Chapter Sixty: A Tragic Accident Occurs, Xiaobai Arrives

Not far from where they were resting was a forest where villagers would occasionally go to hunt for food, and if they were lucky, they might even encounter wild rabbits.

Da Bao and Er Bao have been enjoying playing in the forest these past few days, not only because it's spacious and deserted, but also because the air is fresh.

They arrived at their secret base as usual, and Da Bao excitedly pointed to the fruit on the tree, "Look, there are apples!"

Wow, really?!

Erbao looked over excitedly, his eyes lighting up.

The two brothers discussed it and decided that the younger brother would stand on the older brother's shoulders to pick some apples to take home and eat.

"Are you done yet?"

Da Bao was being pressed down by Er Bao, and his face was somewhat distorted.

"It'll be here soon."

Erbao, his body wobbling, reached out to grab an apple from the branch.

Just as he was about to take the apple, a large, muscular hand reached out and snatched it away first.

Seeing this, Erbao frowned, jumped off Dabao, and looked up.

The visitors were Wang Meng and several of his brothers.

Wang Meng looked down at the two children with a disdainful expression. "Oh, little ones, coming here to pick apples to eat?"

“That’s right, the apple in your hand is mine, give it back to me,” Erbao said through gritted teeth.

My older sister said that if anyone bullies them, they must not be afraid or back down, but speak up immediately.

"Yo ho!"

Hearing this, Wang Meng scoffed and took a big bite of the apple. "Yours? I got it, so it's mine!"

Wang Meng's brothers exchanged glances and then surrounded Da Bao and Er Bao.

Sensing their menacing approach, Da Bao tried to remain calm and asked, "What do you want?"

What are you doing?

Upon hearing this, Wang Meng spat on the ground, "Do you know that your sister stole our grain? We're here today to teach you a lesson!"

"It was you who stole my sister's grain!"

Hearing them slander Xu Nian, Da Bao immediately became unhappy, his little face showing great determination.

Erbao nodded in agreement, his eyes full of resistance as he looked at Wang Meng.

These people are all my sister's enemies!

Seeing that Da Bao dared to contradict him, Wang Meng became furious, "You damned little beast! Believe me or not, I'll cripple you right here and now!"

Hearing his threatening words, Da Bao felt his legs go weak, but he still stood firmly in front of Er Bao, not moving an inch.

Erbao's mind raced as he recalled the words Xu Nian had once told them.

"If you encounter danger, shout as loudly as possible, and then be sure to tear this note to shreds."

Initially, just in case, Xu Nian gave them a few communication talismans for emergencies.

Erbao suddenly remembered this and realized that they weren't watching him, so he secretly reached into his pocket.

"Boss, stop wasting your breath on him!"

The group of henchmen around them were already itching to teach the two kids a lesson.

Since they can't do anything to Xu Nian, they'll target her brother!

"Heh, you're right, give them a good beating!"

Wang Meng also felt that there was no point in continuing the conversation, so he raised his hand and beckoned, his face looking fierce.

"Help! Help!"

In the blink of an eye, Erbao quickly tore the communication talisman in his hand to shreds and then shouted for help.

Seeing this, Da Bao remembered Xu Nian's instructions and shouted loudly, "Help! Murder!"

Before Wang Meng and the other men could react, the two children ran desperately to the side, shouting for help.

"Damn it, catch them!"

Instantly, Wang Meng became completely enraged and began chasing after Da Bao and Er Bao with gritted teeth.

The two of them gripped each other's hands tightly and ran desperately toward the forest exit.

Da Bao and Er Bao both believed in Xu Nian, thinking that as long as they bought enough time, their older sister would definitely come to save them!

But the two of them were just teenagers, and naturally they couldn't outrun several strong men. They were quickly caught.

"You little rascal, you can run pretty fast!"

Wang Meng glared at the defiant Da Bao with a ferocious expression, and chuckled evilly, "Let's see how I deal with you today!"

As he spoke, Wang Meng raised his foot and kicked Da Bao.

Upon seeing this, Da Bao immediately closed his eyes.

But the expected pain did not come; instead, a loud and fierce tiger roar came from afar.

"Boss, it's...it's a tiger!"

The henchmen pointed tremblingly to the distance, almost wetting themselves in fear.

Wang Meng was stunned for a moment and looked up.

Not far from them stood a tiger with snow-white fur, its face fierce, staring at them impatiently, as if it would pounce at any moment.

"noob!"

Da Bao and Er Bao immediately called out excitedly.

They hadn't expected that their cries for help wouldn't have brought anyone to their aid, but instead had summoned Xiaobai. Upon reflection, they realized that Gu Zhan had indeed let Xiaobai roam freely in the forest.

"Boss, this tiger looks like the general's!"

The underlings watched for a while, then said uncertainly, "If that's the case, could the general be nearby?"

Wang Meng also felt a little fear rising in his heart, but then he thought that since this place was so far from the camp, Gu Zhan should have no reason to come to the forest.

"Forget about all that, you guys grab your knives and come at me! I don't believe it can beat so many of us."

Wang Meng gritted his teeth, pulled out a dagger, and shouted, "Go!"

Seeing this, the others drew their swords and rushed towards Xiaobai in different directions.

Xiao Bai let out a low snort from its throat, scratched the ground with its strong limbs, and nimbly dodged their attacks.

Although those people had knives, they were only half-baked and were quickly tackled by Xiaobai.

Seeing that Xiaobai had lowered his guard, Wang Meng threw the knife in his hand at him with all his might, yelling, "Die!"

He aimed at Little White's eyes, hoping to crush it with a single blow.

But Xiaobai naturally sensed his intention and was about to dodge when the person he had tackled suddenly grabbed its arm desperately.

"No!"

Da Bao and Er Bao watched in horror as the knife flew past, about to disappear into Xiao Bao's eye.

Wang Meng revealed a smug smile, just as he was about to celebrate, when a swift, cold wind suddenly blew through the air.

The dagger fell to the ground with a crisp sound.

"bite."

Wang Meng stood there dumbfounded, saying in disbelief, "Impossible, why..."

Before he could finish speaking, an extremely terrifying pressure swept over him. Wang Meng trembled and turned around, meeting Xu Nian's extremely gloomy face.

"I think you want to die!"
