Chapter 41. Liking is more than just liking. ...

Jin Huan doesn't mean he understands everything.

Her world is much simpler. She has those vibrant emotions and knows whether she wants something or not, but she never thinks too much. Thinking too much would be exhausting.

So at that moment, she didn't even immediately realize what Zhong Yan meant by those words.

She was still somewhat confused, immersed in that slight tingling sensation. When she realized that Zhong Yan was asking her questions and saying such gentle things, her first thought was, "I'm glad he's not angry."

After a long pause, Jin Huan finally replied, somewhat bewildered, "I understand."

She blinked, unsure whether she even understood what she was talking about.

It seems like she just wanted to agree to his request so he wouldn't be angry.

Zhong Yan's eyes darkened. He continued to slowly massage her hands, his movements sometimes heavy and sometimes light, giving the impression that he was doing it deliberately. As a result, that little bit of sensation caused Jin Huan to inexplicably start to overflow with desire.

She was pulled into this strange state, and her brain temporarily lost the ability to think.

Zhong Yan's eyes softened. He didn't say anything more, but gently patted his hand again and asked in a low voice, "Aren't you going to get up?"

Beneath her skirt, her slender legs were draped over the sofa, her toes curled up. Knowing that Zhong Yan wasn't angry, she grew bolder and mumbled, "...There's still water."

"What? You have a third ear?" Zhong Yan asked slowly, teasing her. He said that, but he still took out a cotton swab and prepared to check her again.

Jin Huan slowly brought her knees together, bending her legs upwards. She bit her lower lip, her voice growing softer: "It's other places..."

There were only the two of them in the villa, and the huge floor-to-ceiling windows offered a complete view of the outside scenery.

Zhong Yan's gaze swept over quietly. The person lying on his lap pulled himself closer to his arms again. The thin nightgown was rolled up, and the white fabric was very sheer, revealing a slightly damp mark. Zhong Yan's gaze lingered for a few seconds, then his hand moved down, his palm almost completely covering the person.

His pressure gradually increased, and a warm sensation accumulated in his palm. This heat, transmitted through the fabric, created a damp feeling, as if the moisture was being evaporated.

"Is this alright?" Zhong Yan asked casually. His thigh muscles seemed to tighten up, but he remained still, massaging for a while before stopping and covering them with his hand.

Jin Huan felt like she was back in the swimming pool, floating on the water's surface, creating a magical feeling of being unable to go up or down, only being hindered by the current, yet it didn't stop the waves from crashing in.

She was so overwhelmed by these waves that she couldn't think straight.

When her back started to tremble slightly and she felt a distinct spasm in her palms, Zhong Yan raised his hand and gently patted her back. The dampness from his palms dissipated into the air, filling the surroundings with a sweet, cloying fragrance.

Zhong Yan sniffed lightly.

“Our little treasure likes it this way too, doesn’t she?” Zhong Yan knew she liked it. This kind of behavior was simply to please her. After all, women should be more sensitive to this. And Zhong Yan now knew Jin Huan well enough to be completely aware of every aspect of her body.

The feeling of relaxation after the spasm was also very comfortable. Because she was still in Zhong Yan's arms, she could slowly savor the feeling. Jin Huan leaned forward again, closed her eyes, and was even unwilling to leave.

She liked to lie down, so Zhong Yan let her lie like that.

He kept his hand on her back, using the continuous warmth to give her a sense of security, until he coaxed the person in his arms to sleep.

Even breathing could be heard. Zhong Yan looked down at her profile. She was sleeping peacefully with her eyes closed. Her chest was not rising and falling much, but she was sleeping soundly. Even lying like this, she was sleeping soundly.

She seemed to feel safe whenever she was by his side.

Zhong Yan's lips curved slightly, his heart feeling completely full.

The feeling of liking is no longer just liking.

.

Jin Huan practiced diligently for two more days, and now she can swim two laps in the water. She even boasted that she wanted to compete with Zhong Yan in swimming speed.

Although Zhong Yan is not a professional swimmer, this is just one of his many ways of exercising. When he is stressed, he will jump into the pool to relieve stress. For Zhong Yan, these are probably the only ways to release stress in the past.

Now there are others.

She said she wanted to compete, so Zhong Yan competed with her.

A competition requires a competitive attitude, and they certainly wouldn't go easy on her. Zhong Yan and she started at the same time, and before long, Jin Huan, who was behind him, could only get splashed in the face by the water.

She was practically forced to swallow a lot of water.

Zhong Yan reached the finish line first. He leaned against the poolside and watched Jin Huan struggle to swim towards him. She had already used all her strength, and the scene was quite amusing. Zhong Yan suppressed his laughter, but the corners of his eyes still curved slightly.

The person finally swam to his side, and all he could see was that her cheeks were bulging. Zhong Yan reached out and pinched her chin, forcing her to open her mouth and spit out the water she had swallowed.

"It's dirty, spit it out yourself." Zhong Yan told her not to do something as stupid as swallowing dirty water, pressed her to spit it out, and then gave her water to rinse her mouth.

Then Zhong Yan put his arm around her waist and helped her ashore.

"All I saw were waves, all hitting my face." Jin Huan complained as she walked, this blow to her confidence made her feel a little frustrated. Who gave her the courage to compete with Zhong Yan?

Look at Zhong Yan's muscles, and then look at her.

How could anyone possibly compare?

That's simply a fantasy.

Jin Huan complained while eating cake.

"Were you a professional swimmer before?" Jin Huan couldn't help but ask.

"Do I look like I still have time to do this?" Zhong Yan poured her another glass of refreshing juice.

Jin Huan knew it was impossible, but she was still a little unconvinced, so she asked casually. She stuffed a big bite of cake into her mouth, and the creamy flavor instantly filled her mouth. She asked again.

"So what did you do besides studying and working before? Why do I feel like there's nothing you can't do?"

In Jin Huan's heart, Zhong Yan was such a person.

He is self-disciplined and self-controlled, and always has twice as much time and energy as others. He can do everything very well, including some small things that others may not care about.

Is this how Zhong Yan is now? Was this how Zhong Yan was before?

Jin Huan was very curious about this; she had been curious about it for a long time.

During the years when she and Zhong Yan were apart, what was he really like?

“Nothing,” Zhong Yan said. “Just like this.”

"Always has it?"

"It always has been."

"What about even earlier? When you were my age, or even younger than me?" Once Jin Huan got curious, a lot of questions popped into her head. She wanted to know this and that, always wanting to delve deeper, as if she could find out something different.

Zhong Yan saw her curious eyes staring intently at him. He chuckled, took a tissue, and reached out to wipe away a bit of cream from the corner of her mouth.

"You've eaten your way up to look like a little kitten," Zhong Yan chuckled softly.

Jin Huan frowned slightly and muttered a couple of words, "You just don't want me to know that when you were my age, I might have been able to swim past you."

"Why do you always want to be the same age as me?" Zhong Yan wiped her clean and couldn't help but say, "Is it unfair to you that I'm older than you?"

Jin Huan opened her mouth, seemingly about to launch into a major rebuttal, but only managed a soft "No, I didn't."

Zhong Yan was just teasing her at first, but recently he has found that his wife is quite easy to tease. She will pretend to be angry and put on a stern face after he says something, but she doesn't take it to heart and forgets about it in the blink of an eye.

Zhong Yan seemed to know what she was thinking, and he said calmly, "Yes, I should be glad that I'm older than you."

After all, that's what she likes.

Jin Huan seemed not to hear those words. Her mind was a little detached. She recalled the past two nights at the villa. She had spent too much energy learning to swim during the day, so much so that she fell asleep as soon as her head hit the pillow at night and basically had no extra energy to do anything else.

The only thing that made her happy was that her lung capacity had increased significantly.

Jin Huan suddenly looked up at him, and when their eyes met, she hesitated and asked softly, "Next time, would you like to... try not wearing that?"

Zhong Yan paused for a moment, but he didn't immediately agree or refuse her. In this respect, he always cared a lot about her feelings.

He would try to guess what she was thinking when she said that.

"You want to try...is that it?" He could guess Jin Huan's thoughts, that she was probably thinking about something more intimate, like going straight inside.

They haven't discussed topics like children or conception yet. Jin Huan is still in school, and her studies and research are the most important things for her. They can talk about other things later; they have plenty of time.

Jin Huan blushed and nodded. Her breathing quickened along with her heartbeat. She then lowered her head and murmured, "It's okay even if I am pregnant."

Zhong Yan didn't speak.

The emotions in his eyes seemed to have stopped, and he didn't think her thoughts were naive.

She simply couldn't understand any of this.

Zhong Yan simply said, "It will come gradually in the future."

Although Zhong Yan didn't go to the company, he was still very busy. After lunch, he went to the study for a meeting. Jin Huan was sleepy, so she went back to her room to rest.

When a person's energy is depleted, they sleep better than ever. I slept for more than two hours and woke up at 3 p.m. The sunlight was shining directly in and hurt my eyes.

Jin Huan rubbed her eyes and got out of bed.

Zhong Yan hadn't returned yet, probably still busy, so she went to the study to find him.

The study door was ajar; I gently pushed it open, but there was no one inside.

Jin Huan saw that his notebook and pen were still on the table, and although the computer screen was off, a red light was still flashing below.

Zhong Yan takes careful notes during meetings. Although he has a secretary, he prefers to do these things himself. He finds it more efficient to handle things himself, and he has been doing so for many years.

Jin Huan looked around the study and vaguely saw Zhong Yan's handwriting on the notebook. It was mostly about his company and projects, but she didn't really understand it and wasn't interested.

She had probably looked through the study in the house and knew what books were in it. Apart from professional books, Zhong Yan read a wide variety of things, covering a little bit of everything. Only by continuously learning can one avoid falling behind. In Jin Huan's opinion, that was exactly what Zhong Yan thought.

There are also many books in this study.

Jin Huan had been here for a few days and it was her first time here. She looked around curiously and found that the place was mostly about finance and business.

Further down the bookshelf, there were some older-looking books, which seemed to be some reference books from Zhong Yan's university days.

Jin Huan curiously took out a book.

Although they studied similar majors, Jin Huan still wanted to see the differences in the content. She flipped through it and found that there were still significant differences.

Jin Huan could recognize that it was Teacher Tan's handwriting.

She froze, then continued flipping down, when suddenly something fell down.

Jin Huan's gaze swept over.

It's a postcard with writing on it.
