Chapter 62 I Want You to Hug Me
Meng Han nodded, said nothing more, put on his glasses and drove out of the parking lot.
Yu Huan was waiting for him to ask why her father hit her and why she was still beaten by her parents at such a age, so as to learn about the abnormal way of getting along in her family.
But he didn't ask anything, as if he really just wanted to know why she was injured.
He was not interested in the reasons behind the reasons.
Yu Huan's mind was full of mixed thoughts for a while, both because he didn't cross the line and because he didn't cross the line.
He is a real rule-abiding guy.
She lowered her eyes to hide the complex emotions in them.
The car was moving forward quietly. After Yu Huan calmed down, he looked out the window and saw the familiar streets outside. He knew that he would be home soon.
Although they were a little reluctant, the atmosphere between the two of them today didn't seem to allow them to do anything.
Just when she was feeling regretful, the car turned and drove into an open-air parking lot on the street.
Yu Huan was very familiar with this parking lot. Every time Meng Han parked in, it meant he had something to say.
And every time, there was a new breakthrough in their relationship.
Yu Huan's heartbeat subconsciously quickened, and he turned to look at Meng Han.
Meng Han parked the car, but didn't look at her immediately, nor did he speak immediately, as if he was choosing his words.
Yu Huan's heart beat faster and faster. She didn't know what Meng Han was going to say, but she had a bad feeling.
Maybe this time it’s not a breakthrough, but a complete end.
"Yu Huan."
Yu Huan rarely heard Meng Han call her name. When was the last time? She had already forgotten.
Did he call me? And didn't he?
She was so nervous that her mind was a little confused.
"I'm..." She answered hesitantly. If she wasn't afraid that he would be angry, she wouldn't even want to answer him. As long as she didn't answer, she wouldn't wait for him to speak next.
"I'm not interested in your family affairs, but I do mind if there are traces of people other than me on my partners." His eyes swept over her with an oppressive feeling that made her unable to resist.
"This isn't the first time."
Even though his tone was not harsh, and could even be considered gentle, it still made Yu Huan panic.
She understood what Meng Han meant. He hated overly complicated family relationships and wanted to end them.
"Not anymore!" she answered immediately.
Meng Han looked at her steadily, "Can you promise?"
This sentence stumped Yu Huan.
She couldn't guarantee it. Her parents were like a time bomb. No matter how humbly and tolerant she was, they would always explode suddenly, leaving her defenseless.
I feel wronged, sad, and strongly unwilling.
She looked up at Meng Han, fighting back tears, "But... this isn't my fault."
She clearly didn't do anything and had already retreated enough, so why did she have to be deprived of her last bit of hope?
The emotion in her eyes was so strong that Meng Han felt a little bit sorry for it.
But if not, it would be very troublesome for both her and him.
"I know it's not your fault."
Yu Huan grabbed his words as if they were a life-saving straw, and hurriedly said, "Since it's not my fault, you shouldn't let me bear the consequences. It's unfair to me!"
Tears fell at this moment, carrying her unwillingness and grievance.
She hoped that he would give her a warm hug when she cried, wipe away her tears, and comfort her softly, just like he did the previous two times.
But he didn't. He just looked at her quietly, without hugging or comforting her, as cold as a stranger.
"This is indeed unfair to you, but there is no absolute fairness in this world."
"As an adult, you may not be able to change others, but you should have the ability to get yourself out of trouble."
"If you can't even protect yourself, why should you let your partner suffer your miserable life with you?"
“This is also unfair to the other party.”
His words hit Yu Huan's sore spot, leaving her no room for rebuttal.
He was right, she was no longer a teenager, she was an adult, but she still dealt with her parents the same way she had as a child.
Just because she can tolerate this method doesn't mean others can.
No one wants to make close friends with someone like her. Her parents will mess everything up, as her former friends have shown.
But...but...
She grabbed Meng Han's hand, looked at him for help, her eyes red, and spoke with trembling lips: "I... I also want..."
"But...but I don't know what to do."
"...Can you please teach me? Please teach me how to do it."
Teach her how to escape from this predicament, teach her how to no longer be bound by nightmares, teach her how to stay by his side.
She cried so hard that big tears rolled down her face and hit the back of Meng Han's hand.
It was very light, but it caused a dull pain in his chest.
Once again, he made an exception for her.
He raised his hand to touch her cheek, his fingertips wet with the tears on her face, and gently stroked it.
"If I teach you, will you do it?"
Yu Huan nodded vigorously, and spoke in a hoarse voice with sobs, fearing that it would be too late to answer, so he took back what he said.
"I will do it! I will be very obedient and do whatever you ask me to do."
"Then, stop crying." He let go of her face, took out a tissue and handed it to her, "Wipe away your tears."
Yu Huan immediately fell silent, swallowed back all her tears, took the tissue from his hand and quickly wiped the tears from her face.
After wiping her own tears, she did not forget to wipe the tears from Meng Han's fingertips.
Meng Han lowered his eyes and looked at her wiping seriously and carefully, his eyes slightly darker.
Yu Huan wiped his hands dry, looked up at him, and replied obediently, "Clean."
"Yeah, very good." Meng Han responded softly, giving his affirmation.
Yu Huan's mind moved. Now that the crisis was over, her greed took advantage of the situation and she was ready to act.
"It's late today. I'll tell you what to do tomorrow. I'll take you back now."
"good."
The car drove out of the parking lot and headed towards Yu Huan's house.
A few minutes later, they stopped at the roadside where Meng Han always parked his car. "We're here."
Yu Huan unbuckled his seat belt and reached for the door handle, but was hesitant to open the door.
She was reluctant to get off the bus and end this rare opportunity.
The growing desire in her heart controlled her, causing her to turn around and face Meng Han, leaning close to him, and making requests that sounded both begging and tempting.
"I...I want you to hug me, can you?"
