Chapter 19 "Let's shower together."...
Jin Huan genuinely enjoys being close to him.
Such a simple kiss, even just a touch of lips, made him a little dizzy from being drunk, and his reaction was not obvious; only the corners of his mouth curved slightly.
In reality, Jin Huan wasn't very good at kissing; the most intimate thing she'd ever done was bite his lip. As she hugged his neck and took the initiative, Zhong Yan just looked down at her, his eyes filled with a hint of indulgence.
As she kissed him, she looked up at him, her gaze fixed on him, yet her face flushed completely under his indulgence.
So the movement stopped along with the breathing.
It felt like suddenly falling into water and holding your breath.
Half of her knee was rubbing against his leg, and now, because her body was weak, she began to slowly slide down. Only then did Zhong Yan slowly reach out to hug her, catching her before she fell, and pulling her back into his arms.
"Be careful, don't fall." Zhong Yan tightened his arm around her.
Zhong Yan smelled slightly of alcohol, but it wasn't unpleasant at all. The alcohol scent lingered deep in his lips and teeth, and Jin Huan's overt kiss only touched him a little. She lay on his chest, looked up at him, and took small, slow breaths.
"Have you learned how to kiss yet?" Zhong Yan asked softly, his tone revealing no emotion, but his few words seemed to be mocking her. Jin Huan lowered her head in shame.
She whispered, "If you don't teach me... how can I learn?"
Do I look like I'm good at it?
Jin Huan replied matter-of-factly, "There's nothing you can't do."
Zhong Yan chuckled softly and said, "No... I'm not good at everything either."
The person in his arms did not agree with his statement. In her opinion, Mr. Zhong was capable of everything, and kissing was something he could do too.
Zhong Yan looked down at her for a while and saw that her lips were redder than before, and there seemed to be a trace of the wine he had just drunk on them. He tightened his grip on her arm so that she could sit completely in his lap.
With a gentle pull of his arm, her lips almost touched his.
"Try biting down there." Zhong Yan's lips parted slightly as he reminded her to start, "Biting gently."
She has small, sharp teeth, and I'm afraid she won't really bite, or she'll bite too hard.
Jin Huan stared at his lips, thinking that his lips were actually rather thin, but they felt very soft to kiss, like the pastry she had just eaten.
Jin Huan was thinking this in her heart, so she paused for a while before he gently bit her. She sucked lightly, imitating him before, and gently licked.
At this moment, their breathing began to quicken, making it easier for her to kiss him. Zhong Yan kept one arm around her from behind.
"Now, do you want to open your mouth?" He almost coaxed her, teaching her slowly, "Just open it a little bit... Try to breathe on your own."
Zhong Yan was almost entirely passive, leaving it to her to do as she pleased. He was feeling a slight throbbing in his head and his mind wasn't very clear, so he just thought that at this moment, he should let her try as much as she wanted.
He knew that Jin Huan would be very measured.
Jin Huan preferred to bite lightly. She would bite two or three times and then take a breath. Her tongue would occasionally touch his lips to taste his flavor. She had probably found the trick. Her face would no longer turn red so easily as before, and her breathing would gradually become calmer. Seeing that he was also comfortable and his eyelids were drooping, Jin Huan slowly became certain that what she was doing was right.
The kiss lasted a long time.
The sound of fireworks and firecrackers outside gradually brought it to its senses that it was getting dark. Jin Huan rested her chin on his chest and could clearly feel that his chest was more congested than before. She asked him softly, "Are you comfortable like this?"
Zhong Yan lazily lifted his eyelids. His lips were slightly sore from her small, sharp teeth biting them, but the pain was nothing to him. He nodded lightly and then saw her smile with her eyes crinkled.
Kissing should be something that makes both people happy, and Jin Huan was delighted to hear Zhong Yan say that it felt good too.
Fireworks are set off at night.
Fireworks are not allowed in the city, but the restrictions have been relaxed a lot in the last two years. On holidays and special days, fireworks are a great way to add atmosphere.
The Zhong family has arranged fireworks tonight.
Zhong Yan had a slight headache, but she still accompanied Jin Huan to the hospital.
Jin Huan is still very interested in fireworks. One year during her undergraduate years, she went to a concert with her roommate. After the concert, fireworks were set off outside the venue. Jin Huan still remembers the amazing scene.
His room's balcony offers a great viewpoint.
Before the fireworks started, Jin Huan went downstairs by herself.
Zhong Yan sat on the sofa and slowly recovered.
On a family dinner occasion like this, especially on New Year's Eve, drinking a little alcohol is inevitable. This alcohol is a strong liquor that my family brought back from Germany, and it has a strong aftereffect. Plus, we just had a kiss... Zhong Yan has rarely been this out of his mind.
Jin Huan went downstairs for more than ten minutes, then jogged back in, carrying a small bowl in her hand.
"Please drink this."
Zhong Yan sat up and looked at her hand, which was probably a bowl of hangover soup. He reached out and took it, asking slowly, "Did you make this?"
Jin Huan nodded, then shook his head.
It wasn't entirely her cooking; there was already some in the kitchen, kept warm in a pot. She looked around the kitchen and remembered a traditional hangover tea she had read about in a book, which included tea leaves, chrysanthemum, and honeysuckle. It was refreshing and helped with hangovers, so she added some of that herself.
Zhong Yan took a few sips.
The water flowed from his throat into his stomach. Because there was a lot of tea, it tasted slightly astringent, but Zhong Yan liked the taste. He moved his throat slightly and quickly finished the cup of water.
"Are you feeling better?" Jin Huan asked with concern.
She had never been drunk before, but she could guess that being drunk felt terrible. Rather than the idea that drinking could relax her, Jin Huan felt that the throbbing sensation in her head after getting drunk was much worse.
Zhong Yan nodded: "I feel better."
Jin Huan was still very worried about him.
She had never seen Mr. Zhong so listless before. His eyes and movements were slowed down by the alcohol. She had been so focused on kissing him that she hadn't noticed this at all.
"I'm fine." Seeing her worry, Zhong Yan reassured her, "The reason you look a little dizzy... is because you kissed me."
His voice was low and slow, even more magnetic, and a short statement made Jin Huan's face turn red instantly.
It was her fault; she kissed for a bit too long. I didn't see the exact time, but it must have been from dawn until dusk.
"Then what should we do?" Jin Huan asked him.
Such an adorable question left Zhong Yan speechless; he simply chuckled softly.
Jin Huan pursed her lips in annoyance and assured him, "Next time I'll set an alarm to tell you the time, it definitely won't take this long."
I thought she would say she wouldn't kiss me again next time, but instead she said something like she would use an alarm clock to keep track of time.
Such a frustrating thought process.
"What time is it?" Zhong Yan asked her.
Jin Huan glanced at her watch: "It's six o'clock."
The fireworks should start now.
Zhong Yan and she went to the balcony to watch the fireworks.
Because of the alcohol, Zhong Yan became more talkative than before. It was clear that Jin Huan wanted to know about his past. He mentioned that when he was in college, he often watched fireworks here.
Rather than watching, he spent more time thinking about things, especially money and power.
Zhong Yan used to pursue these things more. He was used to standing at the top, looking down at everything. Obtaining these things would bring him a little happiness, but it was only a very short-lived happiness.
Once you have enough of these things, they become less important.
Apart from that, he wasn't interested in anything else.
After all, even marriage serves his power.
The meaning of marriage slowly became apparent at this moment. It was the first time she had watched fireworks here with other people around her. She leaned against him, curiously looking up at the sky. To her, fireworks were just fireworks; when they bloomed, there was no need to think about anything else.
Jin Huan's eyes sparkled.
The wind was a bit cool at this time, but she felt it was just right on her face. The kiss had made her feel dazed, and the wind made her much more awake.
Tomorrow is New Year's Eve, and today's fireworks are already so grand. Jin Huan asked Zhong Yan curiously if there would be such grand fireworks tomorrow.
“There are no plans for tomorrow,” Zhong Yan said. “Today was a family dinner, and everyone in the family was there, so there was a dinner. Tomorrow, it should just be us.”
My grandfather was very traditional in this regard. He came from a generation that placed great emphasis on family succession. A family like the Zhong family has a wide-ranging influence, so it not only needs a qualified leader, but also needs to take into account the interests of all aspects of the family. After all, a family cannot be supported by any one person.
She'll have to watch carefully today.
Hearing him say that, Jin Huan blinked, then stood on tiptoe to look at it carefully.
The fireworks display lasted for almost half an hour. After returning to his room, Zhong Yan was mostly sober.
He needs to take a shower now.
Jin Huan was still immersed in the atmosphere of the fireworks when she saw Zhong Yan taking his pajamas to the bathroom. She called out to him, "Mr. Zhong."
Zhong Yan turned around, responded, and looked at him with gentle eyes.
"Please be careful," Jin Huan instructed him. "If you feel dizzy, the water shouldn't be too hot, and don't close the door completely."
Also... don't wash for too long.
Zhong Yan replied, "I understand."
Jin Huan was still very worried. News reports of people passing out in the shower after getting drunk kept flashing through her mind, along with other unpleasant examples like brain hemorrhage or head injuries, which made her extremely anxious.
Seeing her furrowed brows, Zhong Yan wondered why she was so worried about him. He said, "If you're so worried... then come and shower with me."
Jin Huan was stunned for a moment: "Really?"
Jin Huan's mind was racing with all sorts of thoughts; she hadn't even officially met... that person yet.
I've only truly experienced its size and shape; it can completely fill an area, and even more, making it difficult to enter. So it must be an enormous thing. I haven't actually seen it, so I can't describe it accurately.
You'll see it when you wash it together.
Zhong Yan sighed helplessly.
She often made him so eager that he couldn't resist, and he took everything she said seriously. He even felt a sense of anticipation when she said that. Zhong Yan shook his head: "Of course it's not true."
Jin Huan exclaimed "Ah!" and blushed as she explained, "That's not what I meant."
There aren't even any protective items here, of course that won't work.
"I didn't mean to take advantage of someone in distress." Zhong Yan wasn't very enthusiastic about this matter, which made her seem too enthusiastic. Jin Huan explained again, trying to salvage her image.
"It's not that we can't, it's just next time," Zhong Yan said gently. "Let's do it together next time."
