Chapter 157: Black Magic

Chapter 157: Black Magic

"Oh, by the way, I have asked for leave for tomorrow's baking class. There will be another teacher teaching you." Huang Yiran said.

After he finished speaking, he got no response. He turned his head to look at Yu Huan. She looked lost and didn't know what she was thinking.

"Hey, I'm talking to you, what are you thinking about?" Huang Yiran patted her.

Yu Huan snapped back to his senses and turned his head to look at him. "Sorry, I was just thinking about something. What did you say?"

Huang Yiran tutted his words and repeated, "I said I have something to do and can't attend class tomorrow. Another teacher will take my place."

Yu Huan nodded, "Oh."

Huang Yiran was dissatisfied with her reaction, "That's it?"

Yu Huan looked bewildered, "What else can we do?"

Huang Yiran suddenly felt a little angry. He didn't know whether he was angry at himself or at the stupidity of the person in front of him. Why did he fall in love with such a stupid person?

Taking a deep breath, he said, "Why don't you ask me why I want leave?"

Yu Huan was still thinking about the car just now, and didn't catch what Huang Yiran wanted to convey at all. He retracted his gaze and shook his head, "I'm not your boss. If you have something to do, just ask for leave."

"You!" Huang Yiran held his breath in his heart, and angrily took a few quick steps forward, leaving her behind, muttering under his breath: "You are so stupid!"

After taking two quick steps, he didn't hear her calling him, nor did he hear any footsteps following her, so he stopped resignedly.

"I'm talking to you..." He turned to look at Yu Huan, but saw her standing there motionless.

The expression on her face seemed familiar to him, just like the time he met her in the villa area, with deep sadness in her hesitation.

But it was different from that time. She bit her lip and seemed to have made some decision.

She had no eyes for him at all, and didn't even notice that he had stopped and looked back at her. She turned around and ran towards the door.

Huang Yiran seemed to have guessed something. He paused for a moment and followed Yu Huan to the door.

He wanted to see what the person who repeatedly made Yu Huan show this expression looked like.

Yu Huan didn't know why she had to go back. She wasn't sure that the car was Meng Han, but she always held a glimmer of hope in her heart.

What if it really is him?

What if he really came to see her?

As she followed Huang Yiran into the community, her mind was full of only one thing.

If he regretted it and came to her, should she forgive him?

After much thought, there is only one clear answer.

If he turned around to look for her, she would throw herself into his arms faster than he could.

So she wanted to confirm whether the car was really his. If it was him, she was willing to step forward and use her courage to fill the distance that he was afraid to take.

If it's really him...

Yu Huan ran to the gate of the community and stood where he had just stood, but there were no more vehicles on the road.

The place where it was now was replaced by another car, as if that car had never appeared.

It was as if all this was just her imagination. Looking back, taking the initiative, and having courage were all just her wishful thinking.

He...really doesn't want her anymore.

Tears fell like a dam bursting, and in an instant my face was covered with tears.

She covered her face and squatted down in pain, crying uncontrollably.

Huang Yiran stood behind her. He didn't know what Yu Huan had seen that caused her to suddenly collapse. He looked around, but there was clearly nothing.

Hesitantly stepped forward, he squatted beside her, tentatively extended his hand, and finally placed it on her back, "It's okay, it's okay."

He didn't know what to say at this moment, but saying nothing seemed wrong either.

The person under the palm was crying so hard that her whole back was trembling slightly. Her voice was suppressed between her arms, but one could still hear her sadness.

He felt a little distressed and angry at the same time, and secretly cursed the man who made Yu Huan so sad.

As he cursed, he couldn't help but say what was in his heart.

"Since that person doesn't cherish you, you shouldn't like him anymore."

Like me, I will definitely cherish you more than he does.

He didn't say the last sentence. Now was not a good time to make his feelings clear.

These words were meant to comfort Yu Huan, but Yu Huan raised her head from her arms and looked at him with a tearful face, firmly denying his words.

"He didn't fail to cherish me, he just cherished me too much."

Huang Yiran: “…”

He immediately got angry. Was she cursed by that person? She was crying like this, and he still cherished her?

If you really cherish her, would you let her cry like this again and again?

Brainwashed?

The more he thought about it, the angrier he became. A feeling of anger at Yu Huan for not fighting back was burning in his chest. He wanted to scold Yu Huan and wake her up.

But looking at that crying face, I couldn't bring myself to curse.

Reaching out and pushing her head back, he said angrily: "Go ahead and cry! You deserve it!"

Yu Huan couldn't cry anymore. She wiped her face twice, propped herself up and walked towards the community.

"Are you done crying?" Huang Yiran followed, a little angry in his words.

"No, I'll go back and cry." Yu Huan replied in a humming voice.

Huang Yiran: “…”

He couldn't hold it in any longer and asked, "Did you see him just now? Was it because of him that you cried so hard in the villa area last time?"

As he spoke, a person suddenly popped up in his mind. It was the man he and Yu Huan had met in front of the subway station before. He was driving a high-profile supercar and was obviously a playboy from a wealthy family.

However, if it was that man, he did not seem to be competitive enough.

As soon as the thought came to his mind, he suppressed it.

How could he boost others' morale and destroy his own prestige? After all, that person hurt Yu Huan's heart, and now is a good opportunity for him to take advantage of the situation!

He glanced at Yu Huan secretly. She was lowering her head and did not answer his question.

He understood what was going on and continued, "I understand how you feel. When you like someone, you do think they're great in every way, but that's just an illusion fueled by hormones. If you think about it differently, if they're truly great, you wouldn't be so heartbroken."

Yu Huan couldn't bear to hear others say bad things about Meng Han. In her eyes, Meng Han was good in every way, even though she was so sad because of him.

He's still good everywhere.

But she didn't want to argue with Huang Yiran. He didn't know what happened between her and Meng Han, so there was no point in telling him about it.

If she said it out loud, he would just think she was a love-brained person.

"You don't understand." I just said to him casually.

I originally wanted him to be tactful and not talk about this topic, but Huang Yiran got excited.

He stopped Yu Huan, held her shoulders with both hands, stared at her seriously and asked, "Is it me who doesn't understand, or are you deceiving yourself and unwilling to face reality?"
