Chapter 106 The First Kiss is Gone

Chapter 106 The First Kiss is Gone

"Are there only the two of you? Is there no one else?" Judging from Wei Ciying's reaction, it was obvious that Jiang Fei had interacted with both of them after she entered Jiang Rufei's body as a child.

They depend on each other for survival, but what about the self who traveled through time? What role did she play there?

"No." Pei Jing said.

"No?!" Jiang Fei sat up suddenly.

Unexpectedly, as soon as she raised her upper body, her face hit something and she lay back down.

Jiang Fei lifted the brocade handkerchief and saw Pei Jing holding his chin in a daze, his phoenix eyes revealing a bit of surprise and confusion.

"What's wrong? Did I hit your chin?"

Pei Jing quickly let go of his hand and avoided her gaze, but it just happened to fall on Duan Jiu at the entrance of the waterside pavilion.

Duan Jiu watched the whole process and laughed like an aunt. He was leaning against a pillar and laughing when Pei Jing caught him. He immediately returned to a serious expression.

"Why are you here?"

"Your subordinate, your subordinate," Duan Jiu said awkwardly, "Your subordinate is waiting here in case the prince has any instructions, but it seems that there are none. Your subordinate will take his leave now."

Duan Jiu ran away. As the only guard who watched the whole process, he was worried that if he ran too slowly, the prince would kill him to silence him.

After running a long way, Duan Jiu stopped, still a little unable to believe what he had just seen.

His prince's first kiss was lost just like that, inexplicably.

It’s gone!

On the other side, Jiang Fei sat up again and returned the handkerchief to Pei Jing, who had a strange expression on his face.

"Think about it again, is there really no one else?" Jiang Fei was confused.

If there were no others, then what about herself? Which link did she fit in? How did she intersect with the two of them?

Pei Jing had not yet recovered from his shock. He mechanically took the handkerchief, his expression still a little dazed.

"Your Majesty?"

Pei Jing snapped back to his senses, his ears turning red at a visible speed, "My king... My king was just thinking..."

What was I thinking about? It seemed like I wasn't thinking about anything. My mind was so muddled that I had lost the ability to think.

Pei Jing suddenly stood up, walked to the railing by the water, and took a deep breath.

He looked down at the handkerchief in his hand, which was still stained with the sweet scent of watermelon from Jiang Fei's face. It was through this handkerchief that their lips touched just now.

Her fingertips tightened unconsciously, but she loosened them hastily as if she was afraid of wrinkling them.

"Your Highness?" Jiang Fei's voice came from behind, with some doubt, "Have you thought it through?"

"Think it through." Pei Jing gritted his teeth and closed his eyes.

Of course I've thought it through! This girl dared to provoke him like this, so he must teach her a lesson. Just like what was written in the storybook, he must tie her up, and then, and then...

Can't think about it anymore.

Pei Jing concentrated his mind and said, "There are other homeless people in the dilapidated temple, but I am not familiar with them."

Jiang Fei nodded thoughtfully, "What happened next?"

"My illness kept coming back, and there was no medicine to treat it. Later, I became very ill for a period of time, and she left me."

"What?!" Jiang Fei was shocked, "Then, then..."

Pei Jing turned around, his expression back to normal, but his eyes were a little cold, "I came to her just to confirm one thing."

"What's up?"

"Did she abandon me in the first place, or was she forced to do so?"

"Is there any difference?" Jiang Fei asked puzzledly.

Pei Jing's fingertips were still unconsciously stroking the handkerchief. "Of course there is a difference. If she really abandons me, then I will... kill her!"

Jiang Fei was so shocked by the sudden murderous aura that she fell back.

She looked at Pei Jing's gloomy face and suddenly realized what kind of paranoid obsession this madman had in his bones.

Pei Jing changed the subject, "But if she has her own reasons for leaving, I will fulfill my promise."

"What promise?"

Pei Jing was about to speak when he suddenly realized, "Why are you asking so clearly?"

"I have to," Jiang Fei stammered, trying to find an excuse, "She is my future sister-in-law, I have to get to know her better."

"You're lying!" Pei Jing narrowed his eyes and suddenly leaned over to approach Jiang Fei. "Why are you so concerned about this? You don't want to understand her, you want to understand someone else, right?"

Someone else? Jiang Fei was stunned. Who else? Yes, it was the person in front of her, but this person had said before that he wanted to marry her. He didn't think she was specifically asking about him because she was interested in him.

She mainly wanted to find out what happened when she traveled through time as a child, what kind of interactions she had with them, and also to find out what Wei Ciying's ultimate purpose was in changing her life after her rebirth.

"You, you, you, why are you standing so close to me?" Jiang Fei suddenly reached out and pushed Pei Jing, causing him to stagger a step. After he stood firm, he looked at her in shock.

"You, you dare to push—"

"Shut up!" Jiang Fei interrupted him directly, sat up straight and said, "Now that you've finished speaking, pack up the things on the table. I'm leaving now."

"Just, left?" Pei Jing didn't react for a moment.

"What else?" Jiang Fei stood up quickly and began to pick up the food on the table that she wanted to take away.

I really can't stay with Pei Jing for too long. I almost lost control today. Of course I had to run away quickly after asking about the matter to avoid anything uncontrollable happening again.

Pei Jing frowned. This girl treated his place as an inn.

How dare she push him! How dare she yell at him! If she were to marry him, wouldn't she ride on his head? Where would his dignity as a prince be then? How would he rule in the future?!

Pei Jing took a deep breath and said in a deep voice, "Someone come!"

Jiang Fei was startled and subconsciously took a step back.

Two maids and two guards stood upright at the entrance of the pavilion, saying in unison, "Prince."

Pei Jing swung his sleeves and shouted angrily, "Tell the kitchen to prepare some fresh food for her to take away!"

Looking at this scene, it seemed like they were going to arrest her and bring her to justice, but in the end they did something new for her.

Jiang Fei complained inwardly: Why is this person so divided? Even when he does good things, he looks so ferocious.

After Jiang Fei left, Pei Jing was still angry and sat alone in the waterside pavilion to digest his emotions.

In his mind, there was her bright eyes lying next to King Wu, and then there was her righteous look when she pushed him away.

Pei Jing became angrier and angrier as he thought about it. He slammed the table so hard that the teacups clinked.

Duan Jiu was about to enter the pavilion when he heard a "bang" from inside, which scared him so much that he stopped in his tracks.

He carefully leaned over and saw his own prince sitting there with a gloomy face, and the fruits on the table were shaken all over the place.

"Your Highness." Duan Jiu called out tentatively.

Pei Jing did not respond, but said: "She pushed me, she dared to push me! She also, she also..."

He raised his hand to touch his lips, but put it down halfway, frowning resentfully, as if he had suffered a great injustice.
