hearing the old man's words, the brothers looked at each other, their eyes filled with anticipation.

I'm really going to have a little sister!

On the smooth, wide roads of the capital, Li Qicheng drove skillfully, carrying Zhong Jingyi and Xiao Yanbao towards the Li family manor.

The little group's eyes were filled with wonder as they arrived in the big city for the first time.

She was held in Zhong Jingyi's arms, and kept looking out the car window.

There were so many tall buildings, so many tall trees, and so many other things she had never seen before.

Zhong Jingyi looked at the little girl in her arms with doting eyes and used her fingers to comb her hair: "Yanbao, let's go home first. Mommy will find a suitable time to take Yanbao out for a good stroll."

She plans to take Yanbao to an amusement park so that she can also have many of the childhood memories that city kids have.

"Thank you, Mom." Little Yanbao turned to look at Zhong Jingyi and smiled sweetly, "This place is so beautiful!"

Suddenly, she saw something and exclaimed, "Dad, stop the car!"

Li Qicheng slammed on the brakes, turned around, and asked in confusion, "Yanbao, what's wrong?"

There's a kitten!

Xiao Yanbao was eager to get off the bus, and Zhong Jingyi accompanied her. Sure enough, they saw a kitten emerge from behind a big tree by the roadside. It was pure white except for a small tuft of black fur on its head, which was heart-shaped.

It looks like a little lion.

The kitten was a stray, but it was very clean. It looked at Xiao Yanbao, its deep blue eyes like jewels.

"Meow—"

It called out to the little bundle of milk.

Xiao Yanbao squatted down and reached out to stroke it. It seemed to feel very comfortable and rubbed its head against her hand.

The little kitten noticed that the kitten in the sunlight had a faint blue glow around its body, a different color from the light on its mother, but it was still very beautiful.

A human baby and a cat—a very heartwarming scene.

Zhong Jingyi couldn't help but smile at Li Qicheng, who was getting out of the car, and said, "Honey, how about we get another kitten?"

He always obeyed his wife's wishes, so he nodded and said, "Okay, we'll raise it as a pet for Yanbao."

Perhaps, a small, intelligent animal can heal Xiao Yanbao's heart.

With the kitten in her arms and the little bundle of milk in her arms, Zhong Jingyi smiled brightly: "Yanbao, let's go home."
