Chapter 104 Beautiful Eyes

Chapter 104 Beautiful Eyes

Soon the patient's skin was completely peeled off and thrown into the trash can like garbage.

The operating room was filled with the pungent smell of blood.

Under the doctor's instructions, Jiang Liyue wrapped the patient's skin completely with bandages.

As for the heart, it was preserved in a glass jar.

The glass jar contained a clear liquid. When the heart entered, it turned the liquid pink, while the bright red heart floated in the middle, still beating rhythmically.

The doctor put away the scalpel and looked with satisfaction at the patient, who was neatly bandaged by Jiang Liyue: "Very good, the patient's skin disease is now cured."

The skin has healed, but the person is truly lifeless.

Jiang Liyue was unsure whether the so-called patient was a monster or a human.

But she knew that the heart was the source of a strange power.

So whether it's a monster or a human, losing its heart is no different from being dead.

"It's because they didn't take their medicine properly that they ended up needing surgery to treat them," the doctor sighed softly. "These patients just love to cause us trouble."

"And those nurses are irresponsible too. The head nurse is really derelict in her duty!" The doctor said with displeasure when mentioning the head nurse.

It's clear that there's a conflict between the two of them.

However, after complaining, the doctor noticed Jiang Liyue next to him and quickly added, "Of course, you are still very good."

"What's your name? Why don't you quit being a nurse and study medicine with me?"

"Dr. Zhou, I'm Jiang Liyue." She introduced herself first, then sighed, "Of course I admire your medical skills, but what about the head nurse..."

“Her? What can she say? We already have enough nurses in our hospital.” The doctor said, then became resentful. “I should suggest to the hospital director that we hire more doctors.”

"Otherwise, I would have to perform surgeries day and night, I'd be exhausted. That damn head nurse, she even tried to steal my staff..."

Damn it, this lousy job is so annoying every day!

Listening to the doctor's complaints, Jiang Liyue could almost feel his resentment as a working-class person.

[Doctor: Who actually enjoys going to work?!]

The doctor completely ignored Jiang Liyue's presence while complaining, and after he finished muttering, she knocked on the operating room door.

A cold voice came from outside: "Dr. Zhou, there's a new surgery coming up in room 103 next door. Get ready immediately."

The doctor's expression changed again.

"Why is there another surgery?" This time, his resentment was almost tangible.

"You and I..." The doctor looked at Jiang Liyue, then quickly seemed to remember something, "Never mind, you should take this heart to the fifth floor first."

"Fifth floor?" Jiang Liyue looked down at the heart in her arms.

"This is the dean's rule; fresh hearts must first be stored in the specimen room on the fifth floor." After saying this, the doctor hurried to the adjacent operating room to prepare for the new surgery.

Before leaving, he didn't forget to tell her, "Don't damage your heart."

He then left Jiang Liyue alone in the operating room, face to face with the heart inside the glass bottle.

The head nurse once mentioned some precautions for the Happiness Sanatorium.

The last rule is that you can't go up to the fifth floor without permission; that's the dean's territory.

But now that the doctor has given his advice, maybe we can go up and give it a try?

Jiang Liyue picked up the glass bottle containing the heart and went upstairs.

After the surgery, there were still no other players in the hallway.

I don't know if they went to do something else or if they haven't finished their rounds yet.

Jiang Liyue quickly reached the stairwell leading to the fifth floor.

She looked up at the pitch-black passage, with only a faint light, like some giant beast opening its mouth to lure its prey into its trap.

Jiang Liyue blinked, stepped onto the stairs, and quickly reached the fifth floor.

The fifth floor doesn't look much different from the ground floor; it's still a dimly lit corridor.

The only difference is in the decoration.

The corridor was lit by a dim red light, and the floor was covered with a thick black carpet.

Stepping on it makes no sound, which only makes it seem more eerily quiet.

The walls are lined with oddly shaped but exquisite wall lamps and murals.

It doesn't resemble a hospital, but rather the interior design of the Blood Moon Villa, the second instance of Jiang Liyue's story.

Jiang Liyue walked slowly on the carpet, looking around, trying to find the specimen room the doctor had mentioned.

Soon, she saw the sign for the specimen room, but before she could push it open, a cold voice came from behind her.

"What are you doing?"

The voice was like that of a malevolent spirit devoid of any emotion, deep and terrifying.

Jiang Liyue turned around and realized that a tall man was standing not far behind her.

The man was standing in the shadows, so his features were not clearly visible; only his tall and imposing silhouette was discernible.

And the dark gaze emanating from him.

Jiang Liyue looked somewhat bewildered and held up the glass bottle in her hand: "The doctor asked me to go upstairs to deliver a heart sample."

She has a delicate and cute appearance, and when she looks bewildered, her eyes widen.

Her eyelashes fluttered like butterflies about to take flight.

Her red lips were slightly pursed, making her look like a lost little white rabbit.

She's here! She's here! She's brought her acting skills with her!

What an innocent and naive little nurse! My wife gives me a kiss every month.

Even though I know this woman can tear apart monsters with her bare hands, I still can't help but soften when she acts cute. What's wrong with me?

[Hey, I'm an old Chinese medicine doctor, you're just a lecherous person.]

The figure took a step forward and finally emerged from the shadows.

Jiang Liyue could finally see his face clearly.

The man was tall with sharp features, and his hair was meticulously combed back, revealing a smooth forehead.

His prominent brow bones made his eyes even sharper.

The doctor's uniform was filthy.

His clothes were spotless.

The styles are similar white coats; when doctors wear them, they look like ordinary office workers, but when men wear them, they resemble some kind of haute couture coat.

This clearly reflects the saying: the success of fashion depends on one's appearance.

Jiang Liyue admired the other person's good looks in her heart, but on her face she still had that pitiful look: "The doctor really sent me. This is the heart that was just removed during surgery."

The man slowly walked up to Jiang Liyue, without saying whether he believed her or not.

He simply opened the door to the specimen room in front of her.

He took a step inside, then frowned and looked at Jiang Liyue, who was still in a daze: "Come in."

"Huh?" Jiang Liyue's eyes widened.

The man glanced at the glass bottle in her hand: "Didn't you come to deliver a specimen?"

"Oh, oh, oh." Jiang Liyue nodded, as if she had realized something, and followed the man step by step into the specimen room.

The specimen room is surrounded by iron shelves, which are filled with glass bottles of various sizes, containing not only hearts but also all sorts of other organs.

She glanced at it briefly, showing no fear, and placed the glass bottle on the table in the middle.

Then she looked inquiringly at the man standing not far away: "Um, are you the dean?"

The man didn't answer her question, he just looked at her quietly, and the door to the specimen room was closed at some point.

He stood in front of the glass bottle filled with human organs, looking at her with a sickly gaze and speaking in a morbidly dangerous tone: "Your eyes are very beautiful."

It seems like a good specimen.
