"Oh my, you two little ones are so cute, I heard you."
The old man chuckled, his gaze sweeping over the two children before finally settling on Su Tiantian.
"Grandpa, I'm sorry, I didn't mean to. I didn't know you would come up from down here."
Su Tiantian smiled brightly at the old man and apologized obediently.
This old man was a complete stranger. Wang Jiao was right; we should stay away from strangers, just in case.
If a five-year-old human girl is wary, how much more so would an extraordinary dragon princess be?
"It's alright, it's alright, Grandpa's not in pain, you guys go play."
The old man waved his hand to indicate that he didn't care.
He looked at the two little girls with loving eyes and a kind smile.
But this did not lower the two girls' guard.
Wang Jiao and Su Tiantian quickly ran away.
"Sweetie, let's play together again tomorrow. Today's game doesn't count. I didn't win and you didn't lose. Let's go home now."
When Wang Jiao and Su Tiantian parted ways, they made a fair agreement.
They usually play thirty rounds to determine the winner, but today they haven't finished thirty rounds yet, so it doesn't count as a winner or loser.
Su Tiantian nodded happily: "Okay, today doesn't count."
She played twenty-five times today. Including the five times she won using magic, she only lost twenty times. Wang Jiao was right; you can't count wins and losses until you finish playing. Let's call it a day.
Su Tiantian happily ran home.
Su Yongli followed from a distance, glancing around every now and then. Finding nothing amiss, she felt relieved and went home.
As soon as she got home, she rushed into Dai Ping'an's arms and tugged at his beard: "Grandpa, you're sleeping again."
Dai Pingan opened his eyes and smiled when he saw Su Tiantian: "Tiantian's back! You're back so early today. How many times did you win today?"
Dai Ping'an has been sleeping more and more lately, sometimes sleeping for fourteen or fifteen hours a day, and often feels listless when he wakes up.
But he was always happy to be woken up by Su Tiantian.
He didn't get angry even though he got his beard dirty, and when he picked up the little girl, he couldn't help but exclaim, "So healthy!"
She is a healthy and strong little girl.
Three-year-old Su Tiantian can run and jump. She weighs 30 pounds and is still chubby, pretty, and cute. She has two little pigtails on her head and attracts attention wherever she goes because she is just too beautiful.
"The old man is healthy too."
As Su Tiantian was about to blow air into Dai Ping'an's mouth, Dai Ping'an reached out and pinched her lips.
“Good child, Grandpa has been very happy these past few years. He has peace of mind and a lot of warmth. Let Grandpa go.”
Dai Ping'an looked at Su Tiantian with affection. He had watched this little girl grow up little by little, watching her learn to speak and walk. He had long regarded this little girl as his own great-grandchild.
This child is extraordinary. His body is already too weak to support him, but the child always wants to keep him alive for a few more years.
Several times I tried to blow spiritual energy on him while he was asleep, or I tried to give him a pill to eat.
He secretly spat it out himself. That pill was left by Su Yongli's mother. An extraordinary being nurtured an extraordinary pill, and he didn't want to use it.
"Grandpa..."
Su Tiantian looked at Dai Ping'an, her eyes gradually welling up with tears.
She could feel that the spiritual energy was dissipating faster and faster each time, and the old man refused to take that pill. She really couldn't keep this old man any longer.
Dai Ping'an smiled and patted Su Tiantian's head, saying with affection, "Grandpa is very happy to leave like this. Little girl, did you have fun playing with your friends today? Did you win?"
Su Tiantian pouted and told Dai Ping'an about what she had been doing.
She only won five times, and even then, she only won by using magic to cheat.
She secretly resolved that she could only cheat five times each time, and that she could only win those five times in every competition with Wang Jiao.
"Haha, you're such a smart kid, you'll soon be able to beat her fair and square."
Dai Pingan laughed heartily. Looking at the mud on Su Tiantian's hands, he slowly led her to wash her hands and clean the mud off her face as well.
"Little Tanuki, come here, let me wipe you down too."
Looking at the obedient black cat sitting beside him, Dai Ping'an smiled and waved.
Su Yongli raised her head and walked over with a haughty gait, raising her paw and extending it haughtily in front of Dai Ping'an.
Dai Pingan gently wiped the cat's head with a handkerchief, then reached out and rubbed it.
Su Yongli's aloof expression broke the facade.
After he was cleaned up, Su Tiantian reached out to hug him. Su Yongli looked utterly hopeless as Su Tiantian dragged him along, holding him by the waist.
He wasn't light either; a robust cat weighing fourteen pounds, which Su Tiantian naturally couldn't lift. And this was a scene that the Su family had seen every day since Su Tiantian could walk.
"Little Fox, sit down obediently. Your older brother and the others will be back soon. You must study hard, okay?"
Satisfied, Su Tiantian dragged Su Yongli to sit on a small stool, then went into the house to find something, and soon came out with dried fish and placed it in front of Su Yongli.
Su used the raccoon dog to stretch out its head and eat.
"I'm so smart! Once you learn it, you'll be a top student when I go to school, and you can do my homework for me!"
Su Tiantian smiled. Her older brothers were all in school, and she would have to go to school when she turned six.
Studying is a real headache, so she needs to plan ahead.
Su Yongli focused intently on eating the dried fish, and after finishing, he comfortably enjoyed Su Tiantian's petting. Naturally, he remained silent about his little master's whimsical plans.
Because in a few years, Su Tiantian will realize that he can't do his homework with just one cat.
And now, these dried fish are a must-eat!
Dai Ping'an had already lay back on the recliner, looking at Su Tiantian's innocent face with a kind expression.
When Liu Xiaohua returned from the fields, she saw Su Tiantian and asked with a smile, "Tiantian, are you hungry?"
Su Tiantian ran to Liu Xiaohua and hugged her: "Grandma, I'm not hungry."
Liu Xiaohua patted Su Tiantian's hair, greeted Dai Pingan, and went into the kitchen to cook.
Now she's the only one with free time at home; she spends her days wandering around the fields and cooking for her family.
Li Xue and Zhou Chunmei both went to work in the factory and were managing a lot of things.
The two sons were also busy; Su Chenggong was in charge of the maritime fleet, while Su Chengguo was in charge of fish exports.
Su Dahai, as a veteran sailor, also went to sea with the fleet.
I'm studying at the Medical University in J City, and now I can only come back once every six months.
It's mid-May now, and I'll be back from my holiday in another month.
When Liu Xiaohua walks through the village, she is the envy of the entire village.
Liu Xiaohua went into the kitchen to start preparing the meal. She grabbed a handful of peanuts, peeled them, and gave them to Su Tiantian to eat. Su Tiantian then talked to Liu Xiaohua about playing games with Wang Jiao.
Liu Xiaohua said with a smile, "Sweetie, you're great. You did a good job. It's right not to talk to strangers. You and Xiaojiaojiao are both good children."
