Chapter 1 Sudden Death and Time Travel

A leaf of the sycamore tree heralds the arrival of autumn, and the rice fields talk of a good harvest; although it is not midsummer, the tiger is still crouching, and the cicadas are singing incessantly.

The autumn harvest season has arrived. For farmers who dig for food in the soil, even if the sun is scorching overhead, they just hope that the days will pass slower and slower.

In the small village at the foot of the mountain, almost every household only has a woman who cooks, and the rest of the people, regardless of gender, age or status, all go to the fields to work, for fear that the weather will change.

Bend down, stand up, bend down again, stand up again... Even though the sweat keeps flowing, it can't stop everyone's joy of the harvest.

In this village full of hardworking people, there are always exceptions. Ye Wanwan, who had just woken up in the bedroom of the village chief's house, was one of them.

However, at this moment, Ye Wanwan had already changed her mind. Looking at the dilapidated earthen wall in front of her, she felt a little hopeless. "What is this? Forced reopening?"

Ye Wanwan has a habit. Even if she wakes up, she will habitually touch her phone before opening her eyes.

Today, Ye Wanwan, who had never failed to find her target, could only sit up angrily after searching for a while without success. She slowly opened her eyes, but was startled. She lay back down, closed her eyes, and prayed with all her heart that this was a dream.

Isn't staying up late a risk of sudden death? Can someone explain what's going on? Ye Wanwan's mind was in a mess, completely unwilling to accept this fact.

Chinese is suitable for taking exams at night. When we are emoting late at night, everyone is a talented writer.

Ye Wanwan, a full-time writer, knows this all too well. She can barely produce a single word during the day, but at night, her creative juices flow. Because of this, her daily routine is always topsy-turvy.

So, Ye Wanwan didn't even know whether she had traveled through time after a sudden death, or whether she had triggered the legendary hidden condition...

She is a single person who has never been in a relationship, but now she is someone else's wife. Fortunately, they don't have children, and it seems to be a formal marriage, otherwise she would have been married right away.

Dandanhou’s motto: If you can’t figure it out, don’t think about it; if you can’t get it, don’t want it.

Ye Wanwan, who was starving, finally chose to put aside all her wild thoughts, slowly got up from the bed, put on her shoes and socks in an unskillful manner, and slowly walked out.

Ye Wanwan walked to the water tank according to her memory and was about to get some water to rinse her mouth. She saw a girl about her age who was washing vegetables and greeted her in a friendly manner.

"Wanwan, I'll bring you the meal." When Mrs. Wan saw Ye Wanwan's smile, she quickly put down the work in her hands and said carefully.

Seeing that Wan was avoiding her like the plague and quickly turned into the kitchen, Ye Wanwan could only keep preparing herself mentally.

She admitted that with her current personality, it was quite scary for her to talk to people with a smile.

After all, it is no exaggeration to say that she has not fully recalled the sins committed by the original owner since she woke up.

Let’s talk about Mrs. Wan for example. She had a soft temper to begin with. After the original owner married in, she was oppressed again and again, and now she has no temper at all.

When Ye Wanwan walked into the main room and saw the breakfast in front of her, she had to admit that the original owner's unreasonable behavior had cast a very deep shadow on the Wan family.

The boiled eggs were peeled and placed in a bowl with a steamed bun with wild vegetables. Even the cold tea was poured by Wan and placed aside.

Eggs are considered precious items for poor farmers. After all, eggs can be exchanged for a few copper coins at market time to supplement the family income.

The autumn harvest season is always busy and short. During this period, Ye Wanwan tried to help several times, but was rejected every time. She felt at ease and gave up.

I have to say, she has a long way to go to clear her name as she is full of stains.

"Cuihua, it's autumn harvest time. The Lin family has a lot of food. Just pack some for us and we won't have to worry about food and drink..." The speaker said expectantly when he saw Ye Wanwan.

Ye Wanwan calmly dodged the hand extended by the person. The hand had not been washed for who knows how long, and was covered with layers of grease. She really was not worthy of it.

The Ye family are all weird. It is a good thing that they don’t care about other people’s opinions, but it is not a good thing that they don’t care about propriety, righteousness, integrity and shame.

Lazy and gluttonous, shameless and stinky, these are the labels of the Ye family. They are not imposed by others, but are approved by the Ye family. The main feature is shamelessness.

"Mom..." Perhaps because the original owner still had her own consciousness, Ye Wanwan actually felt that calling her "Mom" was not that difficult.

Ye Wanwan secretly promised in her heart that since she occupied this body, if the Ye family could still be saved and there was still a chance to get back on track, she was still willing to give it a try.

Fang wiped her hands on her clothes and took out a piece of wrapped candy from her sleeve. "Your father asked me to bring this, Cuihua. We really can't make ends meet at home."

"Mom, we have hands and feet. We can't live like this anymore." Ye Wanwan didn't know whether Fang would listen to her or not. She didn't accept the candy, but said with a serious face.

Fang was a little surprised when she heard this. After a pause, she asked, "What should we do? Your father doesn't know how to farm. Won't he starve to death?"

It’s funny to say that among the farmers who don’t know how to farm, the Ye family is probably one in a million.

"Mom, I will go and borrow some food for the winter. We will have to rely on ourselves in the future." Ye Wanwan took out the boiled eggs she usually brought and handed them to Fang, instructing her.

This boiled egg was for Ye Ansheng, Ye Wanwan's younger brother. Fang would come every 20th of the month, and the original owner would count the days and save the eggs for that day.

Although they lived in the same village, Fang knew that she was not popular and the Ye family relied entirely on the Lin family for support. Therefore, she did not dare to visit Ye Wanwan too often for fear of being disliked.
