Chapter 3

The aurora cast a light green light on the ground, which reflected on the man's dark skin, forming a strange green color, like the skin of a lizard or a toad.

Finally, the man spoke: "We are not judges, and we cannot confirm that he is 100% human."

"That's what I said," Huo Sen crossed his arms and dragged his tone, "The pollution level of the second plain is only two stars."

The dark-skinned man was silent for a while, and said: "The average mutation time of the second plain is four hours, and it will take four hours."

"Okay," Huo Sen said, "After we pack up the spoils, if he hasn't mutated yet, we will take him with us."

The dark-skinned man finally nodded, and then the three of them looked at each other and seemed to have a unified opinion.

"I'm Vans." The tall man in the middle turned to An Zhe and introduced himself.

An Zhe: "Hello."

Huo Sen, who made him feel a little disgusted, also said: "Huo Sen."

The remaining man called "nigger" was silent for a while, and uttered a few syllables: "Anthony."

An Zhe also said "Hello" to him, and then said: "Thank you."

"Thank you," Fans smiled and said, "We are all human compatriots, and we just lost a teammate, so we are short of manpower."

After that, he walked to the monster head next to him and instructed the others, "Let's go after picking up the body, move faster."

As he said that, Fans took out a pair of gloves and a long dagger from his backpack and threw them to An Zhe, "Go and remove the legs."

An Zhe took them, responded obediently, walked forward a dozen steps, stopped beside the half body of the monster, put on gloves, and began to observe the body.

The body of the arthropod is very large, and the shell itself is smooth, but some places have long and sharp burrs or protruding tumors. He looked down at the monster's legs. There were six in total, thin and long, divided into three sections, covered with dense black hair.

Vance and Anthony were dealing with the monster's head on the other side, removing the outer shell of the head, letting the brain and other fluids flow out, and then scraping the inside clean. Huo Sen was on guard outside.

So An Zhe also pulled out his dagger and concentrated on scraping the monster's joints. It took about five minutes. A joint was cut off, and a leg was separated from the monster's chest and abdomen and fell to the ground. At the cut, white, sticky brain-like liquid slowly seeped into the yellow sand.

He heard Huo Sen's teasing voice: "Little baby, don't be disgusted and vomit."

An Zhe didn't respond, and quietly continued to scrape the next joint.

He didn't feel anything about this monster, and even thought it was much cleaner than the animals living in the "Abyss".

But Huo Sen didn't seem to let him go. Footsteps sounded behind him. Huo Sen walked over and pressed An Zhe's shoulder with his right hand, sliding his fingers around his shoulder: "Baby, how old are you?"

An Zhe heard a kind of greed in his tone - the greed of animals facing food. But in his limited cognition, humans do not eat their own kind.

So he calmly answered: "Nineteen years old."

An Ze was nineteen years old, and he ate An Ze's genes, so he was probably nineteen years old.

"But you look only seventeen." Huo Sen's laughter was muffled in his chest, and he spoke in a sharp and hoarse voice.

An Zhe frowned, not knowing how to answer.

"Huo Sen." At this time, Fan Si's voice came from not far away: "Focus on guarding."

Huo Sen snorted, pinched his shoulder with his fingers, and then walked away.

An Zhe once again realized that each individual in the human race may have different characteristics. For example, An Ze is different from those humans who dug his spores, and Fan Si is different from Huo Sen. He is very grateful to Fan Si.

He lowered his head and continued to plane the joints. Each leg was divided into three sections. After plane, he stacked them neatly in a pile. The outer shell of this thing was shining with metallic luster and was as hard as stone. When stacked together, it would make a crisp sound.

When he removed all six legs, Vance and Anthony also finished disassembling the head and came to the side of this half body. Vance glanced at the neatly stacked legs and feet on the ground and smiled: "You are quite serious."

Then he said to Huo Sen: "Drive the car over here."

Huo Sen said nothing and turned to walk out.

An Zhe stood aside and watched Vance and Anthony start to work on the chest and abdomen of the monster.

He asked, "Do you need my help?"

Vance was wearing gloves and holding a black clamp as long as a human calf. He said, "You haven't been out much, have you?"

An Zhe: "...Yeah."

"Then just stay by the side." Vance used the clamp to pry open the armor at the connection between the monster's chest and abdomen. The edge of the armor was irregular, and it formed a sharp black thorn at the connection with the other armor, flashing a gray and cold light. Vance said, "This thing has many thorns, and it is easy to get pricked if you are inexperienced. The pollution level of the Second Plain is not high, but it is still possible to be infected."

An Zhe took a few steps back and watched them dismantle the body, peeling off the black shells one by one, and the white internal organs and tissues were all over the floor.

As he watched, a dull rumble sounded. An Zhe looked to his right and saw a black rectangular armored vehicle driving towards him, like a huge armored monster - this thing looked very familiar to him, the team An Ze used to be in had five such armored vehicles.

The car approached, Huo Sen jumped out of the car, and Fan Si said without looking up, "Help him carry the things to the car first."

An Zhe said "hmm", picked up the armor on the ground, and then carefully tied them up with ropes and handed them to Huo Sen, who took them and put the things into the storage room of the armored car.

The huge monster was dismantled smaller and smaller by them, and An Zhe picked up more and more armor.

He suddenly stopped moving while tying up a pile of armor with ropes.

At this moment, the black armor with spikes under his hand - on the surface of the top of the spikes, there were several fine, liquid-condensed water droplets, dark in color, and difficult to find without careful observation.

He looked at the dirty stains on the ground and confirmed that all the liquids in the monster's body were white, yellow, or transparent.

What were these dark water droplets? He remembered the blood that flowed out of Anze's body before he died.

So Anzhe looked at Vance and Anthony. The two were concentrating on dismantling the body. They looked calm and everything was normal. So Anzhe could only pretend that nothing happened, lowered his head again, and tied up the things.

After a long time, the dismantling was finally completed, and the three people seemed to be sure that Anzhe would not suddenly turn into a deadly monster.

Vance said, "Get in the car and go back to the base. Anzhe, come too."

An armored vehicle can accommodate seven or eight people. There is also a resting space inside, which is simply divided into three compartments, but each compartment is very low and narrow, and people have to bend over to move around inside.

Anzhe was arranged in the outermost space, with the door on the right. He lay down with his backpack as a pillow. Anthony drove in the front, Vance was next to him, and Huo Sen was at the back.

The door was closed, and the place was plunged into darkness, with only a faint light coming in from a small window on the side. After a period of shaking, the armored vehicle started slowly and drove forward steadily. There were occasional bumps, but the amplitude was not large.

An Zhe stared at the darkness in front of him with his eyes wide open. He felt like he was floating in a black tide, which was carrying him towards the northern base, and he knew nothing about that place.

A slight sense of helplessness and bewilderment surrounded him, and he just stayed quietly in the darkness.

As the light in the small window gradually grew stronger, the surroundings also became slightly brighter. The car stopped, and An Zhe heard Huo Sen get up, walk a few steps inside, open the door between the driver's room and the lounge, and walk in to replace Anthony. Anthony returned to Huo Sen's original position and lay down. He was breathing heavily and moving so much that the floor of the lounge shook. Then, Vance asked, "What's wrong?", and Anthony replied, "I'm a little tired."

After a long time, it was Vance's turn to replace Huo Sen.

An Zhe curled up instinctively. He knew that Huo Sen would sleep next to him, and he felt uneasy.

But there was no sound of a person lying down next to him.

An Zhe opened his eyes wide and waited.

The next moment, there was a rustling sound of footsteps, and a person rushed straight onto him.

"Baby..." Huo Sen's voice was lowered and hoarse. He squeezed his legs between Anzhe's legs and put his arms over his shoulders. Anzhe struggled a few times almost reflexively, but was pressed to the ground by a stronger force. "Vans's thing is not here... I know what you do. I have been with more mercenaries than he has seen." The

struggles just now cost Anzhe a lot of breath. He gasped a few times: "Please don't do this."

"Don't do what?" Huo Sen smiled. In the dim environment, his smile looked very evil.

Anzhe did not answer. Huo Sen released the hand that was pressing on Anzhe's shoulder and untied his belt. He was able to hold An Zhe firmly with just one hand, which seemed to make him feel extremely happy. His smile became wider and wider, and his tone was rough and mocking: "Baby, what can you do with your little strength? You can't drive, you can't use heavy weapons, and you can only wait to die when you meet a monster. Why did your teammates bring you out? Are you here to watch?"

As he spoke, he pinched An Zhe's neck, leaned closer, and his stubbled cheek pressed against An Zhe's neck. A pungent smell of cigarettes came over: "I've seen a lot of little whores like you... but this is the first time I've seen such a beautiful one. Which mercenary team did you follow?"

An Zhe was panting violently, Huo Sen pressed him tightly, and his wet and hot tongue rolled over his skin. He turned his head and coughed because of the smell of cigarettes. His right hand kept groping in the dim light, and finally touched the dagger that Vans had thrown to him a few minutes ago.

At this moment, next door, next door, there was a huge noise, as if something was knocked to the ground.

"Don't worry, nigger." Huo Sen laughed loudly, "You will be there soon."

But his words seemed to have no effect, because there were footsteps coming this way.

Huo Sen cursed something in a low voice, pulled An Zhe up, pressed him against the wall of the car, and pulled the collar of his shirt with his hands.

An Zhe no longer resisted. He held the dagger tightly in his hand and looked quietly at the dim aisle. White mycelium quietly spread on the floor beside him, as if something was brewing.

But the next second, all his movements stopped.

——A monster with a human body and three pairs of long thin limbs extending from its back slowly walked out of the aisle, dragging its curled soft wings, and two blood-red compound eyes glowed faintly on the top of its head.
