Chapter 70 Love is always by your side

Unlike his nervousness, Qi Ling was very calm.

"He's fine. The fox didn't mean to hurt him."

Deng Xiu reacted violently. He loudly retorted, "How is that possible? If you weren't trying to hurt him, why did you keep him locked up in there and not let him out?"

Qi Ling couldn't help but sigh at his appearance and said, "Maybe you can go in and take a look yourself."

Deng Xiu was a little hesitant. He was afraid that he would not be able to get out once he went in. If he was alone, he would not worry about these things, but he still had a wife and daughter.

But we can't let this happen.

Qi Ling saw his concerns and said, "Don't worry, I'm here."

"Yes, it's just a fox spirit. Don't be afraid. Even if it's a real fox spirit, our Master Qi can deal with it."

[That’s right, if our Master Qi says it’s okay, then it’s okay.]

[Don't worry, why don't you go in and take a look? I'm curious too.]

With repeated assurances from Qi Ling and his fans, he finally mustered up the courage and walked into the painting with Qi Ling's help.

As ripples appeared on the fox painting, Deng Xiu quickly disappeared into the house.

He appeared outside an antique house. For some reason, he always felt that this house was a little familiar, as if it was a bit like the house in his hometown.

Looking at the bamboo forest surrounding the house, he couldn't help but frown.

When he heard the noise coming from the house, he opened the door and rushed in without thinking too much.

"Bang"

The door was suddenly opened, which disturbed the happy grandfather and grandson.

Seeing his son suddenly appear, Mr. Deng was very confused.

"Xiu'er, how did you get in? Aren't you working out of town?"

The moment the fox's soul saw him, it was afraid of being caught by him, so it changed from human form to fox form again and huddled in Father Deng's arms.

Deng Xiu glared at the fox angrily, pointing his finger at it: "If I don't come...if I don't come, will he kill you?"

After saying that, he relied on Qi Ling to protect him and ran forward, snatched the fox and prepared to throw it out.

Father Deng quickly reached out to stop them, and the fox was pulled between the two men, wailing in pain.

Father Deng was heartbroken, and Qi Ling couldn't help but frown. She shouted, "Stop! Let go of this fox. I told you, it means no harm."

As she spoke, she flicked her hand at the fox, and the fox quickly broke free from the two people's restraints and ran to the corner to hide.

She just looked at Dad Deng with a pair of big, wet eyes.

When Father Deng saw that it was safe, he looked at Deng Xiu in a reproachful manner: "What are you doing? He's just a child, how could you treat him like this?"

Deng Xiu's eyes widened in silence. "He's a fox demon! And he's still a child. That's hilarious! If it weren't for him, would you be trapped in here?"

He complained, "You haven't gone out for a few days, and you haven't come out to eat. Don't you know how worried I am about you?"

As he spoke, he couldn't help but shed tears. His mother was already dead, and if his father was in danger again, he really didn't know how sad he would be.

When Mr. Deng saw his son’s red eyes, he understood what was going on. He patted his son’s shoulder to comfort him and burst into laughter.

"Haha, you're already an adult, and you're still crying. If your daughter knows, she'll have to make fun of you."

"I'm fine, don't worry. I met Xiao Hu by chance, and I asked him to bring me in."

Deng Xiu was puzzled. "But he's a fox demon? Aren't you afraid he might harm you?"

Deng Xiu felt that his father was becoming more and more confused as he got older, and he was actually so bold.

Father Deng nodded without any reaction: "Of course I know! He won't harm me."

He then explained with a smile, "It's you! You work outside all night and never come back to see me, your old man. You also don't let me go back to my hometown in the countryside. You even took my granddaughter away. It's so lonely and desolate for me to live alone in such a big house."

"Well, I met Xiao Hu by chance. He knows what I long for. To make me happy, he turned into your childhood appearance and played with me all day. I am very happy and I also like the days with him, so you don't have to worry about it."

After saying that, he looked at the red fox hiding in the corner and waved to it. The fox looked at his gentle look and couldn't help but walk over.

Then, in Deng Xiu's shocked gaze, he turned into his childhood appearance, sitting obediently in Deng's father's arms and calling him Grandpa.

Deng Xiu pointed at him in disbelief: "This...this...so all the male voices I've heard these days are his?"

Father Deng proudly stroked the little fox in his arms. "Yes! He's much cuter than a stinky boy like you. I really like playing with him, so go back and don't disturb us."

He looked at Deng Xiu with resentment and began to drive people away.

"Really? You scared our Xiao Hu. I'm fine. Go back to your company and take care of your business!"

After saying that, he patted the little fox on the back and comforted him: "Don't be afraid, Xiao Hu, don't pay attention to him. Where were we just talking about? Let's continue..."

The little fox blinked its big, wet eyes and stared at Father Deng with admiration, listening obediently to the story in his arms.

The two of them were chatting among themselves, completely ignoring Deng Xiu who was standing beside them. If you didn't know, you would think they were father and son.

Deng Xiu suddenly felt a little embarrassed, feeling like an outsider.

[Hahaha, this is hilarious. Is Mr. Deng planning to raise a son again?]

[Bah, rubbish. You were so cruel to leave your father alone at home. How lonely he must be! Now he finally has someone to keep him company. Don't meddle in his business. Just let him be happy.]
