After Han Chen came in, he sat directly by the window. Xuemei hadn't looked at him since he sat down. She couldn't understand why Han Chen, with his messy hair and patched cotton-padded jacket, could still attract so many people with just his face.
Xuemei felt a pang of anger, and the sight of Han Chen intensified her. To avoid losing her temper and remain calm, she decided not to speak to Han Chen. Han Chen tugged at Xuemei's clothes several times, but Xuemei didn't respond. While pretending, she fell asleep. When she woke up, she realized a handsome twenty-year-old man was sitting next to her. Seeing Xuemei's sleepy eyes, the young man said, "Hello, comrade! I just switched seats with someone! I'm here."
Xuemei hadn't spoken for a long time. Suddenly, her voice was a little hoarse. "Okay, comrade, please move aside. I need to go out for a while!"
"Oh, okay, comrade. Please!" the young man stood up and made way.
Han Chen had been staring at Xuemei for the past two hours. He didn't expect that Xuemei didn't even look at him when she woke up. She only spoke to others and looked at the young man several times.

Xuemei ignored him because she was afraid that she would vent her anger on Han Chen and say something hurtful to him. Although she knew that Han Chen was not at fault for what happened to the girl just now, she still felt uncomfortable and unhappy.
Han Chen was still trying to compete with her, which made Xuemei even angrier. Thinking that she would never give in first this time, Xuemei angrily closed her eyes again.
