Chapter 1 Mr. Zhong is a walking aphrodisiac.

Chapter 1 Mr. Zhong is a walking aphrodisiac.

Sigh, this is really distressing.

The research he was working on had stalled again, and Jin Huan tossed and turned, unable to sleep, spending almost all his time in the lab.

Teacher Tan advised her several times not to be so hard on herself.

Professor Tan said that a senior figure from the department, who is also a friend of hers, will be coming to give them guidance in a while. She invited him to do so, and they should listen to what he has to say, which may give them some insights.

This is truly a remarkable person. If he weren't currently abroad, she would have invited him over right now.

The students in the same research group were joking with Professor Tan, asking if he was her boyfriend, otherwise how could she have invited him over?

When the children joked around, Teacher Tan just smiled and didn't explain.

Enjoying life to the fullest doesn't depend on others.

With dark circles under my eyes, I received a call from my aunt.

It's her uncle's birthday at the end of the month, and her aunt invited her home for dinner, specifically telling her to remember to dress nicely, as there would be other guests at the house.

Jin Huan was practically raised by her aunt from a young age.

After her parents divorced, her father remarried quickly, and her mother also had a stable boyfriend. She was already twelve years old at the time and was about to start junior high school. It was not suitable for her to stay with either of them. Her aunt felt sorry for her the most. She had only been married for two years at the time, so she took her to live with her.

Jin Huan had the best relationship with her aunt.

Since her aunt had said that, Jin Huan had to cheer up no matter how upset she was. The day before she went home, she rummaged through her closet in the dormitory and realized that even though it was already autumn, she hadn't bought a single new piece of clothing.

I've been spending a lot of time in the lab lately, so I don't care what I wear; I just wear a few old clothes over and over.

So Jin Huan went to the mall on short notice.

She has always been very time-efficient in these matters, especially recently when she is short on time. She needs to make the most of every minute. By the time she reached the second store, she had already bought almost everything.

She also got a haircut.

Her hair had grown to her chest, so Jin Huan asked the hairdresser to trim the ends and give her a hair treatment. Her hair has always been in good condition, and it's a beautiful black color. The length that falls a little above her collarbone is the most comfortable for her.

The outfit she chose is perfect for her age.

The pink knit sweater had a mock turtleneck and a fitted design. It was made of a very comfortable knit fabric. The light-colored jeans accentuated her slender and long legs. Considering the sudden drop in temperature these past two days, she wore a trench coat over it.

She arrived home around 10 a.m., and her aunt was there to greet her at the door.

The villa was unusually lively, with several cars that didn't belong to the family parked in the parking lot. They must all be her uncle's friends. Fang Shuyun was delighted to see her and looked her up and down, saying with concern that she looked thinner, even though it had only been a little over a month since they last met.

Fang Jinhuan was a stubborn person. She was eager to achieve results once she threw herself into her research. She ate whatever she could find every day and definitely lost weight. Her pants from last year were now a size too big. Seeing her aunt's concern, she took her hand and said with a smile, "Then I'll definitely eat more today."

Fang Shuyun specially hired a German chef who was very good at cooking pork and potatoes. Half of the menu consisted of dishes that Jin Huan loved, so of course she wanted to eat more of them today.

Jin Huan followed her aunt inside.

The aunt and niece were discussing the latest makeup trends and sharing the colors of their newly purchased lipsticks. Fang Shuyun is a childless couple and does not plan to have children. She treats Jinhuan as her only child, and the two can talk about anything.

Her daughter, Jin Huan, was indeed beautiful. In my memory, she was still a naive young girl, but in just a few years, she has blossomed into a beautiful woman with a graceful and charming appearance.

There weren't as many people at home as Jin Huan had imagined. She glanced around and asked, "Where's my uncle?"

Fang Shuyun pointed upstairs: "They are entertaining distinguished guests."

Jin Huan wasn't very interested in the so-called distinguished guests; they were mostly her uncle's business partners, which had little to do with her.

The air conditioning was on in the villa, and the temperature gradually rose. Jin Huan took off her trench coat and hung it aside. Her skin was sensitive, and when it got hot, it would turn red starting from her neck.

Will I have an allergic reaction?

Jin Huan touched her neck with the back of her hand to cool it down, not daring to scratch it. Once her skin was scarred, it was difficult for it to heal, which became a new problem for her today. In order not to embarrass herself at her uncle's birthday banquet, she wanted to go back to her room to find allergy medicine.

I keep this at home because I often have allergies.

Jin Huan sighed softly, realizing that Mercury might be in a bad luck cycle lately. Feeling distressed and knowing there was probably no way to resolve it, she turned and went upstairs.

As soon as she touched the railing, she felt a cold gaze above her, like an impenetrable net hanging over her head. Her breath caught in her throat, and she slowly looked up to see the man's hand also resting on the railing.

His long, strong joints, extending to his wrists, made Jin Huan's heart tighten. She paused for a moment before continuing to look, noticing the man's silver wristwatch, black suit, black velvet tie, and silver tie clip...

This alone was enough to make Jin Huan feel breathless.

She paused for a moment before looking up at his face.

His eyes were deep, cold yet sharp, and the soft angles of his brow bone gave him a gentle yet distant air. He looked down at her with a haughty gaze.

It is a one-sided view of "examination" by Jin Huan.

The gaze of those in power.

She felt the burning sensation spreading from her neck to her cheeks. Her skin was fair, and the redness was particularly noticeable. She felt a sense of shame, like when she was caught doing something wrong by her homeroom teacher in elementary school.

The English name called out seemed to be Elvis. He responded, turned around and smiled politely: "It's okay, I'm not hungry yet."

His voice was magnetic and charming, making Jin Huan think of the phrase "walking aphrodisiac".

Back in her room, Jin Huan took out an allergy pill from the drawer and swallowed it with a glass of mineral water.

In fact, she didn't even know if she was having an allergic reaction; her neck was just burning painfully, and the pill she took didn't seem to have any effect.

That might not be an allergy.

Jin Huan herself didn't know that this was the first time she had such a strange feeling, including her heart beating very fast. She tried to smooth her chest to relieve the discomfort.

Half an hour later, Jin Huan came out of the room and returned to the banquet hall, only to remember that her clothes were still hanging outside.

The hall was now quite crowded. Jin Huan consciously scanned the room and saw that the man from before was now talking to a blond, blue-eyed foreigner.

That should also be my uncle's business partner, a German, whom I had met before.

He listens attentively when others are speaking, occasionally responding with a smile and a nod, but more often with a cold expression, showing that he handles such situations with ease.

"Jin Huan, try this." Fang Shuyun called to her, holding a cup of coffee in her hand. It was homemade; a friend had recently given her some coffee beans. The aroma and bitterness were well-balanced, not too sour, and suited her taste perfectly. She thought Jin Huan would like it too.

"Thank you, Auntie." Jin Huan took it, took a small sip, and smiled at her aunt.

It tastes good.

Lately, I've been relying on coffee to keep me going in the lab, ordering one cup every morning and another every afternoon. I feel like I can almost smell iced Americano in my blood. But after drinking so much of what you get at the shops, my aunt's coffee is definitely different.

"Auntie, who is that?" Jin Huan looked in the direction of the man and asked Fang Shuyun in a low voice.

"Distinguished guest."

Fang Shuyun said, "That is Zhong Yan, Mr. Zhong."

Zhong Yan.

Jin Huan silently recited the name in her heart; it was a name she had never heard before.

The coffee beans were a gift from Mr. Zhong. He has high standards for food quality. He remembered the coffee beans when she mentioned them last time and brought them back for them when he went abroad recently. Fang Shuyun was surprised that Mr. Zhong would take such a small thing to heart, since she had only mentioned it casually.

Speaking of this, Fang Shuyun prepared to make another cup and send it to Mr. Zhong, since he was the one who bought the beans.

“Auntie, I’ll go,” Jin Huan said quickly. “I’ll take it to Mr. Zhong.”

Fang Shuyun didn't care too much about this, but she wanted to treat the distinguished guest well. Jinhuan was a proper child, but Fang Shuyun still told her to be polite in front of Mr. Zhong, as he would probably prefer well-behaved children.

Jin Huan listened attentively and agreed to everything. Only after Zhong Yan finished talking to the other person did she bring the coffee over.

There were many small snacks at the banquet. Coffee and snacks go well together. Jin Huan thought so too, so she took it upon herself to order a small cake, black tea chestnut flavored, about half the size of her palm. Jin Huan could eat one in two bites.

She just ate quite a lot of cake, and this was the best one she'd ever tasted. It had a really strong chestnut flavor, perfect for this season.

Jin Huan wasn't very knowledgeable about coffee, but she had a certain appreciation for sweets. After all, she loved to eat and ate a lot. When she saw Zhong Yan, she inexplicably wanted to share the delicious food with him, even though it made her a little nervous, especially when he looked at her with a gentle yet oppressive gaze that made Jin Huan's breathing slow down.

"Mr. Zhong, this is coffee my aunt made for you." Jin Huan was the most obedient girl when facing elders. She placed the plate in front of him, feeling slightly flustered. Her tone was very soft, and her smile was probably appropriate. She said, "My aunt said thank you for the coffee beans."

Zhong Yan's gaze lingered on the girl for only a moment before shifting to the cup of coffee. The small cake next to it, adorned with cream, was snow-white and sat quietly, looking more eye-catching than the coffee, almost overshadowing it.

"Please thank your aunt for me," he said with a polite smile.

He reached for the cup, took a small sip, and his expression betrayed neither satisfaction nor dissatisfaction. His eyes, like the lukewarm water in the cup, remained calm and unmoved.

He took a sip, put down the cup, glanced at Jin Huan again, and said, "Thank you for the cake too."

Zhong Yan didn't pay much attention to the child's behavior, as it was the kind of food that girls would carefully prepare. Even though he didn't particularly like sweets, he still expressed his gratitude for the cake she had specially chosen.

Jin Huan never expected that he would specifically thank him for this.

Her face turned even redder, which was really embarrassing. She couldn't say anything, and the usually generous woman stammered, "N-no, you're welcome."

Jin Huan didn't know what she was nervous about, but she was nervous in front of him, as if an invisible hand was gripping her throat.

Before the tension could ease, he heard him say something else.

“Miss Fang, I’ll just have a bite, but I probably won’t finish it,” he said calmly. “Please don’t mind.”

It's just a piece of cake; there's no need to explain so much to her. Besides, he's a guest, and she really doesn't care whether he minds or not. But it's enough to show how considerate he is.

The word "Miss Fang" made Jin Huan's ears turn red.

Mr. Zhong is a good person.

A note from the author:

When Zhu Hao was sent to Zhou You for discipline, she was staring at him like she was staring at prey.

It will be hers sooner or later.

.

The thing Zhou You regretted most in his life was probably telling Zhu Hao to stop fooling around when she repeatedly expressed her love for him.

This made his entire summer damp.

My name is your blessing.

I wish you all the best for the rest of your life.
