——Humans.
After An Ze's death, An Zhe hadn't seen humans for a long time. He quietly raised his head from the bushes.
The bushes rustled. The first man who spoke shouted "Be alert!"
The next second, three black muzzles of guns were pointed at him.
An Zhe looked at them.
He inevitably recalled the chaotic memory of the night when he lost the spores, but An Ze's existence made him see the kindness and friendliness of humans. He thought about his current situation and said, "Hello... you guys."
Under the illumination of the aurora, the scene in front of him was clear at a glance. These were three humans in dark gray clothes, all male. They had wide brown belts around their waists and magazines tied to their faces. The man standing in the middle was tall, and the other two were slightly shorter.
The man in the middle was the first to say "the last uranium bomb". His voice was very steady: "People?"
An Zhe hesitated for a moment, and then he remembered the weapon that blew the monster's waist off. He said, "Yes."
"What's your name? What's your ID number? Where are your teammates?"
"An Zhe, 3261170514, lost."
The man frowned and looked down at him. He had thick black eyebrows, clear black and white eyes, a high nose bridge, and thick lips. This combination of facial features did not make An Zhe feel dangerous like the beasts in the abyss. He pursed his lips and looked back.
Three seconds later, another man beside that man, a short dark-skinned man, fired his gun again with a click, full of threat. He looked at him and said in a low voice and fast speed: "Take off your clothes."
An Zhe stood up from the bushes and unbuttoned the first button of his gray shirt, then the second button, revealing the skin at the collar. His skin was a smooth milky white, a bit like the color of his mycelium.
The next moment he heard a third man whistle. It was a man with pale and rosy skin, yellow hair, and many wrinkles on his face, which meant human aging. The eyes were gray-blue, with the corners of the eyes raised, staring at him straight,
Anzhe lowered his head, unbuttoned the remaining buttons, and took off his shirt.
The gray-blue-eyed man approached him, blew the first whistle, and began to look him up and down.
The man's eyes were very sticky, like the saliva of animals in the abyss. After looking at Anzhe once, he circled to his side again.
The next moment, he grabbed An Zhe's wrist. His fingers rubbed the skin of An Zhe's wrist, and his thumb stroked his wrist bone. He asked in a slightly sharp voice: "What is this?"
An Zhe looked down at the back of his hand and wrist. There were some messy and irregular red marks on the surface. These were scratches from the bushes when he was trying to avoid the monster's attack. He turned his head and pointed to the bushes behind him: "Leaves."
There was a brief silence. After a while, the man smacked his lips and said, "Do you want to take off the rest yourself, or do you want me to take them off for you?"
An Zhe did not move.
He probably knew what they were doing. An Ze had similar scenes in his memory.
Genetic contamination can occur between monsters and between humans and monsters. The initial way to confirm whether a stranger is contaminated is to check if he has any wounds on his body.
But the man behind him made him feel uncomfortable. When he was still a mushroom, it felt like a snake swimming over the umbrella of his stem.
So he looked up at the man in the center. He had seen many ferocious beasts in the abyss and could roughly judge their degree of danger. Now, he intuitively felt that this man's aggressiveness was the lowest among the three.
"Huo Sen." After a brief eye contact, the man spoke again, his voice was very deep: "Don't get sick in the wild."
Huo Sen sneered, and his eyes looked at An Zhe more wantonly.
Three seconds later, the man said to An Zhe, "Come with me to the back."
An Zhe followed the man obediently and went around the back of the monster's head. There was no wound on his body except for the scratches from the bushes.
The man said, "How long have your teammates been separated?"
An Zhe thought about it and replied, "One day."
"You are very lucky."
"There don't seem to be many monsters here."
"But there are a lot of bugs." This man always speaks briefly, but he seems reliable.
An Zhe unbuttoned his clothes, looked at him, and whispered, "Are you going back to the North Base?"
The man replied, "Yes."
"Then..." An Zhe said, "Can you take me with you? I have food and water."
"My words don't count." The man said.
As soon as he finished speaking, the man stepped out and looked at the other two people: "He's not hurt, do you want to take him with you?"
Huo Sen smiled, folded his arms and looked at An Zhe, blew the third whistle, and then said: "Why not? One more person."
Then he looked at the remaining person: "Nigger, what do you say?"
An Zhe looked over and met the gloomy gaze of the black-skinned man.
