Chapter 16
As soon as he entered the yard, Zhuzi made a gesture to indicate that everything was fine at home.
Yu Fu nodded with confidence and took Sun Cheng into the living room.
"Sit down." Yu Fu pointed to a chair in the living room.
Sun Cheng sat down without hesitation. Seeing Yi Hanxing also came in and sat down, Zhuzi was guarding the door of the living room. Yu Fu started to pour tea, so he spoke directly: "According to the organization's work regulations, we can only communicate through a single line. Is it inappropriate for you to let me come to this place now?"
Yi Hanxing made a shocked face: "Teacher Sun, what are you talking about? What organization?!"
Sun Cheng was shocked when he saw Yi Hanxing's reaction: Could it be that Yu Fu is not a member of the organization?
If Yu Fu was not a member of any organization but just a relative of Yi Hanxing, wouldn't he have said something he shouldn't have said?
Then, Sun Cheng realized that Yu Fu's attitude changed obviously when he entered the room. How could Yi Hanxing, a twelve-year-old girl, live with her relatives and not know about the organization's affairs?
After this reaction, Sun Cheng was a little puzzled by Yi Hanxing's reaction.
"Don't tease me." Yu Fu said to Yi Hanxing, and then said to Sun Cheng: "Comrade Tai'a, you are not an intelligence line, but you should also know that in general, you should not take the initiative to reveal any information in this situation, otherwise it may be exposed."
Sun Cheng knew that there was indeed something wrong with him and couldn't help but touch his nose.
"Also, don't have the habit of touching your nose when you feel guilty." Yu Fu said, "We also need your cooperation in your transfer work. When the time comes, you will lie to the Nanjing government officials, so don't do such petty things."
Sun Cheng knew that what Yu Fu said made sense, so he did not refute it.
After Yu Fu finished speaking, he explained Sun Cheng's previous question: "Originally, I wanted to let Comrade Ye Mang communicate with you one-on-one, but for two reasons, since we have the opportunity today, I will invite you in for dinner and explain some things that are inconvenient to talk about in the Physics Experiment Society. I am the main person in charge of your task, and I still have the authority to temporarily change the information handover personnel."
"Are you Comrade Yunfan?" Sun Cheng asked with a little surprise.
"Yes, hello, Comrade Tai'a." Yu Fu nodded and asked with a smile, "Why don't I look like him?"
"I just didn't expect that Comrade Yunfan is actually a..." Sun Cheng said halfway when he realized that something was wrong.
"A small businessman who doesn't look like a party member?" Yu Fu smiled.
"You're really good at disguising yourself," Sun Cheng sighed. Without further ado, he asked directly, "So, do you have anything to tell me?"
"It's like this, there are some things that happened during the transfer process..." Yu Fu and Sun Cheng talked about his transfer in detail.
"In short, because there are many people watching you right now, it is not suitable for you to transfer for the time being. We are still looking for an opportunity." Yu Fu made a summary speech.
"Then..." Sun Cheng didn't expect the situation to be so complicated, and couldn't help but feel a little worried: "If you let me come in and eat directly, won't this attract the attention of those who are staring at me?"
"Of course!" Yi Hanxing said, "I just felt someone staring at us from outside the door."
"Oh, oh, oh, don't let me get you into trouble later." Sun Cheng felt a little regretful when he said this: "If I had known earlier, I wouldn't have stayed in Shanghai to recuperate. It would have been better if I had just left the ship."
"It's come to this, there's no point in saying more." Yu Fu said, "Besides, you don't have to worry too much about us. Zhuzi and I will also be evacuating soon. When the time comes, Han Xing will apply for boarding school by saying that her relatives are no longer around. After all, her future mission is to study hard."
"Han Xing is really talented. It's right for her to study hard. Maybe she can be my colleague in the future." Sun Cheng felt much better after hearing Yu Fu's words. He cheered up and told Yu Fu about Yi Han Xing's grades: "Don't let the child drop out of school."
"Of course not." Yu Fu smiled. "You don't know, Han Xing was sent from the base to Shanghai specifically to study. The teachers in the base also said that this child is talented."
Seeing that the topic of discussion between the two was starting to turn to himself, Han Xing, feeling unworthy of his talent, quickly changed the subject: "It just so happens that you're here, Teacher Sun. I heard from the arsenal that there's a problem with their weapons. I was planning to ask you today, but when I saw Mr. Yang Qin, I didn't have time to ask. I'll take it out and show it to you."
Hearing that there was a problem at the Arsenal, Sun Cheng no longer had the heart to talk to Yu Fu about Yi Hanxing. He quickly took the information Yi Hanxing handed to him. Even when Yu Fu invited him to eat something, he only took two white steamed buns: "I can just fill my stomach while I read it."
Seeing this, Yu Fu gave Sun Cheng some fried eggs and asked Yi Hanxing and Zhuzi to eat first.
Sun Cheng read the information several times and had a rough idea in mind. He wolfed down two steamed buns, asked Yi Hanxing for some banknotes, and wrote down his solution. He sighed as he wrote, "It's a pity that I can't see the problem on site, but I think it should be these reasons. Let the arsenal investigate. If it's not the problem, then contact me."
After writing down the reasons and drawing the diagrams, Sun Cheng handed the manuscripts to Yu Fu and then looked at the sky. "I'm just here to eat. Would it be inappropriate to stay too long?"
"Yes, I'll see you out." Yu Fu stood up together with Yi Hanxing and saw Sun Cheng out.
After opening the gate, Sun Cheng turned around and said, "You don't have to see me off."
"Teacher Sun, thank you so much for taking care of my child at school before, and today as well. If it weren't for you and Mr. Yang, I would be questioned.
I don’t know if I’ll get into trouble.” Yu Fu put on a broad smile.
"You're too polite. This is what I, as a teacher, should do." Sun Cheng followed suit: "Besides, if Xun Jian and I hadn't invited the students to have coffee today, you wouldn't have encountered this."
"You and Mr. Yang treated the children to coffee. This is a great opportunity to broaden their horizons! We can't thank you enough." Yu Fu continued politely.
The two exchanged polite words at the door, ending with Yu Fu saying to Yi Hanxing, "Say goodbye to Teacher Sun quickly!"
"Goodbye, Teacher Sun." Yi Hanxing waved obediently and watched Sun Cheng leave with Yu Fu.
Yu Fu and Yi Hanxing returned home and saw a stack of manuscripts by Sun Chenghua. Yu Fu carefully put them away and said, "Don't tell me, I can't understand a single word of these. Hanxing, can you understand them?"
"I can understand it a little bit." Yi Hanxing smiled.
"How long have you been studying? You can already understand some of it?" Yu Fu said in surprise: "No wonder everyone says you are talented!"
Yi Hanxing felt embarrassed again because of the praise.
After getting the blueprints, Yu Fu naturally wanted to send them back to the base immediately to facilitate modifications at the arsenal. However, he didn't expect that the checkpoints were much stricter now, and he had no chance to send them out of Shanghai for several days.
"I found out." Zhuzi went home that night and said to Fu, "Now all the papers at all checkpoints need to be checked. I heard that the Japanese stole some confidential blueprints."
"How could it be so cruel!" Yu Fu couldn't help but sigh, "They blocked the area for the past two days, but they haven't caught any Japanese spies yet?"
"That's right! We don't know how long this will last, and we can't even send these blueprints out!"
"Or..." Yi Hanxing said thoughtfully, "My family is worried about the public security in Shanghai and wants me to go back. Should I go back and fight for the right to continue my studies?"
Yu Fu and Zhuzi looked at each other and clapped their hands: "Yes! I should receive a reply to the letter I wrote to my hometown in the next two days!"
