Chapter 7 The child doesn't want to be mentally ill anymore

"Uncle, Yan Yan can see."

Xiao Xinyan nodded with a smile, not only could she see it, but she could see it very clearly.

It was a creature that looked like a human but wasn't, shrouded in a cloud of black mist, and was currently perched on Li Qichen's shoulder, looking quite smug.

It seems that the more unlucky and downcast the person possessed by it becomes, the better its spirit and energy become.

"So it turns out it's not just Yan Yan who can see strange things, Uncle can see them too!"

Xiao Xinyan was overjoyed to finally find someone like her.

Similarly, Li Qichen was also very excited, as if he had found a kindred spirit, and was so moved that he burst into tears.

It turns out he wasn't suffering from hallucinations; he was genuinely being haunted by something evil.

"Can you see what it looks like?" Although Li Qichen could see it, he could only vaguely make out a outline.

He was terrified of the guy who was bothering him, but also curious.

He stared intently at the little bundle of milk in front of him, hoping she could satisfy his curiosity.

"Hmm..." Little Xinyan looked at the guy on her fourth uncle's shoulder again, blinked her big, peach-petal-like eyes, observed him for a while, and described him in a childish voice:

"He looks like a little old man, with a wrinkled face, pointed ears, and he's bald."

Amazing!

Li Qichen felt like he had met a master!

He pleaded pitifully with the little girl, "Can you help me get rid of it?"

He had a strong feeling that she could!

Li Qichen's eyes were filled with tears as he looked at Xiao Xinyan with pleading eyes. He looked so weak and helpless.

Please save the children!

My child doesn't want to be mentally ill anymore!

Xiao Xinyan felt a pang of pity and nodded: "Yanyan can give it a try."

She didn't know how to get rid of that thing, but she had an item given to her by a master.

Thinking about it, Xiao Xinyan showed her fourth uncle the ebony rooster hanging on the red string on her wrist. "This is a rooster that Master Xu from Cangxia Temple gave to me. It can ward off evil spirits. Maybe it can help you, Uncle!"

Yongyang Mountain, Cangxia Temple, Master Xu, a famous master.

Li Qichen's eyes suddenly lit up; he saw hope.

Xiao Xinyan took off her little rooster. She didn't know the Taoist priest's exorcism procedure. After a moment's thought, a brilliant idea struck her. She imitated what she'd seen in TV dramas, raising the little rooster high and shouting at the bald head on Li Qichen's shoulder:

"Mali Mami Hum, evil spirits begone!"

The bald man was startled, thinking it might come true.

But the little rooster in the little girl's hand didn't react at all.

The air froze for three seconds, then the bald man laughed wildly, making Li Qichen even more dejected.

Xiao Xinyan pursed her lips awkwardly, pretending to be nonchalant as she put her little rooster back on her wrist.

It turned out she was just a naive little girl, nothing special except that she could see dirty things.

Li Qichen covered his face with his hands, and tears of despair flowed through his fingers.

The child is hopeless! *sobs*

Unexpectedly, the "bald guy" on his shoulder seemed to have gone mad with laughter, suddenly twisting and trembling. Accompanied by a scream, its body became transparent, and half of the black aura surrounding it dissipated.

Li Qichen stiffened, and could clearly feel that he felt much more refreshed.

"It worked!"

"Master Xu's little rooster really works!"

Li Qichen and Xiao Xinyan spoke at the same time.

The two looked at each other for a few seconds, then instinctively took hands, excitedly spun around, and cheered together, "Oh!!! We did it!"

When the brothers of the Li family saw this scene, they were all speechless: the new sister was just like their fourth uncle, not quite right in the head either.

Completely immersed in the joy of having some of the evil spirits dispelled, Xiao Xinyan didn't notice that the dark bracelet her mother had left her, tucked in her bosom, was quietly emitting a faint green light...

Just then, the old master of the Li family led everyone into the courtyard. As soon as he saw his youngest son, Li Qichen, the old master's brow furrowed into a deep frown.

"How did you get here? Who gave you permission to come back?"

As he spoke, the old man glanced at the old lady of the Li family. The old lady clearly looked away from his gaze, feeling guilty, and looked elsewhere.

"Dad, I have some incredibly exciting news to tell you!"

Ignoring the disgust in the old man's eyes, Li Qichen said with a bright smile:

"I'm not mentally ill! I'm really not mentally ill!"

The old man frowned, looking at Li Qichen as if he were looking at a lunatic. "What are you doing here again?"

A renowned psychiatrist has given a clear diagnosis – Li Qichen suffers from hallucination psychosis.

He was originally the youngest son whom the Li family patriarch and patriarch doted on the most, but one day three years ago, he suddenly became erratic and liked to talk to himself all the time. Moreover, his luck became extremely bad; he would even get his head covered in droppings by passing birds while just strolling in a park...

“Dad, I’m not crazy, I’m really not sick. The things I saw that you can’t see weren’t my hallucinations, she…”

Li Qichen tried his best to explain himself, pointing at Xiao Xinyan and saying, "She can see it too!"

“Yes, Yan Yan can see it too!” Xiao Xin Yan said to the old man of the Li family in a very cooperative manner.

Seeing herself in her fourth uncle, whom she had once been bullied and ostracized by the whole village, Xiao Xinyan felt great sympathy for him and was willing to help him prove everything to everyone.
