Hearing Qi Ling's slightly disgusted voice, he was afraid that no one would help him if he made Qi Ling unhappy, so he quickly wiped away his tears with his sleeves.

Zhou Xu ignored him after he finished speaking, and sat alone on the stool, taking deep breaths, trying to calm his overly tense heart.

As Qi Ling was speaking, there were four rhythmic knocks on the door.
Liu Jie hadn't gone to bed yet. When he heard the knock on the door, he didn't think anything was wrong. He thought it was his classmate. He immediately turned around and opened the door, and a cold air instantly hit him in the face.
He couldn't help but shudder: "Why did it suddenly get cold? It looks like the weather will change tomorrow."
Then, without even glancing outside, he casually asked, "Why are you here again? Did you forget anything?"
He waited for a long time but didn't hear any reply. When he looked up, he was almost scared to death.
He fell to the ground and asked Zhou Xu reflexively: "Fuck, am I seeing things?"
Why did the corridor outside suddenly become so dark and eerie, and filled with red lanterns, as if entering another world?
And why did a red sedan suddenly appear outside? Next to the sedan stood two female paper figures, their eyes strange and lively, staring intently at Liu Jie.
When they saw the door open, a sinister smile appeared on their pale faces, and they both bowed in Zhou Xu's direction.
When she saw that he wasn't wearing a formal dress, her pale face wrinkled, looking even more terrifying: "Why aren't you wearing the formal dress my young lady prepared for you?"
Zhou Xu didn't say anything, but his body kept shaking.
Seeing that he remained silent, the maid didn't care. Her eerie, hoarse, yet ethereal voice, like a death note, reached everyone's ears: "Master... come here quickly. Today is a big day for you and my young lady. My young lady has come to pick you up. Why don't you come quickly?"
The moment Zhou Xu saw the sedan chair, he was so frightened that he was speechless. He seemed to be able to see through the curtain of the sedan chair a female ghost staring at him with her sharp eyes.
Seeing that he still didn't speak, the maid seemed even angrier. She said stiffly, "If you don't come, I will go in and invite you myself."
After hearing this, Zhou Xu finally regained some of his senses.

He didn't know where he got the strength from, but he ran to the door and closed it tightly.

At this moment, a strange fragrance wafted through the air, accompanied by a bone-chilling cold that seemed to freeze the two to death on the spot.

Zhou Xu and Liu Jie simultaneously let out sharp explosions.
