This energetic young man is a Douyin (TikTok) streamer known as "Crazy Dog Chen." He mainly gains followers by commenting on current hot topics.
Upon hearing that the disaster was severe and that many livestreamers were coming to the area, he followed suit and rushed to the scene immediately.
A small streamer with less than 30,000 followers gets high viewership because he dares to speak his mind.
His fans love his fearless personality.
Seeing a streamer meddling in other people's business, the fans became incredibly excited.
[Damn it, it's Lin Xiaozhe on the other side! Streamer, you're doomed!]
Lin Xiaozhe is nothing but a piece of trash, let's take him down.
Do it, don't back down.
Don't be afraid, Xiao Chen, we are your strong support.
[Who is this? A bullfighting streamer? Thinks he's someone important? Always meddling in other people's business, huh?]
[Go ahead and criticize, we're on your side.]
Xiao Chen glanced at the comments and was surprised to find that it was Lin Xiaozhe, the anti-fraud god of Douyin.
We've run into a tough opponent.
How did I end up meeting him?
He knew that Lin Xiaozhe had checked on many live streams and shut them down.
So Xiao Chen changed his arrogant attitude from before, nodded and smiled obsequiously, "Oh, it's Brother Lin. Hello, Brother Lin. I... I had a little misunderstanding."
[Brother Lin?]
[So you chickened out already, what a coward.]
[Unfollow, unfollow, this guy is useless.]
【Xiao Chen, you're such a coward.】
A wave of unfollows hit the live stream, causing Xiao Chen to lose three thousand followers, which immediately alarmed him.
"Brothers and sisters, don't go!"
"I'm being polite first, then resorting to force."
"When have I ever been a coward?"
"I'll curse him right now."
Xiao Chen smiled wryly. He knew that the main reason he attracted fans was because of his own live streaming style, so if he didn't bite the bullet and go for it, he would lose all his fans.
Lin Xiaozhe couldn't help but chuckle as he watched the streamer's frantic face-changing antics.
Xiao Chen knew that if he didn't criticize Lin Xiaozhe, all his fans would leave, so he directly filmed a close-up shot of Lin Xiaozhe's face and pointed at him, saying, "So your name is Lin Xiaozhe."
"Are you really good at spotting scams?"
What can you do if I curse at you?
"Try turning the tables on me."
"You're like a dog trying to catch a mouse; do you really think you're the embodiment of justice?"
"Drink, back off, what the hell? How come your arms are so long? There are a lot of people here today, so I'll give you face. Don't let me run into you one day and I'll deal with you. Get the hell out of here."
【Cool.】
Well said, that's arrogant enough.
【Xiao Chen did a good job.】
This is the real mad dog, Xiao Chen; he bites anyone he sees. I love it.
"Thanks to my lucky brother for the ten carnivals."
"Thank you, Brother Fortune."
"Thank you for the three carnivals, Sister Li. Love you!"
Xiao Chen nodded and bowed repeatedly, seemingly pleased with himself. He glanced at Lin Xiaozhe, who was on the phone, not daring to utter a single word. Was that all?
That's all there is to it.
Mad Dog Xiao Chen sneered, just then heard Lin Xiaozhe say, "Where are the Douyin moderators? Ban Mad Dog Xiao Chen's live stream, let's ban it for ten years first."
"Yes, that's right, Mad Dog Chen, live stream room number..."
Mad Dog Xiao Chen's heart skipped a beat, as if he had swallowed a huge rock, feeling a heavy weight on his body. He quickly turned off his phone and slid forward to his knees.
"Brother Lin, I was wrong."
"There were too many people there just now, so I'm kowtowing to you to apologize."
"Don't ban me. I've been doing live streaming for five years. I've finally gained some popularity and can earn about 10,000 yuan a month. I rely on this to improve my life. Please don't ban me. What am I going to do if you ban me?"
Xiao Chen spoke with snot and tears streaming down his face.
"Kid, weren't you pretty arrogant just now?"
I still prefer the you from before.
Are you scared now?
[Your sliding knee posture is quite standard.]
[You used to swear a lot, didn't you? You wanted to teach Xiaoze a lesson.]
Lin Xiaozhe disdained to argue with a clown.
But they won't let him off easily.
"It's easy to not ban you. We'll see how you perform these next few days. The village is in need of manpower right now. If you work hard and do well, we'll let it go."
Xiao Chen nodded vigorously, understanding that he needed help with the work.
Just then, the old man was struggling to push the construction debris out of the yard with a small cart, but because he was too old, Xiao Chen offered to help.
"Grandpa, you rest, I'll take care of it."
The old man was still a little unaccustomed to it, so he slowly let go of Lin Xiaozhe's hand. He watched as Xiao Chen pushed the car out, then smiled and gave Lin Xiaozhe a grateful look. He had heard the whole conversation.
"Thank you so much, young man. If you don't mind, why don't you have a meal at my place? I can tell you're genuinely trying to help us."
Lin Xiaozhe shook his head and smiled, "No need, I have other places to visit. Don't be polite to Xiao Chen. He's only interested in helping the villagers right now. If he has any complaints, tell me."
"Okay, okay."
"Okay, I'll take another look."
Lin Xiaozhe nodded and continued walking uphill along the road.
Soon they came across a primary school, but what shocked Lin Xiaozhe the most was its condition. The school playground was a muddy mess; there was no rubber surface, not even a paved one. The school gate was rusty, and beyond it were three single-story buildings—those were the classrooms. Not far from the classrooms were two single-story buildings that appeared to be where the teachers lived.
The classroom door was also rotten and damaged by wind and rain, and many of the classroom windows were cracked and covered with paper, making a whistling sound when the wind blew.
Although the village was hit by a disaster, classes continued in the classrooms because education is the future and the only way out for the children here.
