Chapter 82 A Durian

The Li Family Manor.

As soon as Xiao Yanbao got home from school, he was called to his side by the old man of the Li family.

Ever since Xiao Yanbao became the little princess of the Li family, the old man's favorite thing every day is to see his little granddaughter.

Now that she's officially in kindergarten, the old man, like Zhong Jingyi, feels a deep sense of loss when he can't see her for several hours at a time!

So as soon as Xiao Yanbao returned home, the old man was overjoyed and placed all the snacks and fruits on the coffee table in front of her, letting her eat as much as she wanted.

As long as his precious granddaughter is happy, the old man would probably pluck the stars from the sky for her.

The old man casually picked up an orange, peeled it, and asked Xiao Yanbao in a kind and gentle manner:

"Yanbao, how's it going to kindergarten?"

The little boy looked up at his grandfather with his eyes crinkling with laughter, and said in his sweet, childish voice, "Going to kindergarten is so wonderful! Yan Yan loves going to kindergarten!"

A genuine smile, a heartfelt liking.

For a child who is often lonely, the lively and bustling kindergarten has always been something she longs for.

Going to school was something that Xiao Yanbao had always longed for but could never achieve; it was her dream.

Now that her wish has finally come true, she is naturally happy and joyful.

Everything in kindergarten was new and exciting to her, and made her happy.

Seeing his beloved granddaughter so happy, the old man of the Li family was also infected by her joy, and his smile became even more kind.

"Has Yanbao made any good friends yet?"

"Yes, I've submitted it!"

The little boy nodded vigorously and quickly introduced his first good friend to his grandfather: "Her name is Jiang Miaomiao, and she's Yan Yan's deskmate!"

Upon hearing this, the old man of the Li family readily agreed and exclaimed, "How wonderful! One is named Yan Yan, and the other is named Miao Miao, and they're even classmates. You two are quite destined for each other!"

Sure enough, the little one was pleased. Her dimples became even more prominent as she smiled, and she said in a sweet, childlike voice:

"Grandpa is right! Yan Yan also feels that she and Miao Miao are destined to be together!"

"When the weekend comes, Yanbao can invite your good friend Miaomiao to our house. From now on, Yanbao's good friend will be the most precious little guest in our Li family!"

The old man of the Li family looked at Xiao Yanbao with loving eyes, reached out and touched her little head, and made a promise to her.

No sooner had the words been spoken than the seven gourd brothers of the Li family entered from outside.

Every word the old man said reached their ears.

The second son, Li Muchen, was clearly a little jealous and muttered resentfully, "Hmph! He's really biased beyond belief. My friend wanted to visit the Li family manor, but Grandpa has never agreed to it!"

So when the second son heard that the old man was going to treat Xiao Xinyan's best friend as the most precious little guest, he was extremely jealous and had a lot of objections.

But he only dared to complain in the quietest voice and didn't dare to speak loudly.

He was afraid that if the old man heard this, he would be punished according to family rules.

But his muttering complaints reached the ears of his older brother, Li Muxing.

The eldest brother seized the opportunity to remind him, "Second brother, to be honest, those guys of yours really aren't friends. You should open your eyes and make friends with people who are worth getting to know better."

This wasn't the first time Li Muching had said this to Li Muchen.

Because he genuinely felt that none of Li Muchen's close friends were any good!

Each one was more unruly than the last, more ignorant than the last, and more unreliable than the last…

In any case, Li Muxing didn't see any good qualities in Li Muchen's group of friends.

He worried that if Li Muchen continued to associate with that group of people, he would be influenced by more negative factors and go down a path of no return.

Therefore, as the eldest brother, he had to worry about his younger brother and prevent him from going astray.

However, the second brother, Li Muchen, always dismissed his elder brother's good intentions and was even extremely impatient with them.

"Hmph! You're just prejudiced against me! I won't allow you to say bad things about my good buddies!"

He doesn't hesitate at all when it comes to protecting outsiders!

Li Muxing was once again successfully angered by him.

The second son truly lives up to his name; he's incredibly silly!

"Tch! I can't be bothered with you. You're taking my kindness for granted!"

Li Muxing said with exasperation, "If you ever get betrayed by your buddies, don't ever come to me for help!"

As soon as the words left his lips, the elder brother turned and left, not bothering to look at Li Muchen again.

The Calabash Brothers approached the old man of the Li family, greeted him respectfully, and then each found a seat.

In front of their grandfather, the seven Calabash Brothers were like mice in front of a cat, not daring to breathe and remaining very obedient and quiet.

So every time they see Xiao Xinyan being able to act spoiled in front of her grandfather, they are filled with envy!

Not long after, the main door of the house was opened again, and the old lady of the Li family returned with her three daughters-in-law who had accompanied her shopping.

"The children are all here! Perfect timing, I bought the freshest and most delicious durian, come and have a taste!"

The old lady was clearly in a good mood. She quickly urged everyone to eat durian and immediately went to Xiao Xinyan, snatching her away from Old Master Li, hugging her, and kissing her.

"Yanbao, Grandma has missed you so much!"

"Grandma, Yan Yan missed you too!" The little boy cupped his grandma's cheek and kissed her, looking sweet and adorable.

"Yanbao is such a good boy!"

The old lady of the Li family looked at her with tenderness and affection and said, "When Grandma went shopping today, she saw a lot of little clothes for girls. Every single one of them was very pretty. Grandma bought them all. I estimate that someone will deliver them to the Li family manor tomorrow."
