Chapter 91 Extra 2
Su Ran recently found a letter in the research institute.
There is no signature on it, it is just placed in the corner of the warehouse and looks like it has been there for a long time.
Su Ran blew away the thick dust.
After just one glance, he picked up the little leaf and slowly read the words on the postmark: "45th Avenue, District B, Old City, Lille Church, to Anna..."
The moment he saw the recipient, Su Ran patted the little flower bud.
It turned out to be a letter from Sister Anna.
So Su Ran staggered with the letter in his arms, and at the moment when he was about to completely overwhelm his little leaf, he turned into a human form with a whoosh.
Su Ran sighed softly inwardly.
At Little Rose's pace, it might take a day and a night for the medical team to reach Anna.
Su Ran set out from his residence with ease, got in the car, and drove all the way to the vicinity of the branch base.
The medical team Anna is in is very close to the support institute, separated only by a natural plant nursery. Niuniu and the others usually go there to play when they have free time.
After arriving at the medical department, Su Ran called out "Sister Anna" and then said, "This letter is for you."
Anna was surprised: "This is..."
"I just found it at the research institute and saw the recipient."
Anna took the letter.
Just one glance, and a faint smile appeared in her eyes, as if she had thought of something.
Su Ran looked at her: "What's wrong..."
"This is a very old story," Anna said. "If you want to hear it, the medical department just got a new batch of herbal tea. We can talk about it in detail."

Hanging Island.
The breeze blew gently, and Su Ran and Anna sat under a white windmill - there was warm sunshine here, so Su Ran felt very comfortable.
Su Ran looked at the petals floating in the teacup and whispered, "Is this herbal tea?"
Anna put "Yes."
"Last time I went on a business trip to support the research institute at the Xincheng Ruins, I found some petals in the tea room of the base ruins," Anna said. "She knew I liked this tea the most, so she brought it back."
She paused and said, "Just like her when she could write letters."
Su Ran was slightly stunned: "She?"
"Yes." Anna smiled, "Let me think about it..."

In fact, there were no signs that day.
Everyone lived their lives as usual until red clouds rose from the sky. The old city she was in had completely collapsed, and countless singers ran out of the church, gazing between heaven and earth, as if praying.
Young Anna looked up at the blood-red sky until a female voice sounded behind her.
"Are you scared?" Suddenly, a cloaked woman appeared behind her, holding a heavy book. After a while, Anna said, "Are you scared?"
"I'm never afraid."
"Why?"
"Because I am the guardian of this old city." She held out her hand to Anna. "Come with me, child."
She followed the cloaked woman into the church. The surroundings were freezing cold. Countless people lay on the ground, staring at him with ferocious faces.
Anna shuddered.
She looked out the window at the blood-red sky and the crows shedding their feathers.
"Can I stay here?" she asked. "I'm an orphan myself."
"Of course, my child," the woman's voice was calm.
"Here, you can learn medicine and find temporary safety," the woman said, "but you have to exchange something with me."
Anna: "What is it?"
The woman didn't say anything else. She lowered her head and the light blurred her eyes.
After a while, she smiled again, stretched out her pale fingertips, and grabbed Anna's arm with her sharp nails.
"From the beginning, you have been a singer."
"Follow the heart of the singer and remember all the glory of the old city."
"My child, remember that everything is given by God. All we can listen to is the sorrow of this land."
Anna was always confused every time she heard such words, but she managed to stay in the old city and follow the priest in the church. She learned some hymns and some medical equipment that could be used in this era.
It was a snowy night.
Madwoman is Anna's only impression of Triana.
A figure staggered and fell in the heavy snow, blood splattering on the white snow. Anna had undoubtedly saved her. Dragging her from the flat ground outside the church into the room was not easy, and she had to avoid the woman's surveillance.
But Anna still dragged her into the room.
The warm, flickering light fell on the side of her face. It was a young researcher, about her age. As she turned to grab a bandage, she heard the researcher cough, "Why are you saving me?"
"I'm from Xincheng." She sneered, "It's not worth it."
Anna didn't turn around, but simply opened the drawer and said slowly, "I'm a singer. I will follow all the principles I should abide by, but I won't stand by and watch someone die just because I'm here."
That's what she thinks.
Both the new city and the old city lived in this blood-red world, and the researcher now was just a wounded person she saw.
Afterwards, she learned the researcher's name—Triana. Unlike the devout singers she had met, her personality was closer to that of a "madman." She faced all dangers and threats head-on.
So, on countless snowy nights, Anna would sneak out, like a newcomer, to explore the wild world she had never seen before. Or she would sit in the open space outside the church, watching Triana rushing back from her exploration.
Maybe it was just a glance on a snowy night.
But for them, it was enough.
The days passed by quickly, just like countless snowflakes falling, leaving no trace when they hit the ground.
"You'll be returning to the New City base tomorrow." Anna looked at Triana. "I wish you all the best."
"Is that all?"
Anna lowered her eyes.
After a while, she smiled again, just like she had done countless times before: "This is a good thing, isn't it?"
"You can return to New City, and I can continue to stay here," she said. "It will be the same as before."
"Why?",
Anna took a step back: "What?"
As soon as she finished speaking, Triana grabbed her shoulders tightly: "You..."
"Do you know that the new city is going to sign a treaty with the old city?" Anna said, "Colonel Si will come, and everything will be fine. You will be transferred to support the research institute and work with the strongest people in the base..."
"But what about you?" Triana bit her lip, which broke almost instantly, and blood dripped out. "We are really, really different."
They are all orphans.
It’s also in this era.
Anna is so sunny, gentle, firm and powerful.
But she never could.
She had almost exhausted all her strength to get here.
*
It's snowing again this year.
Different from the previous distant background, this time there are two figures leaning against each other under the snow.
"What are you looking at?"
"Nothing." Anna put the book away and muttered softly, "I've been away on business for so long, leaving me alone in the medical department making herbal tea..."
Before she could finish, she was pulled into a warm embrace.
Then, before the other party could say anything, Anna couldn't help laughing.
She gently pushed Triana away, unable to stop smiling: "Look at Nietzsche again."
"Nietzsche?"
Anna nodded.
"It says above that everything that can be walked has already been walked, and everything that has happened has already been completed." Anna said softly, but her tone was serious. "We have already walked this road a long time ago."
They stared at each other for a few seconds.
After a while, Triana grabbed the other person's hand and held it tightly: "It's snowing. Do you want to go out and see the snow?"
Anna smiled and said, "Yeah."
Just like the snowy night when we met.
Maybe it's all destined.
