Chapter 34 The Husband's Appearance, the Wife's Glory

Chapter 34 The Husband's Appearance, the Wife's Glory

The cold, large hand completely enveloped her palm, and Jiang Liyue did not break free.

This is her legal husband in the game, and holding hands is perfectly reasonable.

The moment Zhou Yulin took Jiang Liyue's hand, he felt like he was floating.

It was so soft and small, and the frequency of its pulse seemed to perfectly match his preferences.

He was wrong. He shouldn't have gouged out her eyes. He should have hidden her completely so he could always feel her vibrant presence.

"Honey, shall we go?" Jiang Liyue shook their clasped hands.

Zhou Yulin suddenly felt uncomfortable with this form of address. Who was she calling "husband"?

"Husband?" Jiang Liyue leaned closer and called again.

Her voice was sweet and soft, and when she called him "husband," it was as if she truly depended on him wholeheartedly. Zhou Yulin's eyes darkened.

It doesn't matter, he is her husband, and he can only be her husband.

"Let's go."

The two men, carrying flashlights, walked into the villa.

The villa was very large, and they did not encounter Peng Shan and Zhu Ming, who had just gone in, as they walked inside.

The two walked up to the second floor, where oil paintings were hung on the walls on both sides of the stairs and in the second-floor corridor.

Even though this villa was built more than ten years ago, the oil paintings on it are all portraits of figures that resemble those of the Middle Ages.

The pale light of the flashlight shone on the portrait's face, making it look eerie, with its eyes seemingly fixed on their direction.

The villa has wooden floors, which creak and groan when stepped on because they have been in disrepair for years, making the empty villa feel particularly unsettling.

Suddenly, a girl screamed from downstairs.

"Help! Someone's dead!"

They're here so quickly? This isn't a C-rank dungeon?

Jiang Liyue blinked twice and quickly pulled Zhou Yulin downstairs.

The sound came from the direction of the kitchen downstairs. When Jiang Liyue and Zhou Yulin arrived, the other seven people were already there.

Zhu Ming's body lay outside the kitchen, and someone shone a flashlight on it.

His wound appeared to be on his chest, where the color of his clothes was darker, as if they had been torn by some wild animal, leaving a pool of blood on the ground.

His flashlight was lying on the ground beside him.

"Call the police! Call the police right now!" Lu Zhuokai took out his phone, and after a moment his expression became even more grim. "No, there's no signal."

Upon hearing this, the others quickly took out their phones to check, and sure enough, there was no signal.

"What do we do now? How could this happen? Did we really encounter a Blood Moon Monster?" Zhang Yuan cried out in fear.

She was timid to begin with, and she was also the first person to discover Zhu Ming's body.

“How could there be monsters in the world? It must be man-made. Maybe the murderer is among us,” the muscular man, Peng Shan, said viciously.

As soon as he said that, everyone immediately dispersed a bit.

Clearly, most people don't believe in the existence of monsters and are more inclined to believe that a murderer has emerged from among them.

Lu Zhuokai looked down at the corpse and frowned: "But his wounds look like they were inflicted by a wild animal."

"I heard the Blood Moon Monster looks like a wild beast," Hou Wu added in a low voice.

Now everyone was even more panicked.

"Maybe one of us has been turned into a monster?" Yuan Le pushed up his glasses and made a guess.

There was a warning upon entering the instance: "Some of you are monsters."

Jiang Liyue had just guessed that he was a player, and now it seems that it's confirmed.

"Bullshit, we all came together. If someone turned into a monster, what happened to that person's body?" Peng Shan still didn't believe it.

He held up his flashlight and looked around at everyone: "Who's the one who killed him? Stop pretending to be a ghost! Believe me or not, I'll kill you!"

At this moment, Lu Zhuokai spoke up: "Everyone, please calm down. We can't contact the outside world right now, so we can only save ourselves. Internal strife won't solve any problems."

"That's right, that's right, listen to Brother Lu." Hou Wu echoed obsequiously, not forgetting to pick up his equipment and take pictures everywhere.

He seemed completely unafraid, especially when he pointed at Zhu Ming's corpse on the ground.

"Let's go to the living room and discuss our strategy," Lu Zhuokai suggested, and so everyone headed towards the living room.

Jiang Liyue did not follow them. Instead, after they all went to the living room, she touched the blood on the floor with the tip of her shoe.

Then he looked at Hou Wu, who was still filming Lu Zhuokai in the distance, and gave him a knowing smile.

This is clearly a staged performance!

In the previous instance, Jiang Liyue had witnessed quite a few corpses and murder scenes.

Logically speaking, Zhu Ming had just died, and there was such a large pool of blood on the ground, but there was almost no smell of blood. It looked more like the prop blood she had seen when filming in the theater.

The biggest flaw was Lu Zhuokai's acting skills, which were even worse than his bizarre acting skills in the previous instance.

The panic and emotional shifts were completely unnatural, and Hou Wu, holding his camera the whole time, seemed to have no reaction to the dead man at all.

This is probably a pre-arranged charade, with the sole purpose of filming videos and posting them on social media to gain followers.

Jiang Liyue slowly withdrew her gaze and turned to meet Zhou Yulin's dark eyes.

She blinked, then hugged his arm, whimpering, "Honey, I'm so scared."

She felt Zhou Yulin's body stiffen unnaturally for a moment, then he belatedly reached out and patted her head: "Don't be afraid."

"Will you protect me?" Jiang Liyue looked at him pitifully.

Because of the tilt of his head back, his large hand, which was originally on top of her head, now covered the side of her face.

Zhou Yulin quickly withdrew his hand, but the soft, smooth sensation seemed to linger in his palm.

My fingers involuntarily curled up slightly.

So soft, warm, and fragrant.

A storm seemed to gather in his slightly lowered eyes, as if he wanted to touch her again.

He pursed his lips and didn't say anything.

Jiang Liyue noticed that the husband she received in this instance seemed a bit quiet, unlike Pei Ji from the previous instance who always liked to stare at her.

That's good, she doesn't want to run into another pervert.

And the new husband's ears seem to be red, which is kind of cute, isn't it?

Jiang Liyue deliberately shook his arm and continued to act coquettishly: "Honey, you haven't promised me yet, will you protect me?"

Zhou Yulin seemed to be unable to resist her pestering, and looked at her seriously, saying, "Yes."

"I knew my husband was the best." Jiang Liyue smiled sweetly.

[What does it mean for a sweet girl to save the world? My darling Yueyue is just too cute!]

[They're such a perfect match! The sweet girl and the effeminate, loyal dog are such a good match too!]

[Haha, to be honest, the way Zhou looked at Yueyue really resembled a creepy male ghost.]

So, does nobody even discuss the plot?

[It's just one person dying, and it's not even worth watching. What's there to discuss about this plot? I'm already tired of it.]

[Exactly! Unlike shipping couples, where every time the main characters appear together it's all sweetness and happiness!]

And for some reason, I have a feeling that Yueyue is going to mess up again this time.

[Waiting for someone]
