Chapter 116 Snatching the Airdrop

Yun nodded.

Bai Yu sighed twice, "That guy acted so convincingly that I really thought he was just a random player. That faction is really cunning. But then again, did they try to get rid of us because they thought we were too difficult to deal with? I guess they didn't dare use explosives this time, afraid of damaging the airdrop."

The fourth brother quickly nodded in agreement.

Yun Jian had a bad feeling. She felt that this person's flaws were too obvious and did not fit the usual style of that faction.

But she couldn't quite put her finger on what was wrong.

The fourth brother had been staring at the messages on the public screen, and his expression grew increasingly grim.

"Someone posted the airdrop location in the public chat, and a large number of people are heading in that direction. We need to speed things up."

Yun Jian glanced at the public chat and quickened her pace.

Bai Yu cursed and swore, "What's wrong with these people? They found the airdrop and just went to grab it themselves without saying a word. Why did they post the location and attract a large number of people to rush over and grab it? Are they out of their minds?"

Liang Song sneered: "These people are just looking for a good show. They know their chances of winning are slim, so they might as well post the location and make a big fuss. Maybe they can even weaken some teams in the competition, which would be beneficial to them."

"Troublesome!" Bai Yu muttered irritably.

Liang Song ignored him and started calculating the landing location of the airdrop based on its trajectory and time.

The group found a spot and lay in ambush early on.

It was approaching eight o'clock.

The airdrop landed shakily, less than twenty meters above the ground.

As more and more people followed the airdrop, the fighting began even before the airdrop landed.

Listening to the sounds of fighting, Bai Yu sighed, "If they could take off, these people would probably have already soared into the sky to steal it."

After saying that, he turned his head and saw the fourth brother looking at him seriously. "Do you want to take off? I can help you."

"Stop kidding me, are you trying to throw me up there? I'll just use my Wind and Fire Wheels later."

The fourth brother immediately pulled out his new weapon—a stun gun.

Bai Yu's expression changed. "What do you want to do?"

The fourth brother turned the stun gun to the lowest setting and proudly introduced it to everyone, "After this stun gun hits a person, it will lift them into the air, meaning if I can't electrocute you, I'll kill you by dropping you. If you don't care about the consequences, I should be able to send you flying into the air."

Bai Yu: "..."

What a bizarre weapon.

However, seeing the fourth brother's eager look, Bai Yu got goosebumps. "You don't really want to use this thing, do you?"

The fourth brother nodded, his gaze shifting to the airdrop. "If we wait a little longer, some players will be able to reach the airdrop. We can't lose the initiative!"

Upon hearing this, Bai Yu turned around and saw that, sure enough, some players were already using items to try to rush towards the airdrop. If they didn't act soon, the item might really be snatched up by someone else.

Bai Yu glared at him and said, "Come on!"

Just as the fourth brother was about to make a move, Yun Jian stopped him, saying, "Wait a bit, there are people who are more anxious than us."

"Who is it? If we don't act now, someone else will steal it." Bai Yu was very anxious.

Yun smiled and said, "Even if these people get the things, they can't leave. Let's wait a little longer."

Despite Bai Yu's great anxiety, Yun Jian held him firmly at the ambush point.

In that short time, some players had already stood on the airdrop, and others rushed forward one after another to grab it.

Before long, the airdrop was stained red with blood.

At 8 o'clock, the airdrop landed.

The contestants had decided who would win. Just as he was about to open the box, the people who had been lying in ambush nearby could no longer contain themselves and rushed out. If they didn't grab it now, when would they?

Bai Yu was so provoked that he bared his teeth. The previous squabbles were just minor skirmishes; this was the real battle.

The number of people lying in ambush was many times greater than the number of people who had previously attempted to seize the loot from the air!

A chaotic battle ensued around the airdrop site.

Bai Yu wasn't as impulsive as before, and looked at Yun Jian, "Should we go out now?"

"Wait a little longer."

The words had barely left his mouth when a loud "boom" shook the minds of the group.

Bai Yu couldn't help but wipe the sweat from his forehead. "This explosive arrived late, but luckily we didn't go out just now, otherwise we don't know if we'd still be alive."

The crowd, who were scrambling for the airdrop, realized that saving their lives was the priority, and they decided to abandon it.

Damn it, they had to wait until all of them were out before throwing the explosives. It's obvious they were planning to wipe them all out in one fell swoop!

Despite their eagerness for the airdrop, they couldn't compete with the explosives.

Especially considering the way the explosives were scattered everywhere, it's clear the enemy had a large stockpile.

But even if they wanted to escape, the other side didn't intend to give them that chance.

The bombing lasted for five minutes.

Bai Yu felt like his ears had been deafened. "Is this ever going to end? Are they planning to not only blow people up to death, but also burn them to ashes?"

Yun Jian stared intently at the points falling in the arena.

Equipment will be destroyed, but scoring balls will not.

As the bombing subsided, Yun put on his camouflage suit, gave a few instructions to the others, and headed straight for the field.

Liang Song kept reporting information to her.

"Take three steps to the left, then two meters forward, and lie down!"

As Yun Jian obediently did as she was told, the points sphere disappeared from the area she walked through, and a mushroom cloud burst open dramatically to her right rear.

Bai Yu was dumbfounded.

How could they coordinate so well?

He sensed the unevenness of the world.

Before long, the opponent clearly sensed something was wrong and started dropping explosives much faster. Even so, the scoring balls on the field were still disappearing little by little, which showed that the explosives had not harmed Yun Jian in the slightest.

With most of the points in the game gone, the opposing team finally couldn't sit still and sent players into the field to fight for them.

Without the explosives, Yun Jian's speed increased significantly. After quickly collecting most of the remaining scoring orbs, she headed straight for the airdrop. She held the airdrop with both hands, intending to throw the box into her backpack along with it, but when she tried, she realized that the box couldn't fit into her backpack at all.

Without any extra time to think, Yun Jian opened the box, didn't even look at what was inside, and just threw everything into her backpack.

Just then, Liang Song's urgent shout came through the walkie-talkie, "Get out of the way!"

Almost the instant the sound rang out, Yun Jian dodged backward, threw a bag of explosives into the box, and then it exploded violently.

She coughed twice from the shockwave of the explosion.

Before I could even stand properly, I heard a familiar hissing sound all around me.

The snakes swarmed around her. Although she was wearing a cloak of invisibility and could not be seen by the naked eye, snakes use their tongues to sense the location of living beings by heat, and thus were able to accurately surround her.

To make matters worse, the group of players who had been driven away earlier returned and were now eyeing her with predatory intent.
